OOF Okay Guys Hear Me Out, Call Me Crazy Or Flaky Or Anything You'd Like But, I Think I'm Changing My

I get it, we all have our preferences in the types of fiction we consume and the arcs we enjoy watching.

But the hate I'm seeing lately for characters who are genuinely kind, or characters who chose to redeem themselves is ridiculous, and people need to chill about it.

Some of us actually like seeing characters choosing good, compassion, and light. Some of us are actually comforted and reassured when we see fictional characters who had seemingly fallen too deep but still find a way out and discover true peace. Sometimes it's nice seeing characters who remain genuinely good despite going through immense pain and unfairness (they still have the right to feel things and work on their trauma of course, but when they actually manage to not become a villain because of it... I like that, I actually do like seeing that)

There's nothing wrong with stories about hope.

If you prefer to see characters become evil, destroy things, and making others suffer, good for you, and you enjoy that. But let those of us who like goodness in our stories enjoy it, and maybe diss on it a little less?

There are more than enough damnation arcs in real life and sometimes we need a break from that.

I started this because I really love Flash Magnus and was going to redraw an old seapony fanart I had made of him. But then I remembered that his cutie mark was boring and lackluster and then I also wanted to redesign his mane and tail. And then I remembered orin331 did a fantastic redesign of Flash Magnus and I wanted to draw him. It has turned into an experiment of style and trying different things. The result is a slightly modified 2017 film style. Flash Magnus is taller with long legs and has more muzzle. I gave him more impressive and differently styled wings as well.

I had originally sketched/planned this for my 4 Ship Challenge, but ultimately swapped these two for, funnily enough, another Water/Fire ship, Wade and Ember xD But I decided to save it for a special occassion, and what occassion more special than the 15th Zutara Week! (Not to mention the trailer for the live-action remake made me had these two in mind again, so, great timing all around x3)

This is my second ever contribution to a Zutara Week, but hopefully it won't be the last, because I really love these two.

I'm really proud of how this turned out, especially the water ^_^

Since I last drew them as humans, and I've already tried imitating the show's style as closely as possible (see: Color Wheel Challenge), this time I wanted to try and do a personal interpretation of the Bluey artstyle! It was an interesting challenge, for sure. 😅
