re: your thoughts on legendaries (which is very cool and based) what’s your take on the differences between legends:arceus giratina and platinum giratina, especially since you defined them as hating the world? specifically the bit where giratina (at least seemingly) actively defended the world from cyrus trying to destroy it, after trying to do the same thing with volo’s help centuries prior?

Anyways, here’s my mad ramblings about Giratina and Arceus’s backstory.

Tldr: Giratina’s a conglomerate of angry souls scorned by Arceus.

How it Started.

The original one has chosen favorites over the passage of time. Heroes, legends, protagonists…

Arceus intervenes for those it loves, and the consequences of a god touching the mortal world is devastating in its entirety. One act of divine intervention causes entire civilizations to collapse. One whispered suggestion drives an entire legacy insane.

So Arceus, paralyzed by its love for the mortal world, acts very little, learning from its mistakes. Apathy soaks through every motion. And thus is the way of the world.

But people love the Originator. Religions are born from Arceus’s rare deeds, and generation on generation taught its benevolence. Imagine spending your entire life chasing after that golden light. Imagine knowing its real and there, and it loves you.

Imagine begging it for help, and seeing it turn away when you need it most.

I think those people would feel very abandoned indeed, if they spent their lives worshipping, and receiving no response at all.

Giratina is born from the abandoned, the lost, and the angry. They’re a hundred thousand souls who’s adoration turned to spite. They’re an entity who demands for Arceus to look at them, so they can finally rest.

Arcues can not look at them in full, because if it does Giratina will fade.

(Scio, beloved. For I can not let you go.)

So the Original One banishes the Unwanted Beast into the distortion world, and Giratina seethes, and starves, and screams.

(Here are two truths about the Beast Between Dimensions—

1. Some part of them still loves Arceus. Arceus is their anchor, after all— the sole reason why they exist, why they are. But Arceus can not love it back in a way that matters, and that hurts.

2. Giratina is made of a thousand voices. Some of these voices remember that there’s a world above. They miss it.)

Why Giratina attacked Hisui in PLA:

PLA Giratina’s not a new god, but they’re very, very bitter and barely coherent on a good day. Volo serves as a conduct to help unite the broiling mass of ghosts against Arceus, and thus Giratina’s hatred overcomes any flickering affections they have for the land.

It doesn’t help that Arceus intervened for Hisui, sending Akari to directly stop Volo from summoning Giratina.

(As for Volo, well.

Imagine being a child who was thrown into the future due to Palkia and Dialga’s fits, who learned his people (his world) no longer exist beyond a shadow in the history books and a single, bitter lore keeper.

Volo doesn’t remember his original culture beyond vague imprints and singing praises to Sinnoh, but he knew he was loved, and he knew his family is dust four hundred years in the past. There’s a special sort of rage in him that echoes Giratinas.)

(Why did you abandon my people, Arceus? What kind of god are you, to leave those who love you so callously behind?)

(Maybe some part of Giratina recognizes Volo, beyond a feeling of kinship.

Maybe some part of Giratina grieves because it recognized the child Volo was.)

When Volo gets his pound of flesh, (when he realizes Arceus is not beholden to him, that the inherent alien morality Arceus holds is not a personal slight), Giratina will finally rest.

Anyways what I’m trying to say is: Arceus is never a person, but a nebulous embodiment of the connection shared between pokemon and humans. It tries to experience what it’s supposed to embody, but millennia of watching people be and cease has given it choice paralysis, apathy, and a hoarding issue. If something lasts forever next to it? Good.

Giratina was once a person. (Correction, a LOT of persons.) They don’t think very linearly either, but they have context on mortal matters and are thus the more benevolent and malicious of the two. One day, time will smooth them into something like Arceus. We can only hope the two keep each other in check.

THE DIFFERENCE OF LEGENDS ARCEUS GIRATINA VS PLATINUM PEARL GIRATINA

If the ancient version of giratina is an angry conglomerate of ghosts scorned by Arceus, the modern iteration of Giratina’s a creature that’s more settled in its skin and more assured in its duties. Giratina still has beef with Arceus, but they unionized into one being who’s love of the mortal world has triumphed over its ancestral grudge. One might even postulate they have shifted their anchor from Sinnoh the god, to Sinnoh the place.

since ur doing requests, I was wondering if you would want to your head cannons for swsh characters!! for example I noticed hop has some scars so it would be cool if you would explain that aspect of his design ^^ Ty for ur time, ur art rocks btw!!

Ty for the compliment! I do have some swsh headcanons but they normally don't appear on the characters physical design, usually only being there in text (Funnily enough I actually draw this yesterday since I was trying to update some of my headcannons)

It's in no way canon but the scars are from the eternatus fight. Since Eternatus was overun with energy during the fight with it, i'd imagine it's attacks would leave some excess energy on who it attacked Honestly I don't know where I'm going with this, just thought it'd be cool if dynamax energy affected people too but in a different way than pokemon UHH TY FOR ASK! it's a bit of a weird hc

Intimidation moment

So I suddenly felt inspired to draw some more Ingo and Emmet stuff. But not the typical somewhat story driven angst comics I did previously. More like.. a “day-in-the-life-of” type deal. Like my Mario and Luigi content. I also wanted to draw some more expressions with the boys that weren’t twisted faces of tears and agony-

I also wanted to try to stay away from the hard angst this time. And just draw something that is overall pleasant. As I was sketching some ideas I realized that I never drew Elesa! Her fanon friendship with the twins seemed really fun to draw so I threw her in there too XD

I know nothing of Elesa’s canon personality so I just made it up entirely– <XD I pictured her being the mom friend who very dearly loves her two very tall sons.

