I already have relogged a post talking about the same topic but, I'm going to basically repeat it.

I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 entirely, I personally couldn't get into it. But, I've heard plenty of stuff about it to somewhat keep up.

And I heard about the bullshit done on the one man in the group who is black. Wyll.

Interesting storyline, poorly done. While the other companions have more fleshed out storylines. Especially Astarion. Everyone's obsessed with him.

Not the first time I've seen a character who happens to be black be poorly done, left with barely any story, any interesting quests, just there because.

Vivienne. From Dragon Age: Inquisition. I don't care if you like her or not, but she was robbed of potential. They did her so dirty, it still pisses me off. They even gave her a character trailer when Inquisition was coming out, having us think she'll be more involved. Nope. They lied.

"What is this about" you're probably wondering.

Dragon Age: Veilguard's new companion, Davrin.

I better see a character who is fleshed out, not left behind on story and personality, and not have his whole personality be about him being part of the Grey Wardens. BioWare. Don't fuck this man over.

Our lives before the genocide were not perfect, to say the least, but we were happy and hopeful. Our dreams were and are still bigger than the walls, barbed wire, and tanks surrounding us but today we find ourselves in a situation where hope keeps being dimmed by constant humiliation and unprecedented injustice. The adults in my family are barely holding on.

They're doing their best but what is our children's fault? What did they do to deserve such unbearable suffering at a very young age? When will this nightmare end? Will I be able to see them all someday safe, sound, happy and thriving like all children should? Such cruel neverending questions keep haunting me night and day. What we seek, above all, is not only to live in safety but also with dignity which is a basic human right we have always been denied.

Our Lives Before The Genocide Were Not Perfect, To Say The Least, But We Were Happy And Hopeful. Our
Our Lives Before The Genocide Were Not Perfect, To Say The Least, But We Were Happy And Hopeful. Our

whenever I see Omar and Salah's pictures in our beautiful home that was leveled to the ground, I can't help but compare them to the state they're in now; struggling to survive in a flimsy, airless makeshift tent surrounded by rubble, all sorts of disease-carrying insects, the stench of sewage floods and garbage, and the smell of death everywhere only made worse by the sweltering summer heat. The newborns' and the children's innocent faces amidst such misery won't leave my thoughts. They fill me with grief and rage because of how helpless I am. Seeing the kids smile and hold their heads up high, despite all the suffering and fear their little hearts have to go through every single day, is pure torture. Their childhood games have been replaced by waiting in long lines for food and water and carrying containers, sometimes heavier than their fargile malnourished bodies. Most of their playgrounds, kindergartens and schools have been reduced to dust and rubble, and the ones left are still being bombed allowing them no respite or refuge from

the horrors of the war.

Our Lives Before The Genocide Were Not Perfect, To Say The Least, But We Were Happy And Hopeful. Our

For almost ten months now, our little angels have been enduring hardships beyond their years; ripped from the safety and warmth of their home and everything they knew and loved and forced into a life of pain and peril where only the unknown awaits them. Your support is our only ray of hope amidst such a dire and bleak situation. My family and especially our children need you now more than ever as the airstrikes, starvation, and water and health crises are only intensifying and we are being further humiliated and annihilated. I never wanted it to come to this. I used to think I could handle everything myself but I truly have no choice but to ask for help now. Please help me protect my family and bring them closer to the life of safety and dignity they deserve as all humans do, wherever they are.

Hello,,

My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. A comic panel done in brownish red pencil and soft blue, with a soft yellow background. A hijabi girl is taking a photo with her phone, maybe a selfie, her speech bubble saying 'Say cheese!' and one hand making a peace sign. There is a flash going off effect and the sound effect SNAP coming off her phone. The hand holding the phone has some rings. The text above her says "Before the war, I loved filming very much".
A comic panel done in brownish red pencil and soft blue, with a soft yellow background. The hijabi girl with her phone held up in her hand is looking sheepish as the silhouette of a male family member, next to a more vague one, has his hands on his hips, angrily asking her "Why do you love photography??!" in a spiky speech bubble. She is wearing an open jacket. There are bushes and some building behind. The text above says "My family was hating it, though".
A comic panel done in brownish red pencil with a soft yellow background. The silhouettes of the hijabi girl, a young girl with a ponytail that curls at the end, and another family member (possibly the one from before) are sitting close together, looking at her phone. They are in front of some low wall with railings on it and various household objects are resting against this wall, among them a fan, a basket and cups. The text above says "Now, they often ask to see the photos I took,"
A comic panel done in brownish red pencil with a soft yellow background. The girl's hand, covered to the wrist by the sleeve of her top, is holding her phone horizontally, slightly askew. On it is a photo of two cups of coffee or tea on saucers, sitting on a part of a round table next to what seems to be a food box with a spoon tied to it with a thick band. In the background is a tree, some shrubs and what might be a pole. The text above says "for they are a memory of everything we lost".

on a second DA:I playthrough i’m noticing so much more foreshadowing in companion/advisor dialogue of how cadash/adaar/lavellan/tracelyan as a person HAS to be obliterated by the inquisition as a political, religious, and narrative force and the title of inquisitor.

mother giselle tells you from the beginning it doesn’t matter what you believe about being/not being the herald; you are an icon to the common people and the chantry.

josephine tells you after the truth about “andraste”/justinia is revealed in the fade—it doesn’t matter what you saw or felt, only what is remembered collectively.

