i've been sitting on this thought about the hatchetfield timelines for a while: i 100% agree with the 2005 timeline-split theory; it's all but outright stated in witch in the web and explains ted-as-homeless-man's presence in every timeline, since he went back to 2004.
but! there's a detail i haven't seen discussed, which also comes up in witch in the web:
at some point around the time the timelines split, miss holloway and wilbur cross got into a fight that only one of them survived, the outcome of which depends on the individual timeline. that means we can sort some of the timelines by which of them is alive:
black friday: wilbur cross. self-explanatory.
the witch in the web: miss holloway. the two of them do interact, but only inside nightmare time after hannah's power brings him back
all of nmt2: miss holloway. also self-explanatory.
nerdy prudes must die: wilbur cross. this is where it gets more into speculation since neither of them appears directly, but i think we can infer it from solomon lauter's possession of the black book, which holloway would have had if she were alive.
the rest i'm not sure there's enough solid evidence for to say either way (although i like to believe watcher world is a wiley timeline because of the voice at the sniggles show), but there's plenty of room to speculate! much to think about š¤

Making twitch clips of Rusty Quill's TMA2 stream on the 30th and realized I have the power to do edits now.
Video description/captions under the readmore
[ID: a clip from Rusty_Quill's "The Magnus Archives 2 Kickstarter Pre-Launch!" Twitch Livestream. On screen are Alexander J Newall, Helen Gould, and Jonny Sims.
Jonny: Incidentally- incidentally- I- there's- there's another thing that I'm gonna spoil.
The video zooms in on Alex's window and replays Jonny saying "that I'm gonna spoil" in slow motion. Alex's face drops as soon as Jonny says "spoil" and an eerie synth noise starts.
A screenshot of the twitch chat is overlaid:
SashaNoumann: Alex looks terrified
tirednwild: KSUDHGKUSG
interstieller: ALEX'S FACE
Text boxes appear one after the other on screen, getting progressively shakier:
"oh god, oh fuck."
"what's he going to say now?"
"Jonny, it doesn't have to be like this"
"should I get Martyn to cut stream?"
"or would the snipers be faster?"
The synth noise cuts off as the video reverts itself back to showing Alex, Helen, and Jonny again as the stream continues.
Helen: Oh?
Jonny: and it's that Alex- Alex is stopping me... From naming one of the protagonists "Alexander J Newall."
Helen: [laughing]
Alex: Why should I pay for YOUR mistakes, Jonny??
Alex: It would-it would- it would do SO much damage SO quickly... Oh god, Jonny. Don't you dare.
Jonny: Now, to be fair, we're- we are co- we are co-writing it. You are... Perfectly able - and have, on several occasions - simply delete it.
Helen: [laughing]
Alex, jokingly: Hah. "Hi, everyone. Yeah, The Magnus Archives 2 isn't happening." "Why." "'Cause Jonny doesn't know when to quit."
Helen: [laughing]

Signs of Hell from Good Omens season 2

cute gifting ideas!
for the extra-sweet girls, gays, and theys this holiday season
i've been seeing lots of cute wishlist idea posts floating around, but none for what to give this season! so here is a collection of ideas for gifts for your favorite people š©°ā
crochet/knit goods!! homemade gifts are just a different kind of special. i really love to find an interesting stitch and make a scarf with it, i'm not great at following patterns but cool stitches are super fun and easy to learn and really level up your otherwise simple projects!!
mini body mist + hand cream set āø minis are an essential for any busy bee, they're affordable, and they're a great way for your recipient to try a new fragrance! bath and body works always has excellent choices (i recommend frosted coconut snowball or strawberry snowflakes); or you could pick out a mini luxury eau de parfum if you have a bigger budget.
baked goods ā what's better than receiving a box of homemade treats? i love gifting baked goods because there is something out there for everyone. sally's baking addiction (blog) and claire saffitz (youtube) are some of my favorite resources for recipes. if you're on a time crunch, chocolate bark is a no-bake that's SUPER easy and everyone loves.
self care kit š i love making these for my busiest friends and family!! i typically include a face mask of some kind, hot cocoa or tea, a mug, and a nice pair of fluffy socks. other ideas include a bath bomb, lip balm/mask, sugar scrub, and chocolates! care kits are so fun to make because they are easy to customize and adjust to your budget!
a special book ā pick a book that is close to your heart and that you think your recipient would enjoy, and write a special note inside. maybe even annotate or mark special passages that really spoke to you or remind you of them. :3 i think this is a deeply personal gift that someone can treasure for years and years.
have fun gifting!!
ARMPITS
šø Long armpit hair traps sweat and the smell can be quite noticeable. Wax or nair off the hair (instead of shaving, which causes dark discolouration), or if you don't want to have completely hairless armpits, trim the hair down short with a small pair of scissors.
šø Know the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant. Deodorant: stops the smell. Antiperspirant: stops the sweat. Some products may do one but not the other, although most do both.
šø Use a men's deodorant instead of women's deodorant. The antiperspirant is much stronger than in women's deodorant. Old Spice makes nice ones that don't smell particularly masculine despite the brand being associated with men. Old Spice Deep Sea smells like sea salt, Old Spice Fiji smells like coconuts, Old Spice Oasis is sweet and slightly vanilla scented, Old Spice Wolfthorn is sweet citrus, and Old Spice Timber smells like sandalwood.
šø Apply deodorant after you shower instead of waiting a while.
šø Apply antiperspirant at night instead of morning so that it has all night to get absorbed
šø Vanilla extract can be used as a natural deodorant. Because it's alcohol based, it kills bacteria and the vanilla scent stays all day.
šø Use deodorant as a preventative measure, not a fix for an already-stinky armpit or a replacement for washing.
šø Use salicylic acid toner on the armpits. This lowers the pH of your armpits to be inhospitable to odour-causing bacteria
šø Hand sanitiser can be used in a pinch (not regularly though as it's bad if you use it too often)
šø Washing your armpits with Head & Shoulders shampoo and letting it sit for a bit before rinsing off is really good for getting rid of bad odour due to the zinc in it
šø Exfoliate your underarms in the shower to slough off dead skin and deodorant build-up that could be making any products you use under your arms less effective. You can use the same exfoliator you use on your face or body on your armpits.
šø To dry your armpits completely, use a hairdryer, apply deodorant, then dry them again. It will make such a difference, as it gets your armpits completely dry, whereas as towel drying alone can often leave some moisture, which is more likely to make you smell.
šø If you suffer from excessive underarm sweating, go see your doctor. They can prescribe you an industrial strength antiperspirant which may solve your issue.
CLOTHES
šø Don't leave your clothes in the washing machine for too long after they've finished washing, this makes them develop a bad smell. Put them to dry as soon as possible after washing.
šø If possible, use the tumble dryer instead of leaving your clothes to air-dry in winter. If clothes are left for hours and hours and not really drying because it's too cold, they develop a bad mildewy smell.
šø Dry your clothes outside in the sun whenever possible
šø Use scented dryer sheets (but make sure the scent isn't one that clashes with your perfume).
šø An old-fashioned tip is to keep cut up soap and lavender in the same drawer as your clothes. You can just stick a scented soap or sachets with potpourri in the closet with your clothes to make them smell nice.
šø In hardware stores, you can buy cedar blocks to put in your closet, which as well as making your clothes smell nice, also keep spiders, moths, and centipedes away
šø Add a capful of white vinegar to the washing machine when you're washing your clothes (no, this won't make your clothes smell like vinegar. It kills unwanted scents and helps remove stains).
šø Add a few drops of essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, tea tree, or eucalyptus to your laundry detergent (you can add some to your dryer sheets as well). Make sure they're clear, light, essential oils, and not dark resiny ones, as that will stain your clothes. You can put a few drops of essential oils on the bottom of your drawer, right on the wooden part too.
