Since yesterday was a post about young leftists I’d like to make an appreciation post for older leftists <3
This is to all the indigenous peoples who have been fighting against capitalism and colonialism for hundreds of years. To the adults teaching kids and teens in their area about direct action. This is to all the leftist theorists that gave us a basis to learn from, the activists that gave young people protections to keep fighting for equal rights, the teachers and speakers out there making leftist theory accessible, and the adults helping back youth led movements to keep kids safe.
To everyone past and present who has and is fighting for a better world, thank you!
It has been amazing to see how aids has been controlled, definitely a win for humanity
You know we only ever really "learn" how to bathe in our youth as it is taught to us by our parents and from then on most people kinda just bathe the same way right. And like barring actively deciding to do it the only way most people change their bathing habits is if they bathe with a loved one and get convinced to do somethi g different in the bath bc its cleaner/faster/whatever bc of them. Ok heres the thesis statement. The lack of communal bathing in society is holding us back from discovering The Ultimate Bathing
redditors will be like "i have le cursed internet knowledge" and that knowledge is like. being vaguely aware of what furries are and making a big production out of gawking and going "errm wgat the heck is this weird crap"
One really fun aspect of conversation about the water crisis that faces the American West (and genuinely much of the world) is when people ask something along the lines of “how do we solve it?” and expect this glorious answer that fits in the mindset of infinite growth or that doesn’t change the way the current world works and then you have to hold their hand and watch the light drain from their eyes as you tell them that our system is not sustainable which is why we’re in a crisis and it will take using less and drastically changing our habits or risk the consequences of running out of water and that this is the direction that we’re heading into in terms of all our resources
lmao elon posted that crying anime woman meme and the mangaka behind it demanded he pay them a billion dollars for the licensing
