i’m 100% certain the only reason sirius black didn’t burn the whole world to the ground after marlene mckinnon’s dead, the love of his life’s dead, was the fact that suddenly his godson, the son of james potter, his one true soulmate (platonic or not, idc), was in immediate danger and he would’ve done anything to protect him, including swallowing his own grief.

people will see a fandom thing and be like "why isn't this a fanfic" "why is there no fanfic about this" my brother in christ, because you're not writing it

i like to think we all have trouble fan casting sirius black because we all agree he is too perfect to be real.

i picture marlene being tall, with a small frame, but oh so mighty.

sirius was genuinely shocked the first time he saw her throw a bludger at yaxley's head and send him to the medical wing with a fractured skull.

sometimes you write things for the plot, the drama, the twist. other times you write because you need someone to do it.
