Oops, forgot to upload yesterday.
So me and my sister saw Ladybug and Cat Noir: the MOVIE a few weeks ago, and because I have planned uploads up to next Valentine’s Day, this was the first best opening I could squeeze in an Awakening-thing.
So… I’m not a big musical-fan. Well, I like High School Musical but that’s it. Well, musicals feel like they pause the plot for the characters to sing out the plot but I did kind of like this one and Reaching Out was absolutely my favorite song. Lord, I can’t explain how hard “Is it enough to just be me” hit me.
But short movie-review, see how much I remember… I liked it. It wasn’t perfect, the fact it was a musical didn’t land for me. Marinette’s voice, everyone has already complained about it so I will move on.. I liked the characters a little more here. I liked a Marinette without the creepy obsession, I liked a broody lonely Adrien. Gabriel… I feel like he could have needed another design in the end cause I wasn’t really sure what exactly akumatizing himself meant… he just made the water into lava and I was supposed to accept I guess.. would have loved the S5-design but I know I’m alone in liking that design so… where was Nathalie? She was just there, I don’t remember if she knew or if she just was an assistant this time?
Idk, I should have written this while my memories were fresh, 7/10. Might rewatch. Wasn’t sure about the love-story, at least here it moved faster but didn’t feel it had much ground. At least in the show, it’s this apologetic sweet moment in the rain between Marinette and Adrien and it’s Cat seeing how cool and badass Ladybug is but here it’s just the two of them helping the other from the ground. But… they’re also both like 14 so maybe they don't need more.
Late 4/4-celebration
Just wanted to share the WiP on my latest project, a little collage celebrating The Fantastic Four
Hope it doesn't look as awkward once the rest of the work is finished
But the FF has a special place in my heart, I have loved them as long as I have loved comics and so excitied for them to return to the cinemas
Found an article about TDKR and how it uses colours and wanted to draw some Batman
But to be fair, I always want to draw some Batman
So! Last thing I felt I needed to get done before New Year! This Year’s Daredevil-remake!
So, compared with last year’s, I don’t think my art-skills or style has developed that much, maybe changed or refined the vibe somehow. Like how Daredevil’s face looks slimmer and fitter than last year’s, he looks more muscular. Less halloween-costume, more superhero-suit, looking at how Christopher Reeve’s suit sat on him instead of one of my random shirts in the mirror. So I guess the development 2023-2024 was how I could make it more character-fitting and interesting and references.
So, yellow street lights have changed to the red/blue police-lamps, random rooftop has changed to what could be the top of a church, city background has become bigger, trying to showcase how much area this one character has influence and responsibility over but blending in with the noise of the background.
Random lighted windows now have the shape of braille, hinting at his disability and what makes the character stick out, the texts referring to biblical verses and comic quotes if you want to take the time and translate.
The blue sky is now black with a hint of red, connecting more to his color-scheme and I wanted to think more from his perspective of the world. The heartbeats are less of a game-hub and more of just part of the input of the world around him.
Wanted the billy-clubs a little bit more fluid and over-the-top but maybe too much over the top.
So more probably changed than stayed but if I got the basic idea of Daredevil on top of the roof, this would have come up in my head now instead of what I did in 2021.
So… curious on how I will retake this piece 2025.
Another thing I have wanting to do for ages and finally got the time was to redraw this a little bit.
Max’s and Chloe’s pose felt awkward and poorly drawn and didn’t match the vibe of the game I realised so kind tried to just draw them hanging out. Less action-game, more life-game.
Not that this is 10/10, there’s a giant gap in the picture but a step in the right direction
"Max, it's time"

My friend requested an Ant-Man. But I assume he meant Scott… and the MCU-version. But I felt classic Hank and his questionable stability was more in line with my stuff and my own selfish interests.