šø You can buy special laundry perfumes to put in the fabric softener department. The scent lasts for ages
šø Avoid harsh or heavy scented laundry detergent and washing powders. Stick to neutral, light-scented ones
šø Wear breathable fabrics like cotton, hemp, linen, and silk. This will make more air circulate around your body. Avoid nylon and polyester.
šø Wash your bathrobe once a week
šø Spray Febreeze or perfume on the clothes in your closet once a week
šø Wash any clothes you haven't worn in a while, even if you're not planning on wearing them soon, to prevent a stale smell. It will make your whole wardrobe smell much better
FEET
šø Wear clean cotton socks. Don't reuse worn socks days in a row
šø Always wear socks. Not wearing them makes it much more likely for your feet to start smelling bad
šø Don't wear the same pair of shoes every day, as this can make odour-causing bacteria grow because they don't get a chance to dry out.
šø If you're staying somewhere overnight, remember to bring a 2nd pair of shoes to change into instead of wearing the same pair twice in a row
šø Put baby powder on your feet before putting socks on
šø Always dry your feet thoroughly after washing, including between each toe. This prevents the development of foot fungus
šø Use foot spray or shoe spray
šø Scent rises, so spray a little perfume in your shoes or on your ankles
šø Pat some glycolic acid on the soles of your feet with a cotton pad each morning
HAIR
šø Spray some perfume on your hairbrush before brushing. Grace Kelly swore by this
šø Apply dry shampoo the night before instead of the morning of so that your hair has time to absorb it
šø Hair absorbs scent a lot, so wash it regularly
šø Add a tiny drop of perfume oil into a few drops of hair oil and apply to your hair
šø It's obvious, but using a shampoo and conditioner that smells good will make your hair smell good
šø Consider using a hairspray or hair mist
HOME
šø Change pillowcases and bedding regularly. Oils, sweat and dead skin cells will accumulate if you go too long using the same sheets.
šø Open the windows regularly and leave your bed to air before making it once a week. No airflow means your environment will be more warm and sweaty, making it more likely to develop bacteria that makes you smell bad
šø Light a scented candle or incense regularly so that your home always smells lovely
šø Have multiple towels so you can use a new one each time you shower. Once a towel is wet, germs start growing, which can make you smell. Clean your towels regularly
šø Above all, make sure your house is clean. It doesn't matter how many of these tips you follow, if your home smells bad, you'll smell like it. Plus if you bring someone home and your house smells, no matter how good you personally smell, that's the impression they'll have of you. Clean regularly.
MOUTH
šø Floss after eating. Food particles trapped in between the teeth can make your breath smell bad. Even if you don't notice it, others will.
šø Use mouthwash after eating or drinking. Avoid mouthwashes with alcohol, as they can dry out your mouth, and your mouth should be moist if you want to reduce bad breath.
šø Brush your tongue or use a tongue scraper. This gets rid of bacteria that can build up and make your breath smell bad.
šø Keep a pack of mints or gum in your bag for after you eat or drink out (avoid chewing gum if you grind your teeth or clench your jaw though - it's not good for overworked muscles that need to relax).
šø Brush your teeth morning and night. Make sure to brush the hard to reach places, like the back molars. And brush for at least two minutes.
šø Bad smelling bacteria builds up in your mouth if it's dry and saliva isn't being produced, so drink water consistently throughout the day and eat every few hours, even if it's just a small snack
šø Take probiotics for mouth health to replace bad smelly bacteria with good bacteria
šø It's not too important, but if you're talking at close range with someone, you'll be able to smell if they have a scented lip product on, so if you want, put on a scented lipgloss, lipstick, or lip balm. My personal favourites are Glossier Birthday Cake lip balm and Fresh Rose Lip Treatment.
šø Chew a sprig of rosemary or mint after eating, it makes your breath smell clean and herbaceous.
šø An underrated tip is to gargle with hot salt water to kill bacteria. This is good when you're somewhere without access to mouthwash.
šø If you take good care of your mouth hygiene but bad breath persists, you may have tonsil stones. You can extract them by rubbing a Qtip on your tonsil.
SIGNATURE SCENT
šø Learn your body chemistry. Get a variety of sample perfumes and see what they smell like after 30 minutes, 2 hours, a day. Scent profiles develop and change over time, and a perfume that smells good at first might not after a few hours. See what smells good consistently.
šø Apply Vaseline or a light unscented lotion to the area where you'll be spraying the perfume to make it last longer
šø Buy a rollerball of your favourite perfume so you can reapply when you're out and about if the scent of your perfume fades
šø If possible, spend money on a high end Eau de Parfum. 1 or 2 sprays will suffice, and the scent lasts all day. Sprays from Bath and Body and Victoria's Secret smell nice and all, but fade quickly.
šø Keep in mind that some perfumes may only be suitable for certain seasons. A light citrusy scent may be fine in summer, but confusing in winter
šø Scent rises, so rub scented lotion on your legs. If you want you can spray some scent inside your shoes or on your ankles.
šø Hot skin areas close to your veins like behind the knees, behind the ears, the back of the neck, and on the wrists are good areas to apply perfume. Currently, it's popular in the perfume community to spray on the stomach and forearms too.
šø If you're sensitive to perfumes, a perfume oil could be a good substitute (in former Ottoman countries, perfume oil is more popular than spray perfume).
šø Less is more with perfume. Never overspray. It's better for the scent to subtly creep up on people than to overwhelm them. Perfume should be intimate, a beautiful association people make with being close to you (isn't it a lovely idea that nobody will know that your hair smells like rose hair mist until your lover buries their face in it, or that your neck smells like Hypnotic Poison until your lover leans in to kiss it?)
šø Be aware that people may have sensitivities or allergies to perfume if you're going to be in an enclosed space, for example on an airplane, a cinema, or an office cubicle. It's okay just to smell clean rather than of perfume (Kate Middleton and Megan Markle don't wear any perfume at official state events for that reason).
šø Don't be afraid to ask other people about their opinions on your perfume. Of course, it's important that you like your perfume, but everyone else around you will have to smell it too. Some perfumes have associations that you may not necessarily want to portray. For example, Victoria's Secret perfumes are often associated with teenagers, and Chanel No.5 is often associated with grandmas. If you love them, you do you, but just keep this in mind if you're wary of creating certain associations with yourself.
šø Choose moisturising and hygiene products that go well with your signature scent. For example, vanilla or cocoa butter moisturiser with a perfume in the gourmand family of fragrances.
šø In the same vein as above, you can also choose moisturisers that add dimension to your signature scent, like making a floral perfume smell more summery by using a coconut moisturiser, or making a vanilla scent smell more Christmassy by using a peppermint body wash and lotion.
šø Don't mix scents that don't go well together. It will smell confusing if you use a warm vanilla sugar lotion with a musky perfume.
šø Don't overload on too many strongly scented products, it's overwhelming. If your perfume is very strong, use a lightly scented or unscented lotion.
šø It's okay to have more than one signature scent. The perfume you wear at the office doesn't have to be the same perfume you wear at parties, which doesn't have to be the perfume you wear relaxing at home.
šø It's also okay to have no signature scent, and just pick a perfume that fits your mood on a given day
šø Try and find a perfume that matches your lifestyle. If you're a minimalist, pick a fresh, light scent, such as Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. If you love to bake and adore the smell of vanilla, sugar and buttercream, try a gourmand perfume, like Dior's Hypnotic Poison or Ariana Grande's Cloud. If you live an outdoorsy lifestyle, try a woody scent like Santal 33 by Le Labo. Your scent should match your vibe, if you're not naturally a party girl or a chic lady, don't try to fake it with perfume, it will just be confusing.
