Today a student emailed over a draft of his essay on 1984 and had clearly used a thesaurus on every single word, and how I know this is because the the party slogan ‘Big Brother is watching you’ had become ‘Enormous Sibling is viewing you’ and I lauged so hard I cried

it’s time we start oppressing ppl that use the word “hubby”

Me: “I really need to save money.”

Bookstore: “Buy 99 books and get the 100th free!”

Me:

Doing HW: I hate physics I don’t wanna go to grad school

During Class: Tell me more about the math please I want to learn more thank you

Let us not forget the horrific tragedy that befell our country that day and the innocent lives that were lost.  Let us not embolden our enemy by allowing us to live in despair.  Let us prove that we are still the beacon of hope and liberty in the world that they envy and seek to destroy.  Let us not forget those that have sacrificed their lives to ensure those freedoms.  We are Americans.  We will not tremble.  We only overcome.
