Inspiration? For me?
After years of observing these caddisfly larvae, French naturalist and artist, Hubert Duprat, wondered if the caddis flies would use any materials to build their cocoon. He introduced flakes of gold, pearls and opals to the caddis flies and they did in fact use them for their cocoons. They use their own silk as the glue to hold their pupal constructions together.

Skywing Gladiator Helmets Part 2:
Part 1 + Lore behind these helmets, and why Skywings incorporated them in the arena!
Had way too much fun with the first batch of Skywing helmets, so now we have a baker’s dozen of them! Love drawing armor, even tricky ones like these guys are.
Average Skywing head base/measurement for Helmets:
Beautiful. This could be pretty accurate if you’ve make both limbs from the bones of one limb too
Pegasus! Pegasaur, rather. I wanted to design something more...structurally and anatomically sound than a horse with wings stuck on, and this is what I came up with. I try to not worry about that sort of thing in my worldbuilding for sagaverse, really I do, but the ghost of speculative biology haunts me still.
(Yes, he can walk on his wings. He's like a suped up pelican from hell, if a pelican was maybe also a lizard. And a horse.)
