bake them cookies!! in their preferred flavour

stick little notes of love into their jacket pockets

put on a mix of their favourite songs when you hang out with them

check up on them during their day!! sounds cliche and overused but i promise its actually something that i love receiving from my friends

suggest hanging out together <3

send them funny videos / tiktoks that you think they’d like

“hey this reminded me of you” [post attached]

“hey i know you’re having a hard time rn but i’m here for you okay” [happy gif attached]

make them their favourite drink as a pick-me-up

surprise them with morning coffee before class!!

get to know their drink order :) surprising them with their fav drink is an awesome mood booster

hype them up on their instagram posts!!!

spill about your day / tea then ask about them (the other way around works too! but be tactful :3)

ask them if they need comfort or advice when they’re upset — this exterminates unwanted advice/comfort

"y/n c'mon! you can't come to the beach and not even dip your feet in the water!" Kevin whines, taking your reluctant hands in his and guiding you to the water.

he giggles as you complain about how hot the sand is until your feet meet the water.

"nice, right?"

you respond with a smile and a nod, and Kevin twirls you around in his arms. both of your laughters meet and echo. it feels like you're flying up in the sky as the water splashes around in slow motion and all you can see is Kevin's eye smile.

then he stops suddenly, pressing his forehead to yours.

"thank you for being part of my life, y/n. happy birthday," he says before quickly pressing his lips to yours, then running away.

you chase after him, demanding he take responsibility for the kiss and your speedy heartbeat. when you finally catch up to him, the two of you fall on the ground, yelling as the cold water hits you.

"i love your birthday, y/n. it's warm and we can come to the beach. you're literally my summer," he says, looking at his hand holding yours in the water.

you don't know what to say in reponse so you just shuffle closer and rest your head on his chest. he squeezes your hand tightly under the water, knowing you return each and every one of his feelings for you.