dorian tells you if you ask to go with him to tevinter—you can never undo being the inquisitor, and would take away his agency just by being there.

varric tells you in haven that you’re a tragic hero, and asks at the wicked grace game if there is still a “you” separate from the inquisitor.

solas tells you in skyhold, if you tell him you intend to disband the inquisition, that the power you’ve amassed can’t be destroyed, and will only pass to less worthy hands if you relinquish it.

and all of that is just off the top of my head and comes up before ameridan’s name is ever mentioned.

and it’s all been said before but like! fuck! truth is the game was rigged from the start! you’ve been COOKED, inquisitor! YOU CAN NEVER GO HOME! it’s so fucking good

it's practically taboo to still talk about covid but god i wish we could acknowledge the worldwide trauma it's clearly still causing in people. like, it's flat out just. not "polite" to talk about how a mass deadly event might, JUST MIGHT, emotionally affect us a little bit. how an airborne invisible-to-the-eye thing can just BE anywhere now. how abandoned we still feel by our respective governments. how we've lost family, friends, either to death or misinformation and cults, which they cling to because they're ALSO afraid but often refuse to admit it because it'd mean admitting covid is real and ongoing. we just. can't talk about it i guess.

Hello everyone,I am khaled . Stuck here in Gaza in a struggle for survival.. I face new suffering every day.. The difficulties do not stop.. Our energies are exhausted, and we are no longer able to continue.. There are no necessities for life.. I lost my job as a daily teacher, and there is no money to buy my family’s basic needs.. I have a child who needs milk and diapers, and I am facing great difficulty in finding and purchasing them. High prices are another painful aspect of war. I feel deprived when I am unable to provide food for my family. We also face great difficulty in obtaining water. The war has turned our lives upside down. Our dreams and ambitions have been destroyed. I have become very concerned about the life of my son Karam, who has become afraid of the sounds he hears and wakes up terrified from sleep. He also suffers from malnutrition due to the deprivation we are experiencing. My son’s future and fate are bleak, and I can not do anything for him. Help me to save my son and my family from the war. I'm Nour Alanqar, and reaching out to you during a time of unimaginable hardship. I am 26 years old, married to Ashraf Ismail, who is 32, and together we have three beautiful children: Hussein, 6, Rajaa, 5, and Youssef, just 10 months old. Our lives have been turned upside down by the devastating war in Gaza, and we desperately need your help.

My daughter Rajaa is a radiant beam of sunshine, bringing boundless joy, warmth, and love to everyone she meets.

I'm Nour Alanqar, And Reaching Out To You During A Time Of Unimaginable Hardship. I Am 26 Years Old,

On a dark night at the beginning of the war, our area was subjected to massive bombing. The explosions reached our home, forcing us to flee into the night, running amidst periodic explosions and searching for survival. We made our way to southern Gaza by morning, seeking refuge in Rafah.

This is our home, filled with our memories and moments of joy and happiness, now reduced to rubble. Its destruction shattered our hearts.

I'm Nour Alanqar, And Reaching Out To You During A Time Of Unimaginable Hardship. I Am 26 Years Old,

In Rafah, we found shelter in a crowded warehouse filled with strangers, all of us struggling to find basic necessities like food, water, safety, and cleanliness. Despite these challenges, we were again hit by direct bombardment. My husband was injured in the shoulder, and the scene around us was filled with blood and corpses. The cries of my children in those moments still echo in my head.

A fragment of what it once was, and now, what it has become.

I'm Nour Alanqar, And Reaching Out To You During A Time Of Unimaginable Hardship. I Am 26 Years Old,

We moved several times to places described as safe, only to face new tragedies. During this period, my precious daughter Raja contracted hepatitis, adding to our suffering.

It was incredibly difficult for me to endure these disasters, especially as I was in the process of giving birth. Youssef was deprived of proper breastfeeding and the necessary nutrition for his age. Hussein's right to education and a safe childhood have been cruelly taken from him.

My baby Youssef, whom I clung to throughout the war, running with him through the rubble of shattered homes to escape.

I'm Nour Alanqar, And Reaching Out To You During A Time Of Unimaginable Hardship. I Am 26 Years Old,

At an age when Hussein should have been enjoying his childhood, all his rights were taken away from him.

I'm Nour Alanqar, And Reaching Out To You During A Time Of Unimaginable Hardship. I Am 26 Years Old,

Our situation is dire, and we need your support to rebuild our lives and provide a future for our children. Your kindness and generosity can make a profound difference. Your contributions will help us secure safe shelter, access to medical care, and the basic necessities of life.

Please, consider helping us during this critical time. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to safety, stability, and a chance to rebuild our lives.

UPDATE: Pads and Reusable Water Bottles!

These past few days, Hussam says that the temperature was quite high, going as high as 37C on Yawn Arafat (the day before Eid)! The situation for everyone continues to be tough in the middle of their continued displacement while they seek safety from bombings.

Thankfully, Hussam managed to buy 5 liter reusable water bottles and pads for the people of the camp he is staying at. Each family received a 5 liter water bottle and 3 packages of high quality hygiene pads. Your donations helped make this possible!

Please keep donating to HelpGazaChildren! This grassroots effort is helping so many people in Gaza when the world has abandoned them!

Donate to our GoFundMe which goes directly to Hussam with NO middleman in between! He also sends money to the North!
