💭 thoughtful...

My third drawing took a while to come out because I had a full-on mental breakdown over it 🥲… But hey, it has a happy ending !! Lemme tell you about it ! 🙂‍↕️

Everything was going "fine" until I got to the mouth. And… yeah, it was just awful. I still don’t know how to handle Sans’s "grin" (I totally get why some artists just ditch it lol), especially since I wanted a neutral, thoughtful expression. I kept redrawing it over and over, getting frustrated, and not understanding Erineas's advices she gaves me (ily so much sis thank you for your support).

I felt stupid. Incompetent.

I was sooo ashamed, was I really struggling this much just to draw something ugly !? Insecurities & impostor syndrome kicked in hard, bro. I cried and ignored the drawing for a few days.

But then, I talked to some IRL friends : one of them is an artist, and the other is like me, wanting to improve but struggling with self-doubt. After a long conversation, I felt better.

No, I’m not stupid or incompetent. I’m learning. My brain just hasn’t fully grasped the artistic logic yet. And that’s okay, that's NORMAL baby !!

Deep breath in… deep breath out… and back to work. After tons of tweaking, looking at more refs and some music, I’m finally happy to post it and satisfied with the result !

So yeah, don’t be hard on yourselves. Give yourself time, freedom, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. You’ll only be prouder of yourself in the end ! 🤎✨

how do you go about drawing the heftier skeleton body types so nicely? i want to draw bigger skellies but im not sure how to go about it!

I'm so sorry this is a bit late, but I hope it still helps in some way!

I heavily focus on the shapes as a foundation for my boys. I reference a lot of body types and anatomy! If you're looking to draw bigger skellies, I recommend finding a body type you like and studying what defines it; it doesn't have to be realistic (that can be a bit overwhelming) but finding a style you like and learning that way is much easier and is a simpler form.

For me, I like wide shoulders and large, comfy bellies--aka, the wonderful dad bod <3. So that' where my major shapes will be defined; I like to focus on points like the collar bone to help me build on the ribcages, and if I draw ecto, that tells me where the pecs should be, abdominal "muscles" and other lovable folds!

Most of the time, my guys are clothed, so I don't have to worry about bones. ;3

Everyone's interpretation for skellies is different, but the one thing that is universal, imo, is the use of shapes! That's where you want to start off and know that I'm encouraging you and rooting for you! <3

Esha wandered into that empty corridor, arms full of light crates, when a strange light caught her eye. A shimmer in the air, almost beautiful. (Too) curious, she stepped closer. One poorly placed step. She slipped. And when she opened her eyes… she was no longer on the station. Welcome to EM Field. How was the fall ?

Outer!Esha is the second Esha to have accidentally ended up in the EM Field (Underground) as an adult (alongside TS!US!Esha, aka Lady Spring).

She doesn’t have a very deep or complex lore compared to the other Eshas. Outer!Esha is mostly just an sweet version who’s enjoying her new life while waiting for the barrier to break !

She’s the only Esha who turned her singing talent into a profession.

She loves the zero-gravity effect of the EM Field and often floats to relax, admire the sky, and practice singing. It’s rare to see her walking.

Staying in the EM Field for over a year, regularly using her SOUL’s magic, and consuming local food gradually altered her appearance, especially her hair and eyes.

She’s the second extroverted Esha along with Fell, and one of the most similar one with the classic version.

She’s a popular crossover singer and idol, though not quite a mega-star and icon like Mettaton, of course. They’ve done a few collabs together.

Her main music genre is pop, but she likes trying out others like acoustic ballads, techno, rap, or electro-swing.

During performances, she dances while floating mid-air, with a few steps on the ground, making her shows quite fun to watch.

She’s passionate about her career and puts a lot of energy and stress into it, but does her best to make time for her friends.

Her star-shaped hairclip was a gift from Sans, so her hair wouldn’t fall in her face while she’s floating. She hasn’t taken it off since. ⭐

Her signature flower is clematis.
