Slay the Princess: a summary
I constantly have it in my mind that Gillion is three years older than Chip. Gillion, yes, Gillion mother fucking Tidestrider, is the oldest of the albatrio.
It's funny on a base level, Gillion is oldest yet the others need to babysit him. Gillion is the oldest but he knows the least. Haha.
It's less funny if you think about Chip being 8 years old, happy with the black rose pirates and then Gillion. Gillion who is eleven and training to be a weapon for others.
It's less funny if you think about Jay, 12 and spending time with her mom and sister. Gillion, 13, who can't remember his mom and almost expects his sister's hugs to hurt because the only contact he gets is hit over the head for failing again.
Chip, 14, Jay, 16, able to act out and cause trouble, because they're teenagers, why not goof around? And then Gillion, who's 17 and told to be an adult and act like it. But he can't change how he acts, because being mature has always been the standard expectation, he doesn't know how to be an adult when that's already what he's been his whole life.
Chip, 18 and he is scared to kill someone because killing is bad. Jay, 20 and her sister is dead and she is heartbroken. Gill, 21 and he is already used to killing, and he never sees his sister anyways, and he ruins his life. He ruins his life doing wha he thought was right, doing what they taught him to do.
Gillion is three years older than Chip, a year older than Jay. And it seems insignificant until you think about those years being stolen from him. It took Gillion 22 years to be free. Chip was free off and on, he had a childhood, Jay was never held back, she had a childhood.
Gillion didn't.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! This was an idea I had several months ago and having gotten the chance to work with all these amazing artists has been such an honour. Everyone did a tarot card inspired design based on the magnus archives fears and OH MY GOD they turned out so good.

Better get on that, Jon. That's a sweet deal.
WIP under cut
Frankly, I just wanted to show the lineart a little closer, this may be the best Jon I've drawn (not counting dragon Jon, he's my special boy)
Just look at this sad, little man. I love him so.
The Solidarity Gaming Death Curse: Afflicted individual will die first no matter the circumstances.
The Solidarity Gaming Canary Curse: Once the harbinger dies, the server will descend into chaos. Expect much bloodshed in the coming days.
The GoodTimesWithScar Session 5 Curse: Afflicted individual will, without fail, lose all but one life by session 5. If the individual hasn’t yet lost their lives by this point, the universe will course correct.
The GoodTimesWithScar Enchantment Curse: The cursed individual gains an obsession for the sole enchantment table, hailing it as their most important possession to the point of insanity.
The GoodTimesWithScar Pet Curse: Any and all animals befriended by the unfortunate cursebearer will meet a horrific fate at the hands of another.
The GoodTimesWithScar and Grian Life Curse: The first afflicted individual will always lose their first life as a result of the second afflicted individual, whether directly or indirectly.
The Grian Bonds Curse: The unfortunate sufferer of this curse will always end up being responsible for the death of their loved ones.
The TangoTek Isolation Curse: The afflicted individual will suffer an unfortunate final death alone, often dying by no fault of their own or in a meaningless way.
The Smallishbeans Insanity Curse: The afflicted individual, upon reaching their final life, will inevitably go on an insane killing spree in a desperate attempt to win, often burning another’s base down in the process.
The Rendog Last-Stand Curse: The cursed player will die within the walls of their home, in an attempt to defend it one last time.
The Rendog Loyalty Curse: The affected player will get attached to one person or a group of people, and will be loyal to the point of dying for said people.
The Rendog and InTheLittleWood Partnership Curse: The cursed individuals will undoubtedly form a partnership regardless of circumstance, but will be ultimately unable to protect each other.
The BdoubleO100 Tragedy Curse: The cursed individual will disregard all other players and focus on protecting one person they hold dear, inevitably failing as that person dies.
The Smajor1995 Widow Curse: The cursebearer’s chosen partner will always die before them, with the cursebearer being unable to save them.
The Zombiecleo Widow Maker Curse: The cursebearer will always die before their chosen partner, no matter the circumstances.
The Zombiecleo Betrayal Curse: The afflicted individual will be betrayed by someone close to them, and will hold a grudge until their revenge is total.
The Victor Curse: Although victory is the prize all seek, no one will come out with their lives. Alone in an abandoned world, where they are the last remaining being, all who succeed are doomed to fall at the hands of themselves or the universe itself.
The Red King Curse (self-inflicted): The reds will need a leader, but this one comes with a curse. The king and his servants will fall one by one, doomed to perish at the hands of another.
The Trap Curse (self-inflicted): A preset trap will never work as intended. Certain exceptions may apply as a result of other curses leading a target to their doom.
The Full Moon Curse (self-inflicted): if an individual points out at any point that there’s a full moon, the rest of the session is doomed to be full of bloodshed and death.
The Base Curse (self-inflicted)*: No matter how secure a base is, it will fall in the end. Nothing survives the red life swarm.
*A variation on this curse is the Flammability Curse: Everything that can be burned will be burned.
*Please leave anymore curses in the notes and the list will be updated to include them
i keep putting this podcast on when i nap and then wake up to jon screaming ,,,
Tim Stoker is Such a fucking fun character to pick apart first of all he copes with humor and I love that.
He is however Very quick to anger when humor doesn't work.
He feels as if he has failed not only Danny but also Sasha, especially since he lost them both to the Same Entity and isn't that the fucking kicker? Losing the Two People he cared for to the same Entity. Tim will do Anything for those he trusts and once you break his trust there is no getting back in his good graces.
Even if Jon was close in a way. Jon hurt Tim, betrayed his trust but Tim in the end was a hurt and angry man who had lost the two people he cared about most and found anyone and everyone to blame.
You could even argue that he lost three people as its commonly thought that Jon and Tim did used to be friends. Tim died for revenge because he felt it was his Duty to do what he could to rid the world of the Stranger. Because He Failed Danny and He Failed Sasha and destroying that which killed them was the Only way he could avenge them, to do what was right, to show to Himself that he didn't fail them.
Tim is an Incredibly complex character who many write off as a comic relief or a sacrifice but damn if he is not the most relatable fucking person in the podcast doing all he can for those he loves. Calling out the bullshit and protecting that last bit of normalcy and hope he has however he can until he Snaps.
