Driving a car may mean that you get into an accident, but it does not mean that you should be denied medical treatment for your ongoing medical condition because you chose to drive a car knowing what could happen.
Smoking a pack a day for decades may mean that you get lung cancer, but it does not mean that you should be denied medical treatment for your ongoing medical condition because you chose to smoke knowing what could happen.
Going outside may mean that you have a piano fall on you, but that does not mean that you should be denied medical treatment for your ongoing injuries simply because you chose to go outside knowing what could happen.
Having sex may mean that you are impregnated, but that does not mean that you should be denied an abortion for your ongoing medical condition (and yes, it is a medical condition) because you chose to have sex knowing what could happen.
Actions have potential consequences, but if those consequences are ongoing, one does not have to suffer them regardless of how they got in the situation because ongoing actions require ongoing consent. There are literally no other cases where we expect people to suffer terminable medical conditions because of how they got themselves into the situation. We do not ever punish people with forced medical conditions for any reason. We treat people when they want to be treated, regardless of why they’re in need. -V
This is just... disgusting. Ugh.
Today I shut my cat in the fridge.
Okay, so here’s the deal. Tali loves the fridge. I don’t know why, but every single time we open it, she bolts for it and jumps in. She crawls into the back of the fridge and nestles int the smallest little corner she can. Now naturally, my biggest fear has been that I’ll close the fridge without knowing she’s in there. And of course, today I went to go grab my Brita filter to pour myself some water. I wasn’t really watching the fridge, and I just opened and closed it really quickly to put the Brita back while I was looking somewhere else. And then I looked around and realized that Tali had been in the kitchen, and now she was nowhere in sight. So immediately, I throw open the fridge door, and there is is, hanging out in the back, content as can be.
Here’s a wild notion! Consent is not consent when you pressure someone into saying “yes.” Consent is not consent when someone agrees to something solely because you won’t stop bothering them about it. Consent is not consent when someone says “yes” just to get you to be quiet. Consent is not consent when someone says “yes” to something they consistently said “no” to before, and are now only saying “yes” because you refuse to accept no for an answer.

I want a movie about a guy who runs for president and wins but then suddenly realizes that he doesn’t want to be president, so he just starts doing ridiculous things all the time trying to get impeached, but it NEVER WORKS because they always miraculously end up being the right thing to do. Like, he declares war on Canada? Next day it turns out that Canada had secret plans to nuke Washington. he bans Doritos? Turns out theyr’e the number one cause of cancer and natural disasters. He sends his vice president to jail? Turns out the VP was a terrorist in disguise. He has 100% approval rating, most popular president ever.
Rest in Peace Alan Rickman. You will be missed greatly.
Just remember. There is no such thing as a fake geek girl. There are only fake geek boys. Science fiction was invented by a woman.
