Don’t ask me.
Important.
Hello ghost Tumblr. Happy trailer day. I know we're all very excited to see the trailer today and looking forward to make theories and talk about it.
But today I want to ask you a favor, dear ghost community. It's not much.
As we speak, Rafah is under heavy attack. Over 500 000 people are right now in Rafah without a place to go to. Right now people in Sudan and Congo are suffering. In this moment people in Brazil face a climate catastrophe.
Please do not stop talking about Palestine. Don't forget about Palestine. Don't forget about Congo, About Sudan. Don't forget to spread information and donations for the people affected by weather catastrophes in Brazil. Don't forget about Ukraine.
We as a ghost community habe the responsibility to stay educated and not stay silent about injustice in our world. Let's be there for the people who need our help and speak up for them.
Don't forget.
hi everyone, I checked in with Wafaa @hebsnhel yesterday and as you can also read from her latest updates on her blog (please follow her for her family's story and updates on the campaign!), her 5 year old granddaughter is extremely sick with Hepatitis, and has been in a high fever for the past 5 days. The recent surge in Hepatitis cases in Gaza is because of the lack of access to clean water and food, as well as the total lack of access to medication. Hepatitis, if left untreated, is extremely painful with frequent abdominal pain and high fevers, symptoms can last for months.
Wafaa has raised her campaign goal slightly because she is the sole financial provider for her family (of three generations, including 15 members) and not only does she have to pay for her own food and lodging, but also buy milk, food, water, diapers for her newborn grandson, and pay land rent for the tents.
Please please continue to support Wafaa in her continued hope to reunite with her family, her beloved children and her grandchildren.

This is a collection of links to various posts concerning fundraisers I've vetted and instructions on how to submit fundraisers to me. These are primarily ones for Ghazzan families although some fundraisers for Sudanese families are also listed (I'm more familiar with my own country's politics and dialect and am more capable of vetting fundraisers for Palestinians as a result). Each post will have a time stamp indicating the latest date of update. And fundraisers will have colour-coded disclaimers according to the particularities of their case.
I know that people do not like clicking on links or navigating between posts, but please actually look through these posts and choose a fundraiser to donate to. Please.

Basem Al-Khandaqji, a Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jail, has won the International Prize for Arabic Fiction for his book, "A Mask, the Color of the Sky," which is about a Palestinian who takes on an Israeli’s identity.
He was unable to recieve the Prize as he was jailed for three life sentences from back in 2004. The person who recieved the reward on his behalf says Khandaqji smuggled the book out of jail page by page so as to avoid the suspicion of Israeli jailers.
The book is about a Palestinian archeologist who assumes an Israeli's identity after finding the Israeli's identity card in an old coat. Nur, the Palestinian, becomes the Jewish Israeli "Ur," and he travels through society to explore his occupiers way of life.
Israel has refused to allow Al-Khandaqji the cash prize, as they claim payment for terrorists is forbidden. However, the fact that Basem won this prize, which is called the "Arabic Booker" is outstanding in itself, considering the lengths he went through to write and publish the book.
This book is a testament to Palestinian resistance and art, showing the lengths Palestinians go through to make their voices heard, and the excellence of their crafts.

Wafaa @wafa-nahll: A grandmother working tirelessly across three platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Tumblr) to raise money for her family. Her last tumblr account was shadowbanned. Her goal is €50k.
@journalsforpalestine is running a raffle for Wafaa.
Siraj @siraj2024: A father of three young children who lost their home and now have to live in what he describes as a "convection oven". His family has narrowly survived two massacres in the past week. Help them rebuild their home. His campaign has been moving at a glacial pace recently. His short term goal is $10K USD, he ultimately needs $60k USD.
Shahed @shahednhall: A college student and photographer. She lost her friend and their entire family, and her sister, like many Gazan children, has contracted hepatitis. Her urgent short term goal is $30k USD and she is far from it.
@journalsforpalestine is running a raffle for Shahed.
Khaled @khaled_1995__b on Instagram: A young father who has experienced unimaginable tragedy over the past several months. He and his pregnant wife left to Egypt for Mecca shortly before the Oct 7. After giving birth to their baby, Kamal, she passed away. Now, their two year old son, Majd, along with his grandmother and the rest of their family, are stuck in North Gaza. Majd is facing malnutrition. Their goal is $35k USD.
Motasem @motasem1256 on Instagram: A young father from North Gaza whose son was born in the genocide. Every day he updates his followers on new destruction and misery he encounters. He frequently posts about wanting to die. His goal is currently $20k USD but will likely increase as things change.
🕯 "To all those who died alone in the Russian occupation". Muzychi village, Kyiv region
These are the words on the tombstone that stands on the grave of the mother of Ukrainian artist Alevtina Kakhidze. The artist installed it in 2021. This memorial project consists of six marble doors that replicate the location of the doors in the house of Alevtina's mother, known as Klyubnyka Andriivna, in the village of Zhdanivka, Donetsk region, as well as concrete porch steps recreated in real life. When the war in eastern Ukraine broke out, the artist's mother was unable to leave her home despite her daughter's persuasion. Alevtina dedicated a series of works to her mother, which were shown at exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Kakhidze's mother died in 2019 - her heart stopped while crossing one of the checkpoints controlled by the militants of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic". She was buried in the Kyiv region.
This is not the kind of message that children should receive from their parents "If we are killed, all the documents are in the basement."
This is what I mean when I say that we cannot negotiate and freeze the conflict. Because children from the occupied territories, who are now 14-17 years old, will be fighting against us in five years.
Don't be indifferent. Make Russia pay. Please hear our cry out to the world, keep spreading our voices, and donate to our army and combat medics (savelife.in.ua, prytulafoundation.org, Serhii Sternenko, hospitallers.life, ptahy.vidchui.org, and u24.gov.ua).
