Reblog this on the first of the month for good luck all month long!
TIL that the reason lead levels in children’s blood have dropped 85% in the past thirty years is because of an unknown scientist who fought car companies to end leaded gasoline. He also removed it from paint, suggested its removal from pipes, and campaigned for the removal of lead solder from cans.

The neurodivergent urge to do this
to anyone who missed it:
blorbo - a favourite character
glup shitto - star wars names are fucking nonesense
eeby deeby - youre going to hell
plinko horse - a horse that was stuck in a plinko board
scrimblo bimblo - super smash bro fans can be very angry when characters aren't in a game
genuinely is my brain erasing itself or is google/tumblr censoring that post about notre dame and old growth forests.
I luckily haven't had to deal with much chronic pain or hand pain yet, especially with regards to baking (crochet is another story). That said, these look like some pretty solid tips! There's also some in the comments section.
*the purpose of this list is to provide several places to get you excited about some of the green lanterns you will get to know, so you feel it's worth it to invest your time into reading longer arcs/books. this is not meant to be an exhaustive list as "every single good green lantern story in existence"
mosaic world (green lantern (1990) #14-17 + green lantern mosaic (1992) #1-18; a guardian of the universe, driven mad by loneliness, kidnaps john stewart and begins terraforming oa by kidnapping entire cities from planets all across the galaxy)
emerald twilight (green lantern (1990) #48-50; origin of parallax. you can get away with not knowing the death of superman because of doomsday in the 1990s, but it provides a lot of context regarding why coast city specifically)
green lantern: circle of fire (2000) [reading order found here; the world is attacked by a mysterious figure known as oblivion, can kyle, along with other green lanterns from divergent timelines, defeat him]
green lantern corps: recharge (2005) #1-5 [i know i know it's written by geoff johns and this is following hal's "redemption arc" but there are legitimately good kyle & guy & kilowog moments in this limited series; as well as the first appearance of soranik, a doctor from korugar, struggling between her duty to her patients as a doctor and her duty to protect the greater community if she accepts the power ring]
the omega men (2015) #1-12 [this is a controversial pick, but i do stand by it because it offers a surprisingly thoughtful critique of the military industrial complex and how even after kyle telling his experiences on vega to the general, he still lauds him as a hero, oblivious to what kyle is trying to say. in my mind this is one of the better written stories of kyle as the white lantern]
far sector (2021) [a 12 issue mini-series featuring sojourner mullien, as much a detective as she is a gl, solving a murder that threatens the harmony of the planet she's stationed on]
