I Miss Cody. Where Is He. Is He Well

Everyday I wake up to people mischaracterising Cody. One day of peace. That’s all I ask.

He is NICE. He is an exemplary soldier but he is also NICE. The Empire goes against everything he believes in. That’s such a vital part of who he is. He would never ever knowingly or willingly help them. Their ideals do not match up. The literal second he realised what they were really like, he got the fuck out of there (and that’s with absolutely zero clarification as to whether his chip is still working in any capacity)

He also would never intentionally hurt his brothers. Didn’t think that would have to be said but here we are. He loves them. There’s a reason even Clone Force 99 trust him. He’s a good person.

“He should’ve stayed with the Empire.”

Choose anyone else. I quite literally mean anyone else. There is no universe in which that would happen. He was genuinely close with Obi Wan Kenobi, the golden boy of the Jedi Order, and you think he would ever want to be part of a regime like that? No. It would never happen. Choose someone else. I am begging. Let him be nice.

It is thematically on point for it to dwell in nostalgia now and then! It’s what the characters do.

You’ve got something good, why not revisit it once in a while? That’s the point of having a spaceship. 

i think the reason Commander Cody’s character is often undersold is because his story isn’t ever told in any one story. his screentime in tcw is low, but meaningful, his appearances in comics are incredible, but overlooked, he isn’t touched on much in RotS, but his personality is still super obvious there, and he’s only in one episode of Bad Batch, but he quite literally changed the entire course of the season with his short amount of time. all of it is rich and shows how much he cares about the people around him and that’s what makes him such a great character. he doesn’t need hours of time to make a difference in the other characters around him, he does that naturally no matter what

I need people to understand that Commander Cody is not a top, he is a bottom. I always see fics portraying him as a top. nope. he’s also a bratty bottom GOOD DAY!

Also I really love, that someone decided to really dive into what happened after Order 66 and how everyone’s dealing with it, like with Andor and the Kenobi Series. Good idea. Very good.

destroyed by Commander Cody and how he had a mind control chip in his brain and yet he stayed soft. he lost every single thing that ever mattered to him in one fell swoop and he didn’t stop caring about his brothers or the citizens he’s supposed to protect.

he thinks he did Order 66 on purpose and he still chooses every single day to be a good person and to be better than that because that’s who he is. he’s good to the bone and he always has been and always will be. no matter what. it’s his core trait. and nothing can take that away no matter how hard someone tries. i’m in pain