šø Don't pick a perfume you don't personally like just because someone else recommends it, like wearing a scent you find grandma-like just because someone said it will make you smell Old Money. You're the one who has to smell it all day
šø Spray a little perfume on your hair and wrists before going to sleep to feel soft, pretty, and luxurious, like a Princess or an Old Hollywood star
šø A tip from exotic dancers is to spray perfume right after showering, moisturise, then spray the perfume again to really lock in the scent
šø Read books like The Secret of Scent by Luca Turin, Fragrance and Wellbeing by Jennifer Peace Rhind, and Scent and Subversion by Barbara Herman to understand the science of scent and what smells great from the point of view of a perfume expert.
šø If you want free samples, try e-mailing a perfume house saying you've seen a promo of their perfume and would be interested in a complimentary sample (send your address too). Usually they read lots of complaints, so they'll be glad if they can make someone happy (this may not always work with every perfume house though). You can also go to a quiet counter at a boutique and ask for samples of a perfume you want, even tell them that you're young and can't afford much and they'll give away lots.
šø Science has shown that women are much more sensitive to musk scents than men, so lesbian/bi ladies may want to consider trying a musk scent while on a date. And as for men, they prefer lily of the valley, as well as gourmand scents like vanilla, cinnamon, and oddly, pumpkin and lavender together. [Source]
YONI
šø Take probiotics
šø Wear cotton underwear. Avoid tight underwear and underwear with dye if possible.
šø Sleep without underwear. Letting your yoni breathe is great for achieving an attractive smell
šø Don't clean your yoni with regular soap. It can throw off your pH, which can cause yeast infections and a bad smell. It's generally okay to use soaps specifically formulated for your vulva, or gentle soaps like Johnson's baby soap or Dove sensitive.
šø Drink natural 100% pineapple juice and cranberry juice, or buy pills with those respective ingredients in the health store. Even if you don't want to drink it all the time, drinking cranberry/pineapple juice an hour before intimacy will make you taste sweeter.
šø Instead of using scented feminine hygiene products (which are bad for you), change your pad or tampon regularly. Switch to menstrual cups if possible, as there will be no smell at all (whereas the pads and tampons themselves will start smelling bad if left for too long).
šø Rub some roll-on deodorant in the crevice where your inner thigh meets your vulva. It develops its own B.O smell (like a leg pit). Deodorant improves the smell immensely.
šø Make sure your partner has clean hands/a clean mouth before touching you sensually. Also, use a condom if possible, as ejaculate inside of you can mess up your pH balance
šø Use Dripsticks for post-sex clean-up
šø Boric acid suppositories after your period help rebalance microbial flora
šø Use a little water to rinse after you pee. You can buy a peri bottle for postpartum to make it easier
šø Make sure to only wash your vulva, not inside the vagina. The inside is a self-cleaning oven, and douching or even just inserting a finger with soap is bad for it. Avoid the inner, pink parts of the labia too.
šø Make sure there's no discharge build-up in your pubic hair
šø Clean well in-between the folds and under the clitoral hood so that sebum doesn't get trapped
šø Make sure not to scrub too hard, as it can make soap get somewhere it shouldn't or irritate a sensitive area
šø Use a hairdryer to dry after showering if you don't have the time to towel off till you're completely dry. It will stop you from feeling swampy and sweaty down there.
UNCATEGORISED
šø Keep feminine hygiene wipes, hand sanitiser, mini deodorant, mini dry shampoo, mini mouthwash, rollerball of perfume, scented hand cream, etc in your bag to freshen up during the day
šø It's obvious, but shower at least once a day. If you're having unusually hot weather or live in a warm climate, take a couple of quick showers throughout the day.
šø Use a very strong soap on your yoni, armpits, and feet, and scrub your armpits/feet very well as they retain scents.
šø If you sweat a lot during the night, take a light shower in the morning to get rid of the smell of stale sweat
šø Before your regular shower gel, use an antibacterial soap. It will kill bacteria that can make you smell bad.
šø Useful websites: Fragrantica, R/Perfumes, R/Fragrance, Parfumo, R/FemFragLab
šø Take parsley pills. It's like an internal deodorant. And fenugreek pills make you smell sweet like maple syrup
šø As well as on your armpits, put deodorant under your breasts as well, and anywhere else you may sweat a lot from (if you're spraying in the crease between your thighs and abdomen, make sure you have underwear on).
šø If you tend to sweat under your breasts a lot, you can buy cotton breast liners that absorb sweat on Amazon
šø If you're doing all that you can to prevent body odour but it persists, talk to your GP or dermatologist. You may need an antiperspirant stronger than what you can buy in shops, a PanOxyl wash, or even botox injections in your armpits
šø A tip from Marie Antoinette is to wear perfumed gloves
šø Don't eat too much onions, garlic, eggs, dairy, alcohol, processed foods, red meat, fast food, or vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli. The smell will seep through your skin (a little is fine, of course). And eat plenty of leafy greens.
šø Eat more fruit ššššš
šø Drink mint tea in the morning
šø An obvious tip, but hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drinking more water will help you sweat less. Plus fragrance doesn't last as long on dry skin
šø Avoid drinking too much alcohol or smoking cigarettes
šø Take chlorophyll supplements
šø If you tend to suffer from a sweaty face, wear a waterproof mascara and keep a setting powder on you
šø Most important tip of all: Stay hygienic! You need a good base for any of these tips to work. Spraying perfume and applying scented lotion on an unclean body is like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.
šø And of course you don't have to use all of these tips (if anything, you'll probably end up creating a toxic fume cloud instead of a beautiful scent). Just find a few that work for you and incorporate into your routine.
You've been trying to build a routine or have been trying to get back on track but just don't know where to start? lets me help you out <3
first up are a few things that you should do daily! <3
Brushing your teeth, flossing, and mouthwash twice a day.
Showering either in the morning or in the evening.
shaving and lotion if you feel like it (my fav)
skincare twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed.
Perfect! now at first, this may seem a bit overwhelming, especially if you struggle with depression, but sticking to this will already do a lot-
Simple skincare:
my last point was skincare, so I'll give you a little run-through on a simple and affordable routine; obviously, I can't promise that this will work for you, but we gotta start somewhere, right? :)
morning:
Dove beauty cream bar works really well for me (costs like 1 ā¬).
Neutrogena hydro boost aqua cream as moisturizer (10 ā¬).
Any SPF that works for you, I use the la Roche-posay one (15 ā¬).
night:
Dove beauty cream bar.
The ordinary glycolic acid as a toner (10 ā¬).
The ordinary Niacinemid + Zinc (7 ā¬).
and the Neutrogena moisturizer again.
This should be a good start! :)
mental health plays a massive role in self-care, so I have listed a few things that might help you feel a little bit better; building actual habits takes time, though, so don't stress about it too much, and just try sticking to a few! :)
Eat breakfast.
Take vitamins in the morning (Vitamin D, Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Folate/Folic acid, and Vitamin B-12, to list a few)
go for a daily walk.
Do a youtube yoga or stretch video.
Listen to a positive playlist or podcast.
No technology for 30 minutes.
Read 10 pages of any book.
Study something you're interested in for 15 minutes.
Write down 3 positive affirmations.
Make a to-do list.
Try a new recipe each week.
Make a grocery list.
take your time and try being consistent; eventually, you will get to where you want to be; you can do it! <3

LETS FEEL BETTER!
health is wealth, truly. itās always a great idea to start taking your health serious in your early 20s and getting active for a better future and overall health.
I. Why should you care?
your health is by far the most important aspect in this life. when your body is healthy, it corresponds with your mental health as well. i always say, what you put in- comes out! eating well, staying active, getting rest can make drastic differences in how you feel mentally!
Disclaimer: these are steps I take/do and have learned from my parents. take what you need, or donāt. iām not a doctor, nurse, or anything. iām just a girl! cool? okay great, letās begin.
