1. Keep the flexibility in your spine
2. Stretch the muscles in the front
3. Strengthen the muscle in the back
The goal is to give yourself a double or triple chin. Keep your nose pointing forward, don’t let it tip up or down
Thoracic extension- use a chair with a seat back that comes up to the level of your shoulder blades. Try to bend back over the top of the chair without arching away from the seat back and without extending your neck. If the pressure from the top of the chair is uncomfortable you can place a towel there
If this isn’t enough of a stretch you can do one side at a time. If you have the right arm up step forward with the right foot and turn slightly to the left. Then do it on the other side.
There are lots more exercises for strengthening your back muscles but this is a good starting point and easy to do. I like doing it while driving
Tips:
Do the best you can
If it hurts stop
Envision future you saying thank you each time you do one of the exercises
Do you ever think of silly stuff like what if G1 Megatron was suddenly replaced by Prime Megatron?
Just starting with the size difference, for example. G1 Megs is 6m/19'8", Prime Megs is 10.5m/34'5". And he's not boxy!
Yes, yes I do. G1 level of Megatron antics in TFP would be just. Downright lovely, like here take this short man who has the wildest of schemes.
Oh things won't go well on the g1 with TFP Meggsie, he would be a damn force on the battlefield if he chooses to be. Or, conversely, he straight up just adopts the g1 decepticons because I say so and actually runs this army well (... Well comparatively well.) and chooses not to fight the g1 autobots because they seem to practically spawn in and it would be a slaughter.
They're so little🥰
the fact that "eco" and "ethical" are two separate concerns in the global north, and that "eco" is a much more popular concern, with many "eco" products being made in actual sweatshops, is a big part of why i am The Joker
Hi! I’m really sick of whitewashing and the various excuses that artists come up with, so I wrote a guide! How To Not Whitewash, at least with regards to skin tone. Please make use of it, and encourage other artists to do so as well. Here’s a link to this guide on a Google Doc - this document has image descriptions. Feel free to contact me if the link stops working, or if you have questions (in good faith).
I can't lie, I find it very odd that posts cautioning people against donating to individual* campaigns and promoting the idea of supporting mutual aid efforts and community kitchens in Gaza can rack up 10k+ notes--while a post promoting a community kitchen (that I can personally vouch for) struggles to get 1k notes, and has barely pulled in a couple hundred dollars over the past week.
I actively try to avoid using guilting tactics in fundraising, but this is weird to me. It's like people are using these posts as an excuse not to do things they already didn't want to do anyway, rather than actually taking their recommendations on board...
*In my experience, these campaigns often support large extended families + their neighbours
MAQMAP is a community kitchen aiming to support families in the Mawasi Al-Qarara area.

honestly seeing godzilla minus one just made me even more jaded to the monsterverse fans who act like it doesn't matter if the movies are badly written because "it's just a godzilla movie" as if there isn't physical proof in both minus one and also shin godzilla that godzilla films can be more than that.
but EVEN THEN i'm not even fucking asking that the monsterverse fundamentally change to become poignant pieces about ptsd and survivor's guilt and government inaction, i'm fine with them remaining fun little action movies primarily about big monsters punching each other, literally all i'm asking is that the human plots do something other than (a) put me to sleep or (b) barely hold themselves together long enough to get to the next scene.
pacific rim is a film first and foremost about big robots punching big monsters, but it also has a genuinely well written human storyline with fleshed out characters. it doesn't have a half-baked plot built only to loosely connect the monster battles, it has an actual story.
like you guys "fun action movie about big monster battles" and "decent script" are not mutually exclusive and it's an insult to the kaiju genre to act like they are. and you should also take it as an insult to the fans that studios think they can ship out rushed scripts because audiences will give them money for it anyway. like, besties, i like the monsterverse. i just also acknowledge that the movies are lowkey shit and want them to be better and hope they will be in the future.
some of you need to go outside and I dont mean that in a mean or condescending way I mean it in a "you would benefit from talking to real people face to face, and developing social skills" type way
I really love the unrequited kismesis relationships Megatron has with Optimus in the G1 cartoon.
Megatron thought of himself as Optimus’s greatest arch-foe, while Optimus Prime only thought of him as “the current Decepticon leader”.
If Megatron ever found out that Optimus didn’t care about him as a person but only as a threat and symptom of the actual problem*:the Decepticon cause, I think he’d be crushed.
Megatron:“How can this be, I betrayed you and killed your coworkers back when you were a dockworker!”
Optimus:“You’ve killed alot of people. After a while its hard to take it personally. and unlike you I go to therapy”
*remember that in the cartoon they were on the Third Great War between Autobots and Decepticons. Megatron was not their founder in the original cartoon.
tutorial for drawing characters with Down syndrome!
DISCLAIMER... please keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People. it's more of an overview of features that are common in people with Down syndrome, not meaning to imply that every person with DS has all of them 👍👍 thanks
if you draw any characters using this feel free to tag me!!