As for the last bit. Uhg, well I tried XD I can never seem to fully separate myself from angsty stuff. But at least it was light and it had a funny twist at the end! :DD

Well maybe not for you, and that's valid, but for me it is.

Disclamer:this is MY personal exprience, i'm obviously not talking for all aroace and not everyone who's autistic is aro or/and ace, saying otherwise would be incredebly harmfull.

As an autistic person, my aromanticism and Asexuality are strongly linked to it. I however knew i was aroace before knowing i was autistic. The lack of attractions, romantic and sexual was the first indicator, but also the fact that i always felt better alone, being with people for too long is really draining to me. I hate being touched for too long, sleeping with someone in my bed is a pure nightmare, and living with someone constantly in my space is just unbearable for me. So in many way i'm not made to live with someone (romanticaly) for the rest of my days. Plus i also have ADHD and i have an organised mess that i love and hate when people tell me to clean up. I don't know if it's my autism or my aromanticism but it seem impossible for me to see real people as romantic partners, i don't really spot the difference btw Friends and Lovers.

I had a girlfriend for a whole year, we were long distance and i didn't know we were together before she called me her girlfriend to her dad...and idk since i wasn't seeing her IRL i just felt like i was playing a game yk? Like a virtual girlfriend or something, i didn't feel like i was with someone. I broke up when it started feeling too Real. I know it can sound really mean but it was genuinely how i felt, i couldn't help it , and i felt so bad, like i wasn't enought.

She was however aware of my asexuality and i think she was okay with it even if she did some sex jokes that made me sometimes uncomfy. My lack of sexual attractions started by "how could someone ever want to touche someone else like that in Real life?" For me it was something made up, that people weren't really doing but yeah.. it was Real and i was just ace. I'm not a touchy person, i hate being hugged for too long and it's even worst with people i don't really know. I hate the Idea of kissing someone, putting my lips against something else's lips? I would rather die. I hate not being in control and knowing that someone will have power over me, i hate knowing that someone could see me as a potential sexual partner, it always make me so fucking uncomfy, that's why it's hard for me to be friends with someone who have flirted with me.

I always thought i wasn't valid in my asexuality or aromanticism because i enjoy reading smut and romance but i learned (with the help of a big community) that it didn't mean anything and i was still valid asf, and so are everyone on the spectrum (asd&aroace).

I understand were people are coming from when saying that a disorder can't define a sexuality, because obviously not every autistic person is aro or/and ace, but personaly it definitly played a role in it. I would still be aroace without my autism but i would definitly see it differently. Everyone is unique and has their way of feeling their identity and telling them they're wrong because of personal belief would be stupid, if you're not causing any harm to a community or someone personnally then were is the issue?

Concept stuff for Pokemon Legends Arceus but like,,, alternate timeline?? Idk but I love it so much

You know how I said relations between the clans are strenuous at best? Yeah this is why. Noble Pokémon burdened with terrible might flee to other areas, their heightened power having catastrophic results. The wardens and the ride Pokémon relocate as well to best deal with the changing terrain, but the clans automatically assume the other stole the Pokémon, and the subsequent effects are Almighty Sinnoh “enacting justice”

Area breakdowns under the cut

Lady Liligant at the Obsidian Fieldlands, where the “blessing” from Giratina makes her presence enough to create an overgrown floral maze. This jungle is impossible to navigate without the grace of a dancer. Warden Ingo and lady Sneasler relocate to the fieldlands, where Sneasler’s claws allow her to scale the massive flowers and trees Liligant has created.

Lord Kleavor at the Coronet Highlands. Being so close to the distortion rift, and by proxy Giratina, Kleavor has power to cleave the entire mountain in half. Inside Mount Coronet, electromagnetic fields result in a strange gravity, with floating boulders and strange crystals. The state of this area seems to resonate with both Emmet and Ingo for some reason, but the latter cannot investigate due to his duties with Sneasler in the Fieldlands. Warden Mai and Wyrdeer have moved to the highlands, as Wyrdeer’s speed and jumping prowess proves useful in traversing the strange gravity and floating objects. This would be the last area Barry visits, due to how dangerous it is.

Lord Electrode in the Crimson Mirelands. Electrode’s electricity is nullified by all the mud and ground, but their grass typing is more than enough to make up for that. The ground types that otherwise would be super effective are sent running by electrode’s grass moves. They plant seeds almost like land mines, and upon triggering these seeds, huge vines will sprout in an explosion. These vibes rest in craters, and act as lightning rods. Electrode siphons the electricity from them to gather it’s own strength, even when surrounded by its weakness. Warden Calaba and Ursaluna have remained in the Mirelands, hoping that Ursaluna can dig up and remove Electrode’s roots before they sprout.

Lord Avalugg at the Cobalt Coastlands. The coast has frozen over, and Avalugg wades through the icy sea like an angry kaiju. Warden Sabi and Braviary relocate to the coast to keep close watch of Avalugg. With the sea frozen over, the safest way to reach him is by air.

Lord Arcanine at the Alabastar Icelands. In the confusion of Avalugg’s arrival, the Miss Fortune sisters nab Growlithe and flee to the Icelands, where lord Arcanine’s son follows in hot pursuit. After evolving the icelands begin to melt from Arcanine’s heat. The Pearl clan has relocated to Snowpoint Temple, the highest peak in the icelands, to escape the flooding. Warden Iscan and Basculegion accompany Palina to the icelands, which is largely underwater due to Arcanine’s heat. With the risk of catastrophic flooding imminent, Basculegion is necessary here.

TEMPLE OF SINNOH- A distorted mess of what it used to be. Shadows seem to move on their own and those who visit report the unmistakable feeling of being watched.