II. Daily Diet.
take the term ādietā lightly. iām not discussing legitimate diets or super restrictive elements- i donāt believe in that (unless a doctor tell you to do so, i donāt find it necessary)
you really do not need to restrict yourself insanely. you want that cake? 2 slices? 3? go for it. you want chick fil a? get an extra sauce too. BUT moderation is key! i have a sweet tooth, and i loooove chick fil a lmao, and i absolutely will indulge in it, but i ensure the rest of my diet makes sense!
So what do you NEED: listing a few, this is basic knowledge you can find on google though!
protein: youāll get this from chicken, fish, eggs, greek yogurts, etc. let me say this NOW and EARLY: STOP EATING PORK.
fiber: greens, berries, pears, broccoli, avocados, +
healthy fats: dark chocolate, cheese, olive oil, avocados +
lots of fruits & vegetables.
you know the basics
What my every day food looks like (it does vary sometimes though:
breakfast: oatmeal with fresh fruit and honey (not the packets) or avocado toast with some eggs, a breakfast smoothie or a green juice! (I LIVE FOR A GREEN JUICE)
my green juice recipe: kale, celery, spinach, green apples, cucumbers, coconut water. i cannot stress enough how beneficial it is to drink a green juice
lots of water of course
lunch: usually chicken something, and some sort of vegetable ( i really like sautĆ©ed squash and zucchini) or even some variation of italian pasta or japanese Udon. depends on what iām craving really. sometimes iāll even get a nice salad mix and make something filling.
snacks: anythingā¦literally LMAO.
dinner: iāve been on a salmon kick lately so iāll make anything around that or depends on what my parents cook which is usually some form of protein & veggie.
i drink tea EVERY-NIGHT. (chamomile, sometimes eucalyptus mint, or elderberry tea) all of these have great health benefits and calming effects. if during the day sometimes ill drink an iced green tea (studies believe it prevents cancer)
you think i donāt midnight snack? wrong! thatās my favorite thing to do actually. as of right now, those biscoff ice cream bars are INSANELY good.
check your gut health.
aloe shots are amazing, or just buying pure aloe juice and drinking a small amount.
Kombucha (particularly Health-aid brand) my favorite flavor is Pink Lady Apple! (probiotic)
also greek yogurt (the probiotics help)
IV. Other:
Those bath & body works candles and wall plug ins? trash them. the chemicals are extremely harmful to pets and even your lung health. opt for SOY candles.
using soy sauce for something? a good alternative is coconut aminos.
dairy? oat milk, please.
like i said before, STOP eating pork. today.
take your daily vitamins (this varies person to person- i will not suggest any. talk to your doctor for details if needed!)
drink LOTS of water.
turmeric/ginger shot drinks are the devil but they are great for immunity boosts!
V. Feel Good Hormones
get moving. get those endorphins pumping. get into pilates or yoga, if you donāt want to pay for a studio there a free and wonderful non-equipment based videos on youtube, hit the gym, get on the stair climber, whatever, GET MOVING. steam rooms are amazing if you want to feel refreshed after a workout.
when you stay active you prevent your body from feeling sluggish, plus, getting your heart rate up is extremely important.
VI. REST!
do not underestimate the power of a good nights rest. you are actually doing major harm to your brainās health by being sleep deprived.
homework? plan it for earlier in the day to avoid all nighters.
trouble falling asleep? set the atmosphere.
do some bed-time yoga. this loosens up the muscles, centers your breathing, and decompresses you.
take a hot shower or bubble bath to relax your body
reduce technology stimulation- turn the tv off, dim your phones brightness, put it on DND about 1hr to 30 minutes before you want to sleep.
make tea- chamomile/lavender is my favorite.
meditate
read a book ( i promise within the first 20 minutes of reading youāll start getting sleepy.)
get a mattress topper to make your mattress even more cloud like and comfortable.
look into getting a weighted blanket.

ā” channel your inner elle woods and dive into your studies with a āwhat, like itās hard?ā mindset
studying will only be hard if you assume it to be. uplift yourself before starting your study session. go on a rampage on how youāre the best student at your school and that youāre successful at everything you do! the only person that will be with you from the beginning till the end is you. be your own cheerleader despite it all.
life is better when you romanticize it and nothing beats playing some music to level your head, looking at photos & scenes of your favorite characters studying and acing their tests!Ā
clean your desk, light some candles, buy cute stationary, pretend youāre being filmed, visualize how it would feel when you have straight Aās and see that perfect score on the corner of your test/exams.
make a playlist with a cute cover and choose a vibe. dark or light academia? classics? rnb? cafe jazz? make it fun. mix it all together or make multiple playlists for the different moods youāll be in. donāt listen to lyrical music. i recommend brown noise! and going to a cafe or a library helps me focus a lot. the background chatter doesnāt ever get too much for me so it gets easy for me to tune it out.

i love to study at libraries and local cafes. i also use this time to go on adventures to explore my city and find hidden gems. make sure itās a place where you like the vibe, there are no distractions. something about looking like that mysterious, studious girl who stays to herself >>>>
before you indulge in your studies, be aware of your surroundings. get familiar with the place by grazing your eyes over the area and begin :)
make a checklist of all the items you need. laptop, charger, pens, notebooks, textbooks, a book to read if you want to spend more time at the place youāre at, headphones, calculator, etc!
if youād rather stay inside, make your area is clean of clutter and clear of distractions.
now that youāve set out a place, letās talk about time. what hours in the day work for you? morning, afternoons or at night? what weekdays work the best for you to keep up with this schedule?
be reasonable with yourself here. pick a time where your schedule is free and you wonāt be distracted by obligations. tell your friends and family youāll be busy during those hours on selected weekdays, not everyday will be the same. life can be hectic so this is where you take responsibility. work around your appointments. make use of your time and run flash cards while you wait to get called in or youāre in line, while you exercise, get creative!Ā
setting time away to eat and make sure you drink enough water is not equally but more important than any other thing. take care of yourself.Ā
utilize your time wisely. no one and nothing is going to achieve those goals. you are.Ā
now, letās actually get into how i study.Ā
create a system that works for you. keep a list of all of your assignments, finals, exams, tests, projects in an excel spreadsheet organized and ascended by the due dates and the progress of its completion. here are two very simple examples i made.Ā
as you progress through the list, itās always so good to see the growing checkmarks! like yes, you did that and you can continue doing so! i always advocate for keeping track of your accomplishments no matter what ā”
as for day to day classes and schedules, you can use notion or google calendar. there are plenty of cute and practical templates out there to use.
let me know if i should share mine or make some
the most important thing a student can do is put themselves first! find out what works for you. your strengths, your weaknesses, and obstacles you tend to come across and work around them to make the best out of it.Ā
weāve already covered the topics of time and place so great! now, that youāre all set, additional things i keep in mind to make sure i am all nice and comfortable areā¦
making sure i am comfortable. the temperature, clothes i am wearing, if i feel safe at the cafe/library/room iām in.
i canāt focus or do anything on an empty stomach so get a small meal before you start and keep water and snacks with you!
the most important questions of all: are there any illnesses you have that affect your studying and focus? what is something you often find that gets in your way?
as hard as dealing with illnesses gets on a daily basis, itās easy to forget that it can affect your studies just as much. you need to work with them. i used to think i was stupid, slow, and downright crazy for not understanding material right away or for how easily distracted i got because of my random bursts of energy. then it just dawned upon me one day and i said āoh⦠duh?ā
so, what did i do? i found out what worked for me, monitored my studying techniques and personally modified them to work better with my attention deficit.
tackle the important tasks first. low maintenance assignments like reading and writing notes on a section, annotations, and worksheets can wait if theyāre easy but this way might not be for everyone.Ā
the reason why i advise this is because at the beginning of a study session, i have the most energy/brain power so iād rather shift my energy towards the assignments that need more of my focus!
plan what tasks you intend on focusing on that day. look at your assignment spreadsheet. which ones are more important/urgent? due the soonest? write them out in order and follow the list.
immediately writing down my thoughts. iām very forgetful so making this a habit has helped me so much for when i get any new ideas and remember to do something very important.
