Tell me what makes you think that any non-Black person can relate to ‘Almeda’, and the feeling of their religion being deemed ‘heathenish’ and ‘godless’ and washed away by slavery. Tell me what non-Black people can listen to ‘F.U.B.U’ and relate to a single thing Solange mentioned in that song. Tell me what a non-Black person is supposed to get from ‘Don’t Wish Me Well’. From ‘Don’t Wait For Me’? ‘Cranes in the Sky’? 

Tell me what makes you think that you have any right to tell Black people what and what they can’t share. There are plenty of lil’ non-Black people whispering over lazy beats for you to relate to —you gotta be really in your feelings to get upset about Black people on the internet holding tight to albums that were made for us, by us. Palestinian game developers are no different in this aspect, but have the added challenges of limited access to basic services, like clean water, electricity, medical care, and food security. They live under Israeli authority that discriminates and subjugates Palestinians to the point of persecution and apartheid, simply for being Palestinian. Furthermore, they develop games without all the resources that come with being in a western hub for game development.

Palestinian game developer Rasheed Abueideh did exactly that when he made Liyla and the Shadows of War, which tells a story of a little girl who lives in Gaza during the 2014 war, in which 30% of civilian casualties were children. Liyla and the Shadows of War was showcased at IndieCade and A MAZE and earned numerous award nominations, including a win in Excellence in Storytelling at the International Mobile Gaming Awards Middle East/North Africa.

This bundle is pay-what-you-want (above $5 U.S. dollars) for Liyla and the Shadows of War, and you will receive hundreds of additional games, assets, and soundtracks graciously donated by game developers and media creators around the world for free. Why do we do this thing where we're like "You wouldn't do this to another marginalized community."

I just saw a video of a bi person going "people act like the only bi woman is white and middle class, but they don't do that with lesbians or gay men." I immediately thought "Yes they do, though."

I've seen people say it with "You wouldn't say it about Jews" as a talking point against racism, with examples that I've definitely seen happen to Jewish people. "You wouldn't say this to a Black person" about comments I've seen Black people receive.

"Don't tell me I can heal my invisible disabilities with enough willpower, you wouldn't say that to a wheelchair user!" - they do though.

It's rare that a bigoted mindset doesn't replicate itself across groups. There are specifics for each marginalized group, but if a shitty attitude exists towards one, it most likely exists towards others. If you haven't seen it - it's likely your positioning.

If you want to discuss an issue you experience, you don't have to use another marginalized group as an example of someone who has it better. If you're wrong and they do suffer, you just contributed to erasure.

in 1996, he was convicted of kidnapping and murdering three women and was sentenced to death.

this conviction is entirely false. he didn’t murder anybody.

he has been found not guilty of the crime. at this point, the only reason he remains in jail is because he was at the scene of the crime. the court also claims that he bullied willis hayes, the man who actually did murder the three women, into killing them. however, willis hayes has come forward and has admitted that dustin DID NOT commit the crime, and he’s also even confessed that dustin never bullied him into murdering the trio of women. but the court won’t accept it.

DUSTIN JOHN HIGGS IS SCHEDULED TO BE EXECUTED ON JANUARY 15, 2021. HE IS GOING TO BE EXECUTED FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT AT ALL. WE CAN’T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.
