There was probably a point early on where Sanji was still new and ranting and raving about Zoro for some reason with a genuine sense of dislike. And Luffy overheard him and casually mentioned how the second time he met Zoro, the swordsman had eaten an onigiri that had been made of sugar and ground into the dirt, just to appease a small child.

And then Sanji didn’t mind Zoro so bad after that.
