It was relatively quiet when Janus crept down the mindscape’s hallway. He could hear the sound of a movie playing from the living room- a quick peek revealed that Patton, Logan, Roman, and Virgil were watching Tangled, and they more or less resembled the movie’s title with how curled up they were together. Janus rolled his eyes, and continued on to his destination: Remus’s room. It was just a little bit past midnight, making it officially the twenty-fifth of June- Remus’s birthday (although technically speaking as sides they were never really born, and technically he should have shared Roman’s birthday, considering that they were twins, but Remus instead chose the day he first appeared… which was another can of worms entirely as it could sometimes bring on troublesome memories for Remus due to the… split, for lack of a better term).

Lost in thought, Janus hadn’t entirely realized he had made it to Remus’s door until he nearly walked past it. He shook his head, as if he were trying to dislodge the thoughts. Remus was doing much better when it came to things with his brother, and while he still didn’t really want people to make a big fuss out of his birthday, he was more open to celebrating it. Hence why Janus was creeping through the halls to wish his boyf- Remus, a happy birthday.

Day 5: Music

This is from my music competition AU! Virgil and Remus start a band, with Virgil playing the guitar and Remus playing the bass.

I mean I do this so-

Y’all ever think about Virgil and him just texting the others while he’s crying and sad? Like maybe Patton texts him about his day and he’s super happy and Virgil’s had a shitty day, but he doesn’t wanna bring the mood down so he just acts along like

Patton: And he said yes! Can you believe that Virgil?

Virgil: of course I can Pat, you’re a great guy

Patton: Awww Virgil you’re so sweet

Virgil: eh debatable

Patton: Virgil no

Virgil: Did you figure out where you’re going to take him?

Patton: oh dear lordie I have not!

Meanwhile Virgils just bawling his eyes out cuz he’s tired and overthinking sending smiley faces and stuff.

Like he wants to talk about it with someone but they’re so happy he’d rather just focus on them. Like why bring them down with his bullshit. Even if he wanted to he doesn’t know how he’d even bring it up. So he just deals with it and tries to enjoy the attention he’s given. Idk it’s just been on my mind..

Day 19 - Everyone is born with a compass on their wrist, the needle of the compass points towards your soulmate. 

Trigger/content warnings!! Dissociation, PTSD, talk of conversion therapy and aftereffects/internalized homophobia, food mentions, nausea, anxiety/panic attack, unintentionally skipping meals, emetophobia/vomiting, pulling hair (does that count as self harm?).

Word count: 5k 

He barely remembered the hospital. It was all just a blur of doctors and police officers and more sleep than he’d gotten in weeks. After the first night of twitching in the dark confines of his hospital room and waking up screaming from nightmares the few brief seconds his consciousness faded, he was given sleeping pills, and the rest of the visit was quickly forgotten. The clearest part of the two week stay was near the end, when he was deemed physically well enough to give a statement to his social worker and a policeman, describing his ‘therapy’ and his life at the foster home, which quickly dissolved into a panic attack. They had enough though, and he was left with a sick satisfaction that they weren’t getting away with what they’d done to him.
