The way so many of the characters this episode had story beats dealing with their inner child was something so powerful to see:
Roy receives an endearingly childish shirt from his niece, which he wears and is then told that he looks happier than ever in it — and then proceeds to tell Keeley how he feels in said shirt
Rebecca is about to have a panic attack, visualizes her inner child in her place, and then works herself through the anxiety, choosing to go to the meeting because that child deserves to stand up for herself
Nate looks through his childhood things, plays the violin, and learns that all along his dad was really proud of him and just wanted him to be happy — and then he does a kind gesture for Will
Keeley reminds Rebecca that all of the men in the meeting were once little boys, and like the mirror scene, this allows her to appeal to the boys inside all of those men as she stands up to them
At one point or another, each of the characters were just kids who had all these hopes and dreams, but life happens and we all deal with shit, but by confronting the wounds they faced in their childhood and healing their inner child — the characters are allowed to grow and move on
I had to drop everything and make a comic based on this post by @pointycorgiears

On Luffy's birthday, I wanna remind all of you that one of the things that makes him one of the most influential and ground-breaking shonen protagonists is that he makes things happen. No fate or prophecy or destiny leads his path. He's the one choosing, freely, what he wants to do and he will do it. And in consequence, he makes things happen in the manga that affect everybody around him. The story doesn't tell him what to do and instead, he is the one telling how the story should go. That and the fact that his whole character is meant to spread the message of following your dreams and living with laughter and joy are the reasons why celebrating his existence is so important to so many.
MANIFESTING Barbie Movie having a horrifying Truman Show-esque plot twist. I want this to be our generation’s The Planet Of The Apes’s Statue Of Liberty Moment. Give me a Matrix plot line
I want Barbie 2023 to be fun and glittery and silly and to give me nightmares
and when they both win emmys for playing the most grief stricken little guys you’ve ever seen in your life

It's hilarious when people are like "taylor swift's songs are engineered to be as generically relatable as possible" because then you actually listen to the songs in question and she's just like
"I am a SELF-DESTRUCTIVE MONSTER who ruins everything I touch, I MANIPULATED everyone into liking me, my potential has been WASTED due to circumstances of MY OWN CREATION, I go back to an EMPTY HOUSE because everyone in my life has moved on, I am a BLEEDING OPEN WOUND, all my kindness is really just NARCISSISM IN DISGUISE, I will BREAK MYSELF FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT, I STARVED MYSELF in order to be saved by an idealised romance, I can go ANYWHERE except for THE PLACE I CALLED HOME, I will SPIRAL UNCONTROLLABLY if left to my own devices, I AM THE INSTRUMENT OF MY OWN DESTRUCTION, THIS WAS INEVITABLE"