find out what learning style fits you. visual, auditory, reading and writing, kinesthetic. making powerpoints, study guides, drawing diagrams, color coding systems, interactive notes. cater your study methods to your needs. here is a pinterest board with examples!
take a self assessment quiz. if you want, check these quizzes out to figure out what kind of learner you are and what study habits you can improve! remember that you can always be more than one thing just because quizzes give you a single result. you know you!
active recall. itās a study method to help with retention, memorization, and informational retrieval. it reduces forgetfulness all the while actively stimulating your brain rather than writing notes, highlighting text information.Ā
separate the topics + subtopics and in the end, when you feel confident, jumble them together.
flashcards! i love them. you can use quizlet which has a spaced repetition system where it will bring back material you got wrong so you can focus on it extensively. physical flashcards and manually having to write them out is also a form of memorization!
practice testing (not multiple choice) online or finding them on a textbook, ask a friend to quiz you or ask questions to yourself and try to answer them accurately.
pretend to give a lecture. i love this one the most because if you know the subject very well, you can pretend to explain it to a peer and even a middle schooler so that it gives you a chance to simplify the material so itās easy for them (and you) to retain.Ā
while using flashcards and lecture techniques, it helps me when my adhd flares up and i really canāt seem to stay still or keep from making noise. i can walk around my room & talk aloud, walk on a treadmill, and move my body!
i study until it becomes natural for me to know the answer, not because i recognize the term.
check your work and understanding to make sure that all of the information youāre studying is correct! it wonāt hurt to do a little review here and there. you never know when a mistake mightāve snuck itās way in.
make your own study guide. (if thatās your method) for every unit and section, covering every topic. this can be on google docs and whenever you learn something new that you think is important to know, add it via docs app or write it on a notepad so that you can fill it in later.
on the go. you donāt have to do this ALL the time (or at all) but if you think you need more time to soak your mind with information but youāre on a bus, waiting in line, etc. pull out your flashcards or google docs app to quickly review. thereās no harm in that! (just make sure youāre aware of your surroundings please)
OFFICE HOURS! go to office hours even if you donāt have any specific questions or struggles! itās always an extra learning opportunity because you can listen to teachers and teaching assistants answer questions you might have later on AND the more you attend office hours, youāll build a connection and get to know the teachers. that is always important.
starting assignments ahead of time. donāt put off working on a project just because itās due in 3 weeks or so. start ahead of time so you donāt stress yourself out and cram. stretch them out. plus, even if you donāt actually put yourself to work, get a feel of the materials youāll need to know, the instructions, etc because if you have any questions, youāll have more/easy access to teachers for help since not many people will be there at the beginning of when a project is assigned.
ADVANCE READING! this is so fun to do. you basically just read ahead on current/future topics the teacher will cover to grasp onto the information. write down any questions you have and personally ask the teacher for a more clear answer for your understanding.
i love doing this because when the time comes of the teacher covering the topic, light bulbs just keep going off in my head! itās exciting. it gives me room for me to retain and write any additional information the teacher says.
do not multitask. remember, if multitasking has always worked for you, donāt stop! for me, itās truly better to focus on the task at hand to strengthen skills and concentration rather than having to do 2 or 3 different things at once. efficiency is key and staying true to one task at a time is the best way to do so.
BUT when my adhd gets in the way, be consistently inconsistent. donāt unnecessarily guilt trip yourself when you suddenly feel like doing another task. go with the flow. follow whatever your brain feels like doing at the moment! MOVEMENT IS MOVEMENT.
additional tip: take breaks at certain times even if you donāt feel like it. like the advice above, it doesnāt necessarily have to be resting. it can be as simple as taking a trip to get a beverage, tidying up your area, something easy & light to keep your mind occupied and to avoid burn out.
Ā breaking down the assignments into sections. this defeats procrastination. it can seem overwhelming when all the information is pieced together into one so divide the tasks into small sections.Ā
ex. read one chapter in the textbook, start writing down terms to know, annotate. move onto the next.
study groups. itās collaborativeā a chance to ask and also help others on topics you donāt know and make connections! the smaller the better in my opinion.
donāt look at studying as something you āhave" to do. itās an activity. a choice. it can either be stressful or something you can easily get throughā how you approach this will ;
participate! ask questions! donāt be afraid to ask questions and raise your hand to put your two cents in when itās an open discussion! just do it.
focus on the now. donāt overwhelm yourself by looking at all the assignments you have due. the task youāre working on at the present moment is the one that needs the most attention and focus.
advice from others wonāt always work for you. we are all different! what might work for others wonāt always work for you. this is why itās important to monitor your study sessions, habits, behaviors, and find out what works and what you like better through trial and error.Ā
except for when i tell you to take care of yourself. if thereās anything you should take away from my posts, it is to put your needs first. always!
āthink of motivation as a power boost at the starting line and your foot pressing on the pedal of your car is discipline, itās what keeps you going forward on your journey. motivation, as fleeting as it is wonāt bring you far but self-discipline will.ā
remind yourself of the life you want to live, the businesses you will own, the cases youāll win, the people youāll be able to help with your knowledge, the feelings youāll have because of your amazing accomplishments if you just keep. on. going.Ā
read the ācontinuing to strengthen self disciplineā section in my dream girl guide post. i guarantee it will help in finding what really works best for you when it comes to identifying roadblocks and how to work around these struggles.
KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM. youāve been on top of your game so when it comes to engaging in activities that donāt revolve around school work, make it worthwhile. stay off your phone, say no to silly distractions and do something youāll thoroughly enjoy. paint, draw, write, read a book, go on a walk! this will keep you going in doing your very best every day and it doesnāt have to be a strenuous activity! stagnancy who?
DOING ANYTHING THAT BRINGS YOU JOY AND FULFILLMENT IS PRODUCTIVE.Ā
TAKE BREAKS. GO TO SLEEP. EAT WELL.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
DO NOT PUT THIS ON THE BACK BURNER. you want good grades and to do your very best, that canāt happen unless you TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
if itās past your usual bedtime and your eyes are drooping, struggling to stay open, how are you able to retain all the information from that moment on? go to bed because then youāll get a good nightās sleep and youāll be refreshed for your next dayās class! OR if you donāt have class, youāll be able to bounce back into studying in amazing condition.
PAMPER YOURSELF.Ā
good heavens, take a shower, wash your face, go for a walk, move your body, stretch, take time to just stay to yourself. enjoy the silence, play some calming music, watch a show, take a nap. your body is a temple, treat it with love.Ā
if youāre constantly stressed out all the while continuously flooding your brain with so much information without resting:
it decreases concentration ā you wonāt be able to retain any new information (so studying is automatically deemed useless) ā poor sleep ā you attend class and your inability to focus and overall school performance has degradedā you isolate yourself from social interactions ā fall into depression ā difficulty picking yourself back up and the list goes onā¦
in summary, you will not be able to continue and put in your best work.
always remember that pushing yourself past your limit does more harm than good.Ā
you WILL crash and all that hard work will go to waste once youāre physically and mentally unable to show up for yourself.
and if it means you have to get anything lower than a 80, IT IS OKAY. nothing is worth more than your health. trust me.

disclaimer: this post is heavily inspired by @tomb-of-ligeia and @daphne-dauphinoise, and early 2010s beauty youtubers. itās always kind to credit your inspo <3
inspired by the lookbooks and makeup charts used by makeup artists designers at high fashion runways shows and childhood bratz coloring and activity books. the law of attraction is at use heavily with this binder (writing down goals and wishlists)!
you should be keeping diy recipes you find in here.
