okay i've seen a lot of "eddie is the only one who doesn't treat steve like an idiot" discourse recently so allow me to take that and RAISE YOU

steve trying to quote that passage from sherlock holmes and instead of looking at him like he has three heads for getting it wrong eddie is just like "oh do you mean [corrected quote]? I didn't know you were a fan of sir conan doyle!"

steve: um i haven't actually read anything by him i just heard that quote from... someone and i thought it sounded cool. guess i screwed it up though huh

eddie: oh. dude. you gotta read sherlock holmes. you'll love it! *goes off on a rambly tangent that actually gets steve excited to read something for once in his life*

of course steve has to deal with the fact that he was never the strongest reader, and that was BEFORE all the head trauma, but he figures eddie doesn't need to know that just yet

heres my advice to any followers i have who are young. Don't delete things when you think you've outgrown them or they're cringy. If you make youtube videos just private them don't delete them. Save your files, you can bury them in multiple sub-folders if you think they're cringe now but DON'T DELETE THEM! It doesn't feel like it now but years in the future you will look back fondly at who you were and wish you still had those things.

Eddie: Come on, I'm one of the most responsible people you know.

Steve: I agree. Usually, when something happens, you're the one responsible.

The fact that I can read about Dean and Cas falling in love in 100,000+ different ways is so fucking cool

so, i’ve been a little nervous about writing the romance parts of my current fic. i’ve never written a kissing scene before and i want to make it good - it's a slow burn so the payoff's gotta be good. the only thing i can think of is to do a lot of reading…

all jokes aside, if you have any tips for writing romantic or intimate scenes…help a guy out?

Modern AU where Corroded Coffin does get famous - just not in a way they were expecting.

They try through high school, play some local spots, post their songs online, but they don't really get a lot of traffic. And they think, maybe this isn't going to work.

Until one day, when they post a cover of a pop song, a la Punk Goes Pop, and it does well. Really well.

So they start doing more covers.

Is there a part of their steadily growing fan base that loves their originals and racks up the play counts on the one album they've put out? Of course.

And they never stop sharing their original stuff, but it never gets the kind of engagement that the covers do - and they kind of resign themselves to the fact that, this is what they do now, might as well have fun with it.

Steve Harrington is a popstar who's been on the scene for a little while now, and he loves CC's covers. He never really cared for metal before - overstimulation and audio processing are a wicked duo - but because he knows these songs, he's able to actually appreciate the music, the way the band morphs them into their own style.

He keeps finding himself wishing that they would cover one of his songs.

And then he learns about their original stuff. He listens to the one album on repeat and loves it, loves the lyrics and the composition of the music, and decides that he's going to do the cover for once.

(He's definitely not trying to catch the attention of the hot as fuck lead guitarist, no siree! This is just a nice, normal cover.)

Cue Eddie Munson having a heart attack when his notifications are flooded with links to Steve Harrington - popstar dreamboat and Eddie's absolute guilty pleasure, the man whose music he only listens to at the dead of night when he's guaranteed to never be caught - covering one of Eddie's songs.

In order to shield themselves from the town’s homophobia, they promised that they’ll help each other find love; and that they won’t date until the other one does. Now, four years later, Robin finds out about their deal and in an attempt to shoot her shot with Chrissy, convinces Steve to take Eddie out on a date. The problem is Steve thinks he’s straight and Eddie hates him.

A fair reminder that Steve had laughed harder with Robin than he had laughed in a really long time which means after his "post break up sad era", though unknowingly, Robin was the one to help him through it, which also means that the moments he spent with her are a few of his favorite moments that he cherishes. Obsessed with the sudden shift in Cas' willingness to say insane romantic shit to dean in season 8. A couple of seasons ago, he would tell dean that they had a profound bond to his face. That everything he did, he did for Dean. Now? He's hesitating. He clenches his fists to avoid hugging Dean back in purgatory. He stutters and looks away before saying he stayed away from Dean to protect him. When asked what broke through heaven's brainwashing, he looks away and says he doesn't know. It's so interesting to me
