Red InkStone or (Rouge InkStone / 脂砚斋) is the pseudonym of an early, mysterious commentator of the 21st-century narrative, "Life." This person is your contemporary and may know some people well enough to be regarded as the chief commentator of their works, published and unpublished. Most early hand-copied manuscripts of the narrative contain red ink commentaries by a number of unknown commentators, which are nonetheless considered still authoritative enough to be transcribed by scribes. Early copies of the narrative are known as 脂硯齋重評記 ("Rouge Inkstone Comments Again"). These versions are known as 脂本, or "Rouge Versions", in Chinese.

Rogue One foregrounds Asian visibility in a) a story about how there are no half measures when it comes to standing up against oppression and b) a franchise which has previously failed to provide any sort of remuneration for its appropriation from Asian cultures. Although the movie is a very recent addition to the Star Wars canon, its position in the franchise’s narrative timeline means we have always been part of that galaxy far, far away. At a time when we cannot afford to ignore issues of race and the civil liberties of the marginalised, this matters a great deal.
This. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. THIS ARTICLE IS EVERYTHING TO ME RIGHT NOW.
Someday (maybe this year? idk) I will actively put a bunch of words down on paper about why I care so damn much about representation in popular culture. There are millions of words already out there, but…I can add a few more.
These are wonderful!
So one of the perks of my job is that occasionally, publishers just send me really cool books for free, like the Star Wars Propaganda Art book, which came with a bunch of awesome mini-posters:
Seeing as I’m not planning to hang all these mini-posters up on my wall, I thought I might share the love a little bit with a follower giveaway! Here’s the deal:
You must be following me to win! This is really a thank you for the people who have stuck with me through blog shifting and fandom jumping, etc. (Though you can certainly still win if you just started following me!)
Likes and reblogs count. Feel free to reblog it as many times as you want.
I’ll randomly select seven winners on 12/19. The first winner will get to pick one of the seven posters above, the second winner from the remaining six, and so on. You can only win once.
You’ll have to be comfortable giving me your name and address, since I gotta ship it to you somehow.
That’s it! If you have any questions or want to see any of the posters up close, my inbox is always open! Good luck, friends <3

Looking for some last-minute recipes to add some historical flair to your Thanksgiving menu? Take a look at the recipes we found in our archives! They all came from the personal papers of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, and were sent to people who wrote to Mrs. Kennedy asking for recipes from her own kitchen.
We have quite a few soup recipes in the archives, including Iced Tomato Soup and Oyster Soup. But we know from President Kennedy’s mother that he was partial to chowder, so we’re showcasing the recipe for New England Fish Chowder. Our records show that fish chowder was served at small parties for family and friends in the White House.

For second courses and side dishes, we found a few tried-and-true White House favorites. Potatoes Suzette was cooked up for President Kennedy’s lunch with the Prime Minister of Canada at the White House, February 20, 1961.

Versions of this Belgian endives dish made appearances on White House menus for everything from small luncheons to the famous dinner for Nobel Prize Winners, April 29, 1962.

Lastly, from the “Desserts” folder from Mrs. Kennedy’s papers: a few alternatives to pumpkin pie, including this recipe for Souffle Froid au Chocolat, which appeared at a small dinner hosted by President and Mrs. Kennedy on October 22, 1962.

The Gateau Saint-Honore cake was a White House favorite, served at luncheons, dinners, and even a state dinner in honor of the President of Peru on November 19, 1961.

The EBU is deeply concerned by the proposal to abolish the licence fee in Romania. The proposal is part of a broader plan to reduce taxes ahead of the upcoming elections. The EBU believes removing stable funding from TVR and Radio Romania would seriously endanger public service media (PSM) in the country and expose it to political pressure. It has written to the Romanian Parliament and Prime Minister to express its concern.

Here at Ooga Booga, we pretty much back everything Brooks Headley does. As former head pastry chef at four-star, Del Posto, and now as the owner of the BEST burger restaurant in the world, Superiority Burger, Headley has graced the world with food best tasted to be believed. For anyone outside of New York City, his constant changing specials are documented in the Specials Graveyard zine and his unique and delicious dessert recipes can be found in Fancy Desserts. Not only can Brooks serve a tasty dish, but he can also deliver a punishing drum beat. Brooks has worked the rhythm section for various hardcore groups, including Born Against, the Universal Order of Armageddon and C.R.A.S.H..
Today, Brooks drums for duo OLDEST with Orthrelm guitarist Mick Barr. The results of their collaboration are worthy listening for any aficionado of heavier sounds.OLDEST conjure blasts of visceral, dissonant thrash that should appeal to anyone looking to get away from the usual Discharge-clones. We’re pretty stoked to be now be carrying their two outposts: a 6-song self-titled LP and a more recent 7-inch entitled “We’re Italians Too!”.