*you donāt need a physical binder. some people function better with digital mediums. i prefer anything physical and concrete. but you can do all this in something like a notion, or your notes app, etc.
a cute girly hobby (esp for type A, anal retentive, or analytical personalities/extremely creative, hands on people) to keep track of your routines, motivate you to keep yourself maintained, and figure out what works best for you. itās nothing too serious, just a girly pastime for people that maybe buy too many products, slip up on routines, or donāt what looks best on your features. have fun!
an intro sheet 10 different topics divided by tabbed sections: your personal features, makeup, body, fashion, skincare, hair, fragrance, nails, treatments/procedures, salons/spas/referrals/contacts š
here, you should keep your goals, desired look, and how you want to perceive yourself.
your personal features
a chart of your color season. mine is cool winter. you can use color season for whatever, i choose to apply it to my makeup.
your natural body shape. this will help you choose the best clothes to flatter your silhouette.
a close up, unfiltered clear photo of your bare face. note your skin type, color, undertone, and any other things that stand out to you.
note what you wanna enhance and what you wanna improve. this will help throughout your binder.
makeup
put on a light layer of every lipstick/lip gloss/etc. you have and make kiss shaped swatches in your binder. note the shade, brand, and finish. then the mood/occasion in which youād wear it.
swatch all your lip liners, again leaving the details of the product.
swatch your foundation shades. note the finish, name and brand.
make a sheet dedicated to all your āholy grailā, essential products.
swatch your eyeshadow palettes. i have all my shimmer pigments swatches and itās the prettiest thing to look at.
do you have any go to makeup looks? your casual look, going out look, no makeup makeup look, etc.? do these looks and take high quality pics. make personalized face charts by printing them out and noting the steps and products you used.
take c*nty pics of your lashes after trying on all your mascaras/falsies. note the effects and when you would be most likely to wear them.
print out any pics of interesting makeup looks and products you wanna try.
body
take a stick figure-esque picture of yourself and print it out. any outfit you want to buy, print and clip it out first and see if itās something youād wear and actually like.
are you experiencing any skin issues on your body and trying any products? keep track of the issue and how the products are doing.
if you donāt already have one, brainstorm workout routines and general wellness/fitness goals.
what are your fav body products? what products did you buy, and hate? TRACK THEM!
any detoxes/diets youāre doing should be recorded in this section.
record ābeauty enhancingā foods and drinks here. mine include matcha, lemon water and acv shots.
fashion
outfit planning! take pics of pieces you already have and clip them out. (iām doing this currently and keeping them all in a little pocket in my binder).
make a moodboard of your personal style(s). how do you want your closet to look? try to see what details, colors, additions are consistent throughout. when shopping, these are what you should keep track of.
print out your signature clothing color palette if you want to have one.
dedicate a page to accessories you have/want, and how youād style them.
*this can be expensive but the fashion girls will prob love this* go to the fabric store and buy little swatches that you like. take note of what the fabric is and why you like it.
dedicate a page to all your signature details. all the little specific things that scream YOU and NO ONE else! that means do not write pink, girly, etc. here. that is not exclusive to you, hun.
skincare
take a current filter free photo (make it glam! tie your hair up in a ballerina bun and put on some cute earrings) of the state of your skin. if your skin is perfect, iām jealous and how does it feel to be godās fav? if not what problems are you experiencing?
log your current skincare routines and how theyāre working.
make a page for your skin type, how it feels when you wake up and how it feels and looks by the end of the day and research tips to deal with your personal skin type.
skincare wishlist! list any products you wanna try and what they are for. sample them from ulta or sephora if itās possible.
dedicate a page to the skincare ingredients your skin loves the MOST! mine are retinol, bha, and vitamin c.
i have a page for all the extra cute little skincare devices i want. on it thereās a stainless steel gua sha, an ice pack, facial steamer, and pink foreo.
hair
whatās your hair type, density, porosity and curl pattern?
write down any hair goals you have. mine is frizz free tailbone length caramel brown hair with honey blonde highlights by the end of this year.
whatās your signature hairstyle? do you have a signature? brainstorm here.
clip out hairstyle inspo from pinterest and insta and try to recreate all the looks!
what are your fav hair products? i keep track of the best curling creams and leave in conditioners for my hair personally.
take note of any trending products you wanna try.
fragrance
make a moodboard of how you wanna smell. after this, research notes and how they work together.
now track your fav perfumes, your most complimented, etc.
note what fragrances go with what occasion and how they make you feel.
make your perfume wishlist! my fav part!
nails
swatch all your polishes. label them and their finish.
whatās your signature/go to nail look?
do you have any pics of your fav mani + pedis? print them out and write the details you loved the most.
write down your at home mani and pedi routine and itās frequency.
write your fav colors and styles to wear on your nails. mine are glittery pink, pale pink, white, cream, french tip and pink frenchie. a hyper girly twist on the classics.
treatments/procedures
take note of any surgeries or procedures you want done and what they do.
anything you leave the house to have done regularly, keep track here.
donāt limit yourself! forget your budget! what are some high maintenance treatments you wanna experience? manifest it.
references
write down the sources of which you find great info for beauty and fashion
keep addresses of your fav salons and spas.
keep business contacts of your fav estheticians, stylists, nail techs, etc.

Fantasy Guide to Royal Households and How they Work
When I say Households, I mean the entourage that follows around the royal family. The household went everywhere with them to care for their needs from the people who would empty their chamber pots to their noble companions. Most royal households are basically the same as noble ones, only on grander scale. Every royal had a household and an entourage as well as every noble at court.
The commons were an intregal part of every household. They made up perhaps 80% of the work force. Royal courts were often on the road and never spent more than a few months at every palace. The court was constantly moving. Some positions were not permanent, meaning certain servants did not travel with the court because they were employed at the palace only. They would be paid by the Monarch's paymaster.
Scullion: The scullion was a relatively easy position to fill so they were often changed as the court went from palace to palace. They would be responsible for scrubbing and cleaning the servants quarters and the kitchens. They would scrub floors with lye, scour pots with sand, sweep put the fireplace and clean up after the other servants. They were the first to rise in a castle and tasked to light all the fires in the kitchens. Scullions would just be employed to the palace and serve a multitude of chambers
Laundress: The laundress was responsible for the cleaning of anything made of fabric in the household. Since they are handling unmentionables, they knew what happened behind closed bedchamber doors. They knew when the King visited the Queen or hadn't, they knew when marriages were consummated or not and they knew when the Queen and royal women were not pregnant. They often sold secrets to pad their pockets. Laundresses might be permanent staff but sometimes not.
Minstrels: The minstrel was a commoner hired to play an instrument or sing for the entertainment of the royal. A royal might staff a few at a time but they would always have one on hand. The minstrel would likely come with their masters as they travelled. The minstrel might serve the main royal household but a royal might retain their own.
Cook: The cook was one of the most important servants in the household. They would have the task of overseeing the running of the kitchens and keeping supplies in order. They would likely be on call at all times. Henry VIII's cook was often woken in the night because his royal master wanted a midnight snack. The cook was a valued member of the household and would have been highly sought after if they were a very skilled cook. They would have travelled with the joint. Cooks were apart of the greater royal household but often royals retained private cooks for their own use.
Maidservant: The maidservant cleans the castle. She would sweep the floors, scrub them, empty the chamberpots, get rid of the ashes from the fire and ready the fire for later. She would make up the bed or strip it for the laundresses. She would wash anything that needed washing including furniture and ornaments. She was likely not a travelling servant and would be strictly employed at a single palace.
Jester: The jester was the hired entertainer. Working under the master of revels, the jester had the daunting task of making the monarch and their family laugh. They would tell jokes, tell stories, cause havoc in the court for laughs and lighten the mood. The most successful jester of all time was Will Somers, jester to Henry VIII. Will broke bad news to the infamously bad tempered monarch and got away with things that would have sent others to the block. Will survived most of Henry's reign, his head intact. Jesters would be apart of the main household though each royal might have one of their own.
