স্বপ্নের দীপ্তি ছুড়ে ফেলতে হলো গাঙে
ডুবে যায় ঊষার সাথে সূর্য-শুকতারা
নিভে যায় সব আলো, জোনাকি-চন্দ্র-তারা।

Dreams' lamp made to be thrown in the sea,
To drown with the dawn, sun and Venus
To dim with the light of the fireflies, moon and stars.
Spirited Away (2001) dir. Hayao Miyazaki
“You’ll ache. And you’re going to love it. It will crush you. And you’re still going to love all of it. Doesn’t it sound lovely beyond belief?”
— Ernest Hemingway

“Live in the sunshine. Swim in the sea. Drink the wild air.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
when the lovers lose love,
and it does happen-
it’ll be slow.
he will stop doing the little things,
she will stop caring as much.
she will convince herself that she’s fighting for herself,
and soon realize she has been fighting for him.
when the lovers lose love,
the people around them will be confused.
“you seemed so happy”
“what happened?”
“are you okay?”
when the lovers lose love,
she will cry herself to sleep.
she will second guess her decisions.
she will continue down the path of losing herself completely.
when the lovers lose love,
he will make excuses for the things he did,
he will sit alone and try to figure out a plan to grab her attention,
he’ll think of how it use to be.
when the lovers lose love,
it is sad.
but it gets better.
when the lovers lose love,
and it does happen-
it’ll be slow.
The Art of Memoir, Mary Karr
Dreams flooded over me; I lay weary and hopeless in my bed.
Franz Kafka
“It is well known that those in the grip of heavy enchantments can be wakened only by a lover’s touch. Those who seem dead, who are already returning to the earth, can be restored to life, quickened again by one who is warm. Then, it being night, and the twin stars of Castor and Pollux just visible in the sky, I spoke of that tragedy, of two brothers whose love we might find unnatural, so stricken in grief when one was killed that the other, begging for his life again, accepted instead that for half the year one might live, and for the rest of the year the other, but never the two together. So it is for us, who while on earth in these suits of lead sense the presence of one we love, not far away but too far to touch.”
— Jeanette Winterson, Sexing the Cherry

Nizar Qabbani once wrote There are some people that we didn't forget, but we don't smile anymore when they're mentioned.
Just like Ahmad Faraz said Ab tere zikr pe hum baat badal dete hain, kitni raghbat thi tere naam se pehle pehle
