Here are some theories from house of sky and breath and acotar. So spoilers for that

-Hunts father is either a thunderbird or a prince of hel

-Rhysands last name is actually Daanan

-The fae shifters come from Aelins world

- The starborn fae originate from the dusk court, the dusk court being the prison in acotar

-The people who where turned to stone in the prison where turned to stone by the asteri during the war between the asteri and the fae

-The horn is the 4th object in the death trove

- Theia was either the queen to the high lord of the prythian or the high Lady of the dusk court (prince pelias is the general in both of these theories)

-There are more then 7 asteri and we know them by different names in different books for example the valg kings sound a lot like the asteri

-Amren is one of the asteri, she is often described as a monster confined to a body similar to the asteri she could also maybe be a Thunderbird

-The asteri killed Sirius because she started to see the wrong in her actions

-Sirius fell in love with a starborn fae (one that was fighting against the asteri) and they had a kid and that's how Thunderbirds became a thing

-The wolf in the tank (one of the mysics) is Ithans mate

House of Sky and Breath : Theory 1

Spoilers after the cut

Theory 1 : Spell-Made Mating Bonds

Starborn power originated in Dusk Court and migrated to Day Court.

- Dusk Court confirmed in HOSAB, birthplace of Theia and Starborn powers. 8th Court of Prythian that is now the island that is the Prison.

- Pegasus confirmed in ACOSF (p.420) migrated from the Prison to Day Court.

House Of Sky And Breath : Theory 1

Lucien and Bryce have the Starborn powers found in Dusk and Day Courts.

- Feyre glows after sex with Rhys and they comment that that's a power she inherited from the Day Court.

- Bryce also glows after sex with Hunt.

- Lucien's father is Helion, High Lord of Day Court. It can be assumed that he's inherited some of his Starborn/Day Court powers.

House Of Sky And Breath : Theory 1

A precursor to Lucien/Elain and Hunt/Bryce mating bonds is a dangerous situation and a burst of light.

House Of Sky And Breath : Theory 1

Elucien and Quinlar mating bonds have scents that are noted.

- Typical mating bonds scents aren't noticeable till after the bond is accepted.

- Azriel is bothered by Elucien's mating bond scent, no one elses.

- Ruhn remarks on Quinlar's mating bond scent, after the flash of light in the Bone Quarter.

Lidia Cervos deserves the world and I will not elaborate

Actually, yes I will

(Huge spoilers ahead. Don’t read until you’ve finished HOSAB. Also, there are spoilers in the tags)

Lidia Cervos Deserves The World And I Will Not Elaborate

When Lidia was still Day and I read this, two things happened. First, the thought that Day = Lidia crossed my mind because of her thing with Pollux. And two, assuming that she was indeed Lidia, my heart fucking shattered because it meant that the poor woman had been putting up with a disgusting asswhole for the sake of learning information and passing it along for the greater good. And I was right.

Lidia Cervos Deserves The World And I Will Not Elaborate

This is just so fucking sad. Lidia had to picture Ruhn every time she slept with Pollux because she had no other way to endure it. Yes, their sex was consensual, but to a higher more spiritual level it didn’t feel like it. My heart completely broke for her at this and I’m so happy she’s got someone as caring as Ruhn in her life now. This whole scene was so bittersweet and Ruhn was the most attentive lover.

Lidia Cervos Deserves The World And I Will Not Elaborate

What Ruhn says here basically confirms what I thought—Lidia put herself through all of that for the bigger cause. I’m convinced that story she told Ruhn about the witch turned monster was in fact about herself. As Day, she kept telling him how she felt authentic with him and how he reminded her that there was good in the world. This is how that story ended:

Lidia Cervos Deserves The World And I Will Not Elaborate

And lastly, I’m 100% sure we’ll get a scene in the next book with either Lidia or Ruhn (or both) beating the shit out of Pollux like he deserves. That’d be super hot ngl.

Lidia Cervos Deserves The World And I Will Not Elaborate

I wanted to put this out there because I’m sure we’ll eventually get the usual “but Lidia is evil!1!” comments and I just needed to remind you that Lidia is a victim. Just like Hunt did questionable things when he answered to others, so did Lidia. Y’all aren’t about to vilify women for the same stuff men do, and when they do it they’re just “misunderstood” and they’re considered “hot morally-grey characters”. Not on my watch.

Plus in Sarah’s most recent live, she talked about how she loves writing those morally-grey characters. She says there are good people, like Hunt, who are forced to do terrible things and live with the consequences, but they’re not villains.

I’m confident this is the case with Lidia, so protect her at all costs 🗣🗣🗣

HOSAB x ACOSF - Amren & Fury

The comment that Amren and Fury have a very similar look - has me thinking about the possible connection between these two characters. I suspect it might be a seed SJM planted to connect their origin story.

First Amren....

We know that Amren is a being from another world. Her species was created by young gods - and they served as the soldiers for these young (and vengeful) gods. When Amren revealed her true form at the end of the ACOTAR trilogy - she is described as a firey-being with wings. This description is similar to an "Old Testament" Angel. The insanely powerful and wrathful archangels that rain down sulfur and brimstone - and wipe out entire civilizations.

We know from CC2 that the Asteri created the angels...and that they went through several prototypes of powerful "winged warriors" before getting to the angels that we have in Crescent City today.

I speculate that Amren (and her brothers and sisters), were one of the angel prototype species that were created by the Asteri, when they ruled over another planet in the universe. They were likely a prototype to the powerful archangels that rule over Crescent City, today.

I also thought it was telling, when the IC first saw Bryce at the townhouse...and Amren (Amren!?!?) jumped out of her skin. This is really out of character for her. Amren is unflappable. She's old as Hel....she's seen it all. There is no reason why she should be startled by an unknown Fae Female (even if covered in blood), while the rest of the IC's reaction remains pretty chill.

I think Amren reacted the way she did because she scented the blood - and immediately recognized it as Angel Blood. A blood type that likely smells very similar to that of her own kind. It would be a shock to smell a blood type of a species that by all accounts doesn't exist in your world...and one you hadn't scented for over 15,000 years.

Now, Fury....

We know that Fury does work for the Asteri, but that she's also an Independent Agent. The Asteri don't really seem to be in full control of Fury. This means she's either got leverage on them or enough power that she scares them a bit.

TBH...I think it's a mix of both.

Fury's power is currently unknown. But the way it's referenced is very similar to that of Amren. While people don't know exactly what she is - they do know she's super powerful. It's also a level of power that makes other super-powerful characters wary enough of her.

I think it's possible that Fury is the same species/comes from the same origin world as Amren. She is one of these original "Old Testament" angels, that was created as a "warrior" for the Asteri. And similar to her "sister" Amren she fell through a portal into the world of CC - where she coincidentally bound herself in a very similar looking humanoid form so that she could function and operate within the social constructs of this new world.

I suspect that the Asteri and Fury both know what each other are.

Fury is well aware that the Asteri are the same deities/creator-gods/masters of her homeworld. This is likely why she works for them. There may still be a part of her that feels that is her duty. She was created to be their vengeful warrior.

However, this is also what gives Fury leverage on the Asteri in CC. She is one of the few people who knows what they are and what they're doing to the citizens of this world.

As for Fury's power....Amren, when released had enough power to wipe out whole armies. If provoked, I think Fury could cause permanent harm to the Asteri, likely even killing 1-2 of them, before they were able to put her down. I think the Asteri created this "Old Testament" Angel species with a dangerous amount of power - never thinking that they might turn that power against their creators.

I also like the idea of Fury having the fiery power of an "Old Testament" Angel - because of her promise to one day burn down the meat market, for June.