Nobility were always welcomed at court. They eat at court, slept at court and were cared for by the monarch. Some nobles had to sing for their supper and most were hired as royal servants. They weren't exactly scrubbing floors and would be paid handsomely with land that would generate wealth for them
The Steward/Seneschal: This person was the head of the royal's staff. They would have the task of running the lands and servants their master or mistress. The steward served as a backup and assistant in all the tasks even representing their master or mistress when they were unavailable. Would be a high ranking noble. Each royal household would have them.
Treasurer of the Household: The treasurer was the accountant and pay master. They would be in charge of ensuring debts were settled, wages were paid and the household was running within the budget. This was a coveted position because it gave the treasurer insight into the financial situations of the royals. Such info was wroth its weight in gold. Each royal would have one.
Usher: The Gentleman Usher would be in charge of escorting guests into the royal chambers and into the royal presence. They would act as a go between their royal master/mistress and the guest often going back and forth with messages. It was just as coveted as the position of chamberlain but with less responsibilities.
Master of Horse: The Master of Horse was in charge of seeing to the horses of their master. They would oversee the grooms or the stableboy/hands who were employed at the stables to actually care for the horses. The master of horse would ensure that the stables were in order and the horses were up to parr in order to bear royalty across the kingdom. Each royal would have one but there would a main one who acted as overseer.
Master of the Wardrobe/Mistress of the Robes: These are the nobility who are employed to look after the clothes of the royal they serve. This would mainly involve a managerial position, overseeing the inventory of the royal wardrobe (a warehouse like building that housed the clothing) and placing orders for new clothes. It was a tidy job that rarely involved getting the hands dirty. Each royal would have one.
Chamberlain/Valet: The chamberlain is employed to look after the Lord's bedchamber. This was the most sought out position as they effectively were the gateway into the royal presence. Their main task was making sure their boss was comfortable and happy. Could be a well born commoner or a noble. Each royal would have one.
The Page: All royal households had pages. They would be a young noble boy about seven years old sent to their royal master. He would be in charge of tidying up after the lord, carrying messages to other servants and occupants of the castle and serving him at meals. Unlike others on the list, the page would not be paid. His experience was his payment as he would learn the running of a court and how to be courtier. Each royal would have one.
Squires: Squires were like pages though they only served the men. They would accompany their royal master to battle, look after his armour and mail, ensure that his lord's horse was saddled, caring for their master's weapons. The squire would always be a young nobleman on the cusp of becoming a knight.
Governess: The governess is a noblewoman woman employed to oversee the Monarch's children's household. She would be the first teacher a royal child would have and would oversee the nursemaids who would have care of the physical person of the child. She would be appointed when the child was four or five. Notable governesses include Katherine Swynford (wife of John of Gaunt and mother to the Beaufort line), Margaret Pole (wife of Tudor Loyal Sir Richard Pole, sister of the last York heir Edward of Warwick, daughter of George Duke of Clarence and niece to King Edward VI and Richard III), Kat Ashley, Margaret Bryan, Madame de Maintenon and Baroness Lehzen. Most unmarried Princesses retained their governesses while Princes generally outgrew their governesses after they were breeched.
Gentlemen of the Privy Chamber: They were the male companions of a King or Prince, sort of like ladies in waiting but manly. They would accompany the King or Prince everywhere they would go and shared duties with Groom of the Stool (royal toilet paper dispenser) and the Chief Gentleman of the Chamber (overseeing the staff and maintaining the chamber). They would help their master get ready, serve him at the table and organize hunting and games to keep him entertained. Gentlemen and companions where often chosen for their connections as well as their master's own opinion. Henry VIII's gentlemen included: Sir William Compton (ward of Henry VII and heir to rich lands), Sir Henry Norris (the grandson of William Norris who fought with Henry's father at Stroke and a relation to the Yorkists Lovells), Sir Anthony Denny (son of Sir Edmund Denny Baron of the Exchequer) Sir Michael Stanhope (brother in law to Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset), Charles Brandon (ward of Henry VII and son of Tudor Loyalists)
Ladies in Waiting and Maids in Waiting or Maids of Honour: These are the female attendants to the Queen or Princess. Ladies in Waiting were married while the Maids were unmarried. They would have to attend their mistress wherever she went, help her get ready, keep her chambers in order, write letters for the Queen and maintaining her honour. They were chosen for their connections. Using Katherine of Aragon as an example, her Ladies in Waiting included: Maria de Salinas (daughter of Juan Sancriz de Salinas secretary to Isabella, Princess of Portugal and a Spanish courtier in the service to Katherine's parents, wife of Baron Willoughby de Ersby), Elizabeth Howard (the daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, sister to Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk and wife to Thomas Boleyn, ambassador to France), Anne Hastings (daughter of William Hastings, 1st Baron Hastings, wife to George Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury and Lord Steward.), Agnes Tilney (wife to Thomas Howard, Earl of and 2nd Duke of Norfolk.), Elizabeth Scrope (wife of John de Vere, Earl of Oxford, a loyal Tudor lord), Margaret Scrope (wife of Sir Edmund de la Pole, Earl of Suffolk cousin to the King), Anne Stafford (sister of the Duke of Buckingham, married Sir George Hastings, Earl of Huntington and daughter of Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham (cousin to the King) and Lady Katherine Woodville (sister of King Henry VIII's grandmother and his great aunt by her marriage), Elizabeth Stafford (sister to Anne Stafford wife Robert Radcliffe, Lord Fitzwalter and Earl of Sussex around). Their connections are what got them their places and you can see why they were chosen.
Accommodation can be a difficult thing to sort both as a writer and a steward. You might have a palace of 200+ bedchambers in which you must house a staff of 500-/+, a varying amount of nobles, the royal family (of a varying amount) and their own households. When assigning rooms it is best to think of a Russian nesting doll. Start from the inside and work your way to the outside.
The best rooms go to the monarch, their consort and their children/siblings/parent(s). These chambers would include the bedroom, a drawing room/ common area, a privy, a closet (a small chamber that can be used for prayer or work). They would be furnished with the best cloth, the best candles and whatever furniture brought by the resident since most royal courts travelled from palace to palace. They will also have chambers for their personal servants such as ladies in waiting and grooms.
The second best set of rooms would go to the highest ranking nobles/people in the court. These rooms would be less fancy and a little smaller. These would be given to from titled nobility descending from those of Ducal rank (Dukes/Duchesses) or even members of the council such as Thomas Cromwell in Tudor times.
The next set would be considerably smaller, perhaps minus a closet or a drawing room. Given to lower nobility.
The next level of chambers would be smaller perhaps only the bedroom and a common area given to minor nobles.
The last set of rooms would be small and only hold enough room for a bedroom. Servants would have to sleep on the ground on pallets beside their masters.
Any other guests at court would have to stay at off-site locations around the palace in the city. Some nobles at houses around major palaces just in case they arrived late or were kicked out of court.

Self Care 101 š¦
In this post Iāll be outlining my current routines as they relate to self care. Iāll cover everything from head to toe making sure not to skip your spirit. You cannot be a girl of ANYONEāS dreams if you arenāt taking care of the most important person in your world: you.
wash face with gentle cleanser from curology, tone with organic Mamonde rose water and finish with rich moisturizer and spf30
brush teeth with activated charcoal toothpaste by Crest and baking soda for whitening and gum clarity
take vitamins : womanās one a day, hair skin nails, biotin, vitamin c
drink glass of water then a cup of tea
black tea, raw cane sugar, a lemon slice, ginger
good for energy, immune function, and detox
this may sound so extra (š ), but depending on my hairstyle, I sometimes like to let the shower run for about five minutes with the door closed to create a sauna effect. this is especially if I have a mask on my hair.
my showers usually are about 20-30 minutes
I have a back brush, pink exfoliating gloves, a loofah, and tree hut body scrubs and I use them ALL.
I wash first with my dove beauty bar to assure clean skin before washing with EITHER my OGX Shea So Soft body wash or Dove Renewing Peony and Rose Oil body wash to add scent or silkiness to my skin.
