Alright! I’ve enough of all the love, and fluff and all that type of shit. It’s time, so some sad feels! *evil laughter* Look, I have cravings sometimes to write some super sad, really in the feels shit. And this is that moment. And, FYI, my drafts are getting more and more things in it because I have so many damn ideas, and such little time to write them. Like I think I came up with five different fanfic ideas in the past 3 hours. Anyway, prepare yourself for the ultimate feels.

Leo had spoken those words to me about a year ago, after the defeat of the Shredder. You had relationships in the past, relationships that for some reason, never turned out good in the end. You got cheated on, they dumped you, or they turned out to be flat out rude and abusive. But that all changed when you met them. 

When you met him. 

Leo. Who wasn’t a human, but a giant, mutant turtle who was a ninja. A damn ninja. He had showed you kindness, despite being a pretty closed off guy when you first met him. He was stern, yet so soft with you. So sweet and compassionate, it was hard not to fall for him. 

You thought it was funny, and pretty sad that you fell in love with a mutant, who showed you more love and care than other humans. 

“Are you sure he’ll come?” 

“I’m sure. They all will.”

Mikey has been crushing on fem!reader and has been wanting to show her that he does care for her. But she constantly brushes it off as simple flirting and nothing serious. It's gotten to the point that even Leo has to tease his little brother that he can't win the girl over. It's only when Mikey has made a whole date for them (again, reader thinks its more of him being nice). He gets fed up and kisses her to prove his point that he wants a serious relationship with her and reassure her that its no game or gimmick. He is Dr. Feelings after all 😉

The Doctor Will See You Now

Mikey was not one to lose his temper.

It was a fact he was proud of. Complete and total control of his emotions and feelings. Being an empath, he learned this skill very early on. He'd never lost his temper... but if he was forced to watch you deny his feelings again, he was going to lose it.

You had convinced yourself that he was just flirting, just playful banter between the two of you.

You punched his shoulder with a laugh, falling back onto the couch cushions. "Nice one, Mike,"

Oh, he was so close to losing it. How could you not see he was serious?

Sure, you'd known him through his flirty teenage years, but he'd grown up since then. He'd watched you date horrible men and women and watch and wait patiently for his turn to tell you how he feels.

But you always shut him down. He positive it isn't him, surely he's done everything right, hadn't he?

"Anyway, I can't come over for dinner and a movie tomorrow, I have plans," You say, laying your feet over his lap.

"Oh, did your professor finally reschedule that test for you?" He gently started to massage your calves. You worked so hard all day long and barely had any time to rest. You were go, go, go all the time.

"No, I have a date,"

Well, if that wasn't just a punch in the face.

"A date?" He was past the point of trying to hide his disappointment.

"Yeah, he's the cute guy I see at that new coffee shop on the corner," You don't meet his eyes, looking at the TV playing some random show.

Mikey simply rolled his eyes. He didn't have it in him to argue with you, not tonight.

The next night, Mikey sat in the kitchen, stirring a bowl of steaming ramen soup. He felt down, looking sadly into the plastic cup.

A bright blue portal opened up and Leo stumbled in, resting his sword on the counter before acknowledging his brother.

"You alright there?"

Mikey sighed, not looking up. "Yeah, just a little bummed, is all,"

"It's about Y/n's date, right?" Leo asked. Mikey nodded, eating a large bite of noodles. "If you would just tell them-"

"There hasn't been a chance!" Mikey interrupted, dropping his chopsticks and turning to his older brother.

"Yes, there has. You're just too scared to see it," Leo pulled out a chair, flipping it around and sitting with his arms over the back.

"I'm not scared, Leo,"

"Then why aren't you stopping her date right now? Why are you here sulking instead of doing something about it?"

He hated it when Leo was right about this kind of thing. Mikey simply sighed, picking up his chopsticks and finishing the soup.

His phone buzzed in his pocket, rolling his eyes he pulled it out to see your name. He gasped softly, quickly opening your chat.

"Who is it?" Leo asked around a bite of pizza. When had he gotten up to get that? No matter.

"It's Y/n," Mikey said, reading your text.

"Coffee shop guy blew me off. Wanna get some food and hang out on the roof?"

"Y/n's date stood her up," Mikey said, not looking away from his phone.

"Then go!" Leo practically yelled. "What are you waiting here for! Go get her!"

Mikey smiled, standing from his chair and sending a reply.

"I have a better idea,"

You stood shell shocked on your roof, looking at the blankets, fairy lights and projector set up in the beautifully lit night sky.

"Mikey-" You start, covering your mouth with your hands.

"What do you think?" He had put on a nice button down shirt and pants, his heart felt like it was going to jump out of his chest.

"You didn't have to do this just to make me feel better, Mikey," You smile at him, taking a step forward.

"I didn't do it because I pity you, y/n," His arms dropped, his shoulders falling.

"Mike-"

"I did it because you deserve it!" Mikey shouted, finally loosing his temper. "You are the most amazing person I've ever met, you're smart and funny and you deserve to be with someone who sees you like that! Not some jerk from a coffee shop!"

You stood still, unmoving, just looking at him, brain trying to process his words. "You don't mean that-" You tried to deflect, push him away, there was no way he liked you like that. Not the way you liked him anyway.

He rushed forward, voice still raised. "Why are you fighting me on this?! I don't understand!" Out of shock, you backed up, your back hitting the roofs door.

"Because I'm not good enough for you-" Tears welled in your eyes as you screamed back, but you were cut off by Mikey grabbing your face and smashing his lips to yours.

You melted in his arms, dropping your purse and wrapping them around his middle, signing as his hands tangled in your hair. His lips were soft and smooth, but his kiss was hard and passionate and told you everything you needed to know.

He pulled away, pressing his forehead against yours, refusing to peel himself away from you.

"Mikey, I-"

"I love you," He whispers, cutting your off, panting heavily in your arms. "I'm so in love with you, I have been for years, and I can't handle not being yours, so please, please for the love of pizza supreme say you at least want me too,"

Tears spilled down your face as you met his eyes. "I love you too, Mikey, I want to be yours," He signed in relief, pulling you back in for another hard kiss.

His hands tightened in your hair. It was going to be a long time before he let you go.
