No there is no good fucking reason.

Some of you need to seriously consider how you talk about kids and teenagers, especially young females. You can’t call them foolish for making mistakes or oversensitive/overreactive and not think about what you’re projecting about yourself. Sorry Andi Mack, Elena Cañero-Reed, Riley Matthews, Julie Molina, Monse Finnie, Anne Shirley Cuthbert, Katara, Nini Salazar Roberts and every female protagonist of a TV show isn’t up to your impossible standards but they’re still kids (the hell most adults don’t have an inch of the emotional intelligence some of these characters have) and they are not supposed to be perfect. And if you really get down to it, most hated female characters are those of colour and then it truly hits you. Our society is so deeply rooted in misogyny and racism and it shows in such a painfully obvious fashion. Don’t say you don’t like her because she did X or Y, just say you’re racist and misogynistic and move on.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS AN INFINITE NUMBER OF TIMES WORSE THAN IF THEY KNOCKED DOWN THE FUCKING STATUE OF LIBERTY TO MAKE SPACE FOR A NEW LANE IN A HIGHWAY. IF THEY TOOK THE NOTRE DAME APART.

Victorian government cut down a centuries old sacred tree today, hoping to use the announcement of easing lockdown as a smokescreen to divert attention from the fact they’re actively working to destroy living Aboriginal history so commuters can cut 3 minutes off their travel times

the true beauty of hannibal is that they managed to pull that script off. if someone came up to me and said “i find the trout to be a very nietzchean fish” i’d slap them in the face. but they put mads mikkelsen in a three piece suit and had him say that line and everyone, myself included, was like “wow. very compelling. what an excellent show. i will keep watching.”

i hope that people who leave rants in their tags, people who leave descriptions for their playlists, people who have funny titles for their essays, people who read aloud to themselves, people who giggle at their own jokes, and people who smile when they make eye contact with strangers are all having excellent days