I havenāt yet mastered the art of waxing myself so Iām still riding the shave wave. *when I do Iāll make a post 4 that*
I exfoliate throughly before AND after shaving
I shave my entire body using Tree Hut Shaving Oil and a nice conditioner Iām not using. This leaves my skin super soft and silky and helps the razor to glide without skipping. I use Gillette Venus. no less than five blades, anything less is ASKING for nicks and a hard time.
when I donāt feel like shaving, I use Nair. use at your own risk. yes, I Nair my ENTIRE BODY. only leaving it on for about 7 minutes I rinse in WARM (not hot) water and exfoliate afterwards. it is imperative to moisturize after to avoid irritation. however, Nair is much easier to do than shaving and seems to last an inkling longer.
after shaving, once a month, I pull out my KENZZI. itās an IPL device and it has helped to slow the growth of my hair. itās noticeable for us long, thick haired chicks. I use the second to lowest setting as a melanated babe, as the higher settings could burn me.
I know many endorse the hair on women movement and I can understand it. But I personally love my skin silky, hairless, and smooth.
after eating dinner, I wash my face and apply the tiniest bit of glycolic serum and my curology night cream. my skin has been the best itās been in a few years. then I brush my teeth and rinse with peroxide.
every four days I give myself a facial
my favorite face masks:
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid mask
The Ordinary AHA + BHA mask
all Tony Moly sheet masks *luvvvvv those*
GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD clearing treatment *fav*
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme mask
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel mask
Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask
Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel mask
ORIGINS Clear Improvement mask
An at home honey and aloe mask
I apply a rich facial moisturizer and get to bed.
I then write in my planner my new plans and what I did that day if I hadnāt already. then after that I script and make mood boards in my diary. then I read a little. currently reading: Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin, and Live Like a hot Chick by Jodi Lipper.
I talk to my grandmother about my feelings, she helps me sort things out. please try to find one person you trust to talk to, my messages are always open. š I often overthink. I suffer from anxiety and clinical depression. sometimes these things make me FEEL limited. these experiences wax and wane. I remind myself that the darkness is temporary.
I write in my diary what I feel and track my emotions for potential patterns. I donāt manufacture or sugar coat my feelings, I just talk.
sometimes you need a good cry. let it out. clean your slate. youāll always feel better, sometimes great after a hard, deep sobbing cry.
I try to get out of the house and get some sunlight. it helps brighten my mood sometimes.
LOVE taking baths I donāt care what the status quo is about dirt. just rinse off. I love wrapping my hair up and soaking in warm-hot water.
first I run the water. as itās running I add my bubble bath, then body wash, then my Shea Moisture fragrant coconut oil. it smells soooo good, literally yummy. then I inevitably scream from dipping my toe in the hot water. finally I get in, scrub down my body, emphasis on feet. then I wash, and just relax. Iāve even fallen asleep in the tub once, I was so zen.
careful not to soak too long or overdo it with your products. synthetic materials lingering in your lady bits for too long cause cause infections like bv or uti
some women add tea tree oil, acv, or even Aztec clay to their baths for wellness purposes. I love adding essential oils to my baths to relax and the natural scent is just great š„ŗ
when I get out I always put something that feels lush and soft on. *invest in super soft, comfy bath towels, theyāll make you feel so luxurious and soft after a nice relaxing bath*
the yoni is something sensitive that needs to be taken care of thoroughly, and differently than the rest of your body. itās not recommended to use soaps down there, it can unbalance things and make you itch. also make you prone to infection. this is why I use clear warm water to clean. if I use soap itās a sensitive, gentle formula. donāt ever try to clean the cavity. sheās a self cleaning vessel.
to shave, I trim my hair down as close as possible and use a FIVE BLADE razor with conditioner and take my time. making sure not to pass a spot twice, I apply moderate pressure and move slowly. when finished I rinse and scrub gently. I PAT not rub dry. to finish off I apply TendSkin, and salicylic acid to avoid ingrowns. once thatās soaked in I apply shea butter. very soft and pretty šø
ā ļø DO NOT PUT ON TIGHT PANTIES OR RIGHT PANTS AFTER SHAVING. it restricts the hairs and causes irritation and ingrowns. throw on some comfy loose shorts for a while, let it breathe
dietary needs:
drink plenty of water
cranberry juice
vitamin c
minimal red meat
probiotics
at home vagacial for the high maintenance girlies:
*make any necessary extractions with pointed and slanted tweezers *
scrub: ļæ¼
brown sugar, tea tree oil, a little shea butter
exfoliating and anti inflammatory
mask:
baking soda, fresh lemon juice, vitamin e oil, papaya juice, gelatin
fixes discoloration and brightens the skin while softening
moisturize:
aloe vera gel, rose hip seed oil
ah yes, my favorite part. I love fragrance so much. I love to smell like you could literally break off a piece of me and eat it.
I find that using fragrant washes and oils make your scent more strong and help it linger. I already mentioned the body washes I use. the tree hut scrubs I use smell amazing also. I alike to add essential oils and man made scents like strawberry and chocolate to my Shea Moisture oil (so yummy).
I also use a fragrant lotion, eau de parfum, and fragrance mist.
hereās a list of some of my favorites:
perfumes:
jimmy choo fever
coach floral blush
yves saint laurent mon paris
victoriaās secret bombshell
victoriaās secret scandalous
valentino
fragrance mists:
victoriaās secret velvet petals, pure seduction, warm and cozy
bath and body works a thousand wishes, fiji pineapple palm, warm vanilla sugar, black raspberry vanilla
oils:
coconut
sweet almond
peppermint
chocolate scented essential oil
strawberry scented essential oil
orange
grapefruit
eucalyptus
sweetest combo ever:
vanilla extract, coconut oil, shea butter, and your favorite perfume. youāll be smelling like a warm cupcake with extra sprinkles and icing š§
layering:
oil, lotion, eau de parfum, mist
pulse points:
inside elbows and knees, in between thighs, inner arms, behind ears, back of neck, ankles
itās super important to keep your hair moisturized. quenched tresses move, grow, shine and bounce. dry hair is limp, lackluster, and extremely fragile
my fav diy deep conditioner:
a banana, half an avocado, three spoons of honey, an egg, a spoonful of mayo, a spoonful of coconut, olive, and castor oil each
strength from egg, avocado, mayo and olive oil
moisture from avocado and honey
cover damp CLEAN hair and scalp in mixture and cover with a plastic bag, then towel for an hour, rinse thoroughly, and seal in moisture
fav hair products:
castor oil
fusionplex conditioner and mask
Aussie conditioner
wella goji berry mask
coconut oil
style booster edge control
helpful tips:
when shampooing, concentrate on the scalp and wash thoroughly twice, as the suds will naturally cleanse your stands without drying and stripping them
rinse hair with apple cider vinegar every now and then. it restores your ph balance, smooths the cuticle, clarifies the strands, and adds shine
always add oil and leave ins to DAMP hair, never dry; this will ensure youāre sealing in moisture
try to use smooth fabrics to dry your hair, bath towels encourage frizz and breakage
and last but not least, letās cover manicuring and pedicuring.
itās super important to make sure your nails are either DONE or filed, shaped, and smooth. at home maintenance is super easy. make a point to scrub your hands and feet well when bathing. make sure to stay on top of your cuticles by trimming or pushing them back. I like the look that pushing them gives. I use an orangewood stick, metal pusher and cuticle softener to make the process super easy and safe. after Iām done I add my pineapple scented cuticle oil. I do this on my fingers and toes.
invest in a rasp and pumice stone for your feet and use these gently every two weeks after soaking them in warm foot salts. rough usage can cause cuts and irritation. in between treatments keep your feet soft by slathering them in a moisturizing foot cream, cocoa/shea butter then oil to seal it all in. buy some soft thick aloe infused socks and wear them to sleep. youāll thank me š
