It's one of those indi-shows where you need to go to this specific stream or to search in this specific album in this social media no-one unless they're russian knows about, to find the plot points and secrets about characters
It obviously started as a show with no big plot, now what they do usually is give signs and hooks to plot points (like the box-37 in episode 5 and then doing big reveal in the season final), but this season it's more about the details and thing that only "true"-fans know, like the fact that the "Hell" poll with a bike on it is important to Vicky's backstory
There's also an semi-canon sketch with all the characters that will be important to the story and the MCs, it was released even before the episodes 9 and 10 I believe. So the fans theories and basically trying to collect them all to connect the story by themselves
So unless you're this kind of fan or don't read enough theory-comments under the episodes, yeah, you just have to wait 'till the plot decides to appear
Metal Family is complicated due to not really having a plot? It releases incredibly irregularly due to originating in Russia which I fully understand that but…..other than establishing a back story for Glam it hasn’t firmly stated a real plot honestly which is fine but also i always wonder is there a plot? Will there be a plot?
Am I supposed to pay mind to the missing kids and the rusted locket or even Glam’s need to know exactly where his children are at all times?
Like okay maybe I want my goth metal centric shows to have plots or at least story structure. I blame this show for introducing it with Glam’s backstory episodes.
For anyone who's confused with my page☝️☝️☝️
im always like hehe im so smart i will avoid shame by never doing anything ever but then i feel ashamed of not living and it turns out i didn't escape any sort of discomfort i just traded it in for a less rewarding kind
when you keep yourself small all the time (swallowing the words you want to say, seeing everybody else as though they’re automatically above you, downplaying your feelings and achievements), the entire world will constantly be looming over you. that’s not the way to live your life. you’re supposed to be experiencing it, not be subjected to it. (this is your sign to take up more space)

i really hate the hurf durf positivity memes that are like *~you are not a burden~* 😌☺️🙏 bitch yes i am. taking care of sick people is hard. putting up with and organizing your life and tasks around people who take ten times as long and one hundred times as much energy to do simple tasks is HARD. never being on time, abandoning plans, leaving early, not eating normal food, these are all things that make everyone else's life harder. I'm a burden! the point is that humans carry their burdens and always have and the way the species is designed makes this not just ethical but beneficial materially to everyone. saying disabled people "aren't a burden" is just erasing all the work caretakers do to keep us alive. the point is that everyone is entitled to be a burden, and even if you are never sick a day in your life you will still spend years at either end of your brief stint on earth being bothersome to someone else. that's normal
This is the deeply homophobic + transphobic autocracy that tankies worship so much 😒
TALLINN, Estonia (AP) — The Russian Justice Ministry on Friday said it has filed a lawsuit with the nation’s Supreme Court to outlaw the LGBTQ+ “international public movement” as extremist, the latest crippling blow against the already beleaguered LGBTQ+ community in the increasingly conservative country.
The crackdown, which began a decade ago, slowly but surely chipped away at LGBTQ+ rights. In 2013, the Kremlin adopted the first legislation restricting LGBTQ+ rights, known as the “gay propaganda” law, banning any non-critical public depiction of “nontraditional sexual relations” among minors. In 2020, Putin pushed through a constitutional reform to extend his rule by two more terms that also outlawed same-sex marriage.
In 2022, after sending troops into Ukraine, the Kremlin ramped up its rhetoric about protecting “traditional values” from what it called the West’s “degrading” influence, in what rights advocates saw as an attempt to legitimize the war in Ukraine. That same year, the authorities adopted a law banning propaganda of “nontraditional sexual relations” among adults, too, effectively outlawing any public endorsement of LGBTQ+ people.
Another law passed this year prohibited gender transitioning procedures and gender-affirming care for trans people. The legislation prohibited any “medical interventions aimed at changing the sex of a person,” as well as changing one’s gender in official documents and public records. It also amended Russia’s Family Code by listing gender change as a reason to annul a marriage and adding those “who had changed gender” to a list of people who can’t become foster or adoptive parents.
“Do we really want to have here, in our country, in Russia, ‘Parent No. 1, No. 2, No. 3’ instead of ‘mom’ and ‘dad?’” Putin said in September 2022 at a ceremony to formalize Moscow’s annexation of four Ukrainian regions. “Do we really want perversions that lead to degradation and extinction to be imposed in our schools from the primary grades?”

A short list of things I think everyone should try or do at least once in their life that will make you feel more alive. Not all of these are applicable to every person, but it’s a summary:
Take a dance class of any style with a semi-serious instructor for at least 4 classes worth
Write a work of fiction, of *any* length and *any* quality
Learn a least a bit of a language that isn’t your native one. You don’t need to become anywhere near fluent, but try and get a bit beyond yes, no, and where’s the bathroom. If you’re from a country where most people are bilingual already, that doesn’t count! Get bits of a language with which you are truly unfamiliar.
In the same vein, make peace with subtitles and start consuming music, TV and movies from cultures that aren’t your own. If your country imports large amounts of media from a specific other culture or cultures (American movies in foreign markets, for example) that also doesn’t count! Get some feelers out to begin to take in content from a culture that you don’t already have a lot of knowledge of.
Try at least one less common/less “exercisey” and more fun type of physical exercise such as roller blading or roller or ice skating, gymnastics, trampoline, rock climbing, aerial silks, pole dancing, surfing, etc
Learn a hobby or craft that produces a physical finished product and produce a single, complete object - regardless of quality - that you can hold in your hands and say that you made.
Look up a how it’s made video or YouTube video on how an item that’s interesting or relevant to you is made
Give one type of thing - media, hobby, sport, whatever - that you’ve never been interested in or never tried because of some preconceived perception an honest shot and see if your perception was correct. Sometimes it won’t be, sometimes it will be, but it’s valuable to know.
Rearrange the furniture in a room in your home
It’s about NOVELTY, babey! Get some enrichment into your enclosure!
Posting a WIP to show my s2 Jon.
I think in s1 he straightens his hair and is usually clean shaven (maybe a little stubble after late nights). That shit goes out the window in s2 lol
