The music I’m listening to is the best indicator of my mood and therefore whether it’s safe to interrupt whatever I’m doing. I think it’s hilariously accurate.
Heavy metal/screamo: maximum overdrive has engaged; speak to me at your own risk.
Hard rock: usual mood, but read facial expression and body language for further guidance. Proceed with caution.
Classic rock: chill mood, probably okay to approach and even joke around with me.
Trap music: either in the gym (speak for less than 30 seconds if you must speak at all) or at a party (safe to speak, even joke).
Alternative/other genres: probably pretty chill. Go ahead.
Life with 3 dogs, I tell ya! I don’t have much time for reading these days, but life, right now, is full of fluffy cuddles and tail wags. I wouldn’t have it any other way 😊
“I struggle with a lot of the books/youtube channels on this subject as they tend to relate to people that focus their entire life on sustainability, rather than people that incorporate sustainable habits into their normal life.”
^it’s about being mindful, not giving yourself grief every time you forget to bring a reusable cup with you. Love this.
Do you have any tips for someone who's interested in a more sustainable lifestyle but not sure where to start?
I would suggest spending a bit of time watching some youtube videos and reading some books about it. The book ‘Zero Waste Home’ by Bea Johnson is a good starting point, and the ebook is inexpensive. I will paste a link HERE to a list of youtube channels that talk about living low waste / sustainably.
When you are ready, you can start making small changes like carrying a water bottle or coffee cup, and buying products in less packaging.
Just remember that you don’t have to make every single change at once, and it’s also totally okay if there are certain changes that you don’t want to make at all. Use the resources for ideas/inspiration - not as an exact guide!

Small changes can still make a huge difference, don’t underestimate them :)
Hello guys! Sorry for the absence lately but I haven’t been feeling well. I am feeling much more anxious than usual, but luckily my spring break starts next week.
“Growing up, I always assumed I would go into space. But I knew full well that people expected me to behave a certain way. I bucked the system. I don’t want mothers sayin’ ‘put that mud down, stop doing the because you’re going to ruin your dress.’ You get dirty sometimes. Who cares? You cannot do some of these things and keep your hair all nice.”—Mae Jemison
Today’s TechMAKER reached for the stars and then some. Mae Jemison saw the gender and racial discrimination in space exploration, but that didn’t stop her from becoming the very first African-American woman in space.
