"Dear future kids, fortunately I have met your mother. Unfortunately we will be embarrassing you daily."
Gojo Satoru laughed on the screen as he steadied the phone, and you were hanging off his arm. A bright smile on your lips.
Your youngest kid pressed the replay button.
"Dear future kids, fortunately I have met your mother. Unfortunately we will be embarrassing you daily."
He pressed it again after the video played all the way through.
"Dear future kids, fortunately I have met your mother. Unfortunately we will be embarrassing you daily."
Again-
"Stop that."
Your eldest snatched up the phone from his younger brother's grasp.
"H- hey! Give that back! Give that back to me!"
"Mom and dad died in Shibuya. So, no matter how many times you watch these stupid videos, they aren't coming back."
His little brother's lips quivered, "j- just give it back."
He looked down at him for a moment before heaving a sigh. And ever so slowly, he sat down next to him on the couch and held the phone up for the both of them.
The replay button was pressed again.

The clock showed 11:40 pm. The wine glass on the nightstand probably had just a drop left. This was his chance to let loose and unwind, like he did almost every night.
"Let’s get married."
Those words instantly caught his attention; his tired eyes now focused intently on her. a look of calm indifference, but you could see his eyes grow alert for just the slightest of moments. He wasn't sure if she was messing around or if she was being serious.
Upon noticing Nanami's increasingly tense and serious expression, she paused, hesitant to continue speaking. Her voice lowered, and got softer.
"Kento, don't you think we've been dragging this out for too long? Let's take things seriously. It's been two years," she said, pouting as she crawled closer to him. Sitting beside him, she cradled his arm close to her chest.
Nanami slowly closed his book, his mouth slightly agape as he searched for the right words.
"I..." He looked down, feeling unprepared for her question. He hadn't anticipated her asking at this moment; he had been waiting for the perfect time, which this wasn't. He was constantly occupied with work, almost always busy. You could tell just by looking at him, he was clearly exhausted.
She was waiting for him to finish. But he didn’t. He looked dumbfounded. She felt more and more insecure by the moment.
“Kento?”
His eyebrows furrowed, and he inhaled deeply before speaking, gathering his composure.
When you didn't say anything else, he sighed and went back to his book. "Why would you even suggest something silly like that?" He said bluntly.
"I... Hey! It's not 'silly.' I'm serious, Kento," she insisted, her voice tinged with desperation as she frowned at him.
He let out an exasperated exhale, tapping his finger on the page of his book, his expression once again downcast.
"Usually, it's the man who suggests such a thing. It's not your place to be proposing that, Y/N," he responded, his tone firm.
"Oh, but I'm tired of waiting. I can't take it anymore-" she began.
Nanami suddenly slid his arm out of her embrace, causing her eyes to widen in surprise.
"Are you clueless or something? I'm barely ever home. How would that work out?" he questioned, his tone tinged with frustration.
"Quit," she said almost immediately.
He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, visibly annoyed.
"I won't," he replied firmly.
"Kento. If you want to continue this, you should make more time for your future wife," she insisted, her tone a mix of frustration and longing. He remained silent for a while, still staring down at the page of his book.
"Find someone else to fulfill your needs, I suppose," he finally said, his words cutting through the air.
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. How could he say something like that? Her eyes now glistened with moisture, on the verge of tears.
"You're crazy," she said, her voice cracking with emotion.
"I'm not. I'm being logical,"
The sound of tears hitting the mattress caught his attention, prompting him to look up at her. Seeing her crying, he grunted and closed his book abruptly, setting it to on the nightstand. Regret flooded in as he realized he didn't want her to leave him.
"I’m sorry.” He whispered, reaching out to hold her close. He didn’t want her to leave.
