Marauders in their 20's! Forgot to post this heree
lily evans (photographer, james potter’s girlfriend): if it weren’t for marlene i wouldn’t be here, to be honest. she introduced me to them. she was the reason i trusted them. god, the sacrifices she made… for them breaking up was the only thing that made sense at the time, the least they could’ve done.
okay, hear me out…
a story written in interview format where famous rock band ‘marauders’ explain once and for all why they broke up back in 1981 following the dead of, according to the media at the time, a random groupie.
james, remus and peter have all lost contact with lead singer sirius black.
where is he now?
is he still alive?
and who was the groupie and why did it matter so much as to mark the end of such a promising band?
marlene mckinnon’s name will haunt the narrative much as she did when she was alive.
(i blame daisy jones and the six for this and damiano david cover of ‘ella baila sola’ cause don’t tell that isn’t sirius singing about marlene)
casual reminder that sirius black’s last words to his godson were “harry, take the prophecy, grab neville and run!”.
it’s not mistaking harry for james, as the movies showed. and the last words he ever uttered were a taunt, daring bellatrix to do better.
in the heat of the battle, sirius ensured harry and neville were well out of the line of fire before jumping into the fray himself—he died knowing he’s kept harry safe until the very end as best as he could.
La versión en español ya está arriba aquí.
Ok, so I lied. Yup. Couldn't wait a whole week 'cause I'm unable to fully concentrate on writing the next chapters if I'm constantly picking and editing the previous one when I know, in my heart, they're ready.
The first two chapters are really short and are a bit like a teaser anyway. You can read them both here.
And that's all I have to say for now, other than I hope I manage to capture your attention ;)
marlene mckinnon rolling her eyes in disgust every time she hears someone describe their crush by their physical appearance only, then proceeding to fall in love with the hottest wizard in the whole castle.
in marlene’s defense, his face was his least attractive quality.
this is fully contemporary but don’t tell me blackinnon wouldn’t be this intense and always trying to put as many acrobatics as they could into anything they come up with 👀
i’ve been consuming too much ballet series/films/videos to the point i’m like crap, i need to write the whole thing know.
specially when i come across moments where i think that’s so blackinnon/marlene/sirius coded 🫠
sirius stole one of marlene’s rings and wears it on his pinky. marlene stole one of sirius’ and wears it on her thumb.
instead of ai writing stories i need technology that i can plug into my brain at night so it can turn all those sleepless thoughts into actual words on a screen so i could potentially write more efficiently, thank very much.
also no stealing from my brain.
ballet academy au | blackinnon edition
sirius thought if he got away from any trouble inducing situations like, say, a party on the rooftop of the academy, then he couldn’t get in trouble, much less get suspended for it.
except he realized too late that he was the only kid on the academy that had a copy of the master key that gave access to the rooftop and, unfortunately, someone had stole it from his locker. he checked.
that was what he was doing when he caught sight of marlene dancing on her own late on a friday night.
he had been dancing long enough with her for him to realize there was more to her talent than just very calibrated movements and long beautiful lines.
there was some kind of pent-up emotion running wild somewhere under the fiber of her muscles. it was only watching from afar that he managed to put a finger on it.
and when she had dance adding a pirouette just as he had told her, he saw it coming to life in front of him.
that thing beneath her skin.
—that was a good suggestion, ever thought about teaching?
he thought he was alone, but when he lifted his head, caradoc was looking at him.
—i barely make it as student as it is.
—not for lack of talent.
it was the closest thing to a compliment he ever heard from the man.
—you should be careful though, sort out your feelings.
sirius was not quite sure what caradoc meant, was he merely talking dancing?
—sort out my feelings mister i-don’t-care-what-either-of-you-do? perhaps you should sort out yours, maybe take this to dinner? see where it might take us?
he could’ve swear he almost saw caradoc smile, faintly.
—just be careful, black.
confusion didn’t sit right with sirius, so when caradoc left him, he did the only thing that could help: he danced alone in the studio on a friday night.

‘Come on, Ginny’s not bad,’ said George fairly, sitting down next to Fred. ‘Actually, I dunno how she got so good, seeing how we never let her play with us.’ ‘She’s been breaking into your broom shed in the garden since the age of six and taking each of your brooms out in turn when you weren’t looking,’ said Hermione from behind her tottering pile of Ancient Rune books. 'Oh,’ said George, looking mildly impressed. 'Well, that’d explain it.'
