A Call for Help Amidst the Devastation in Gaza
My name is Hanan Al-Salout, a Palestinian mother and children's counselor. I write to you today with a heart heavy with indescribable pain and sorrow, due to the loss and destruction my family has faced as a result of the war in Gaza. 💔😢
The relentless violence has taken everything from us our home, our livelihoods, and even the sense of safety we once had. I lost my job, and my husband He lost his job too is fighting with all his strength to keep our family standing amid unbearable suffering. 💔😓
But the most painful part is watching my little child, Yaseen, who is not even two years old, live in constant fear. Every day, he wakes up to the horrors of war, sheltered by a torn tent that no longer protects us from the cold, wind, or rain. Winter storms have destroyed the last bit of shelter we had, leaving us exposed to the harsh elements. We have sold everything we owned, and now all we have left are our prayers and hope that your compassionate hearts will hear our plea. 🙏💔
This war has turned into an extermination of innocent families, children, and dreams. We live each day in fear of becoming another number in the growing list of casualties. 😢
We plead with you to look upon us with mercy. Your support could be the difference between life and death for my family. 🙏🤍

when you start losing your appetite and getting out of bed gets suspiciously too hard
i don't wanna sound hopeless but i feel like so many of you don't care or have stopped caring about palestine.
the news of hospitals being bombed, children being massacred, people dying from the cold, and the famine spreading in gaza does not seem enough to grab attention or make people care.
what new tragedy needs to befall gaza for you to start talking about it? the occupation kills a child every few minutes. people are cold and are starving. refugee camps are being bombed with bombs that can level city blocks.
this all happens because of all of us. we are complicit in this genocide because our governments use the taxes we pay to send weapons to the occupation. weapons that are used to kill children and impose a blockade that is starving 2 million people.
the very fact that we're still going about our days when all of this is going on breaks my heart. especially because we have failed to stop our governments from using our money to arm israel.
i urge you, please be generous and donate to suad and her baby khaled. he is just six months old and suad is unable to find any formula for him. if she finds anything, it is extremely expensive. the baby also needs warm clothes and is suffering from a respiratory problem and needs a nebulizer.

people are getting beaten up by the police only because they're protesting in turkey. literal 17 year olds are getting shot by plastic bullets, getting pepper sprayed and beaten up AND arrested. all because they're protesting. the police posted stories on instagram, saying "good night" to people they beat up. they're attacking people who don't even have any banners or are staying silent and just walking. they're literally watering people with at least four to five trucks each protest-place. they're getting hit, kicked and punched, a woman got beaten up with a bat with nails attached to it.
these protests are happening because the president of turkey detained the mayor of istanbul (and his biggest rival) imamoglu. imamoglu's university diploma was unlawfully revoked. you have to have a diploma to become president in turkey, so this was clearly done to stop him from running for president. we're just trying to protect ourselves, from getting our diploma getting revoked too, from people being treated unfairly and so much more. we're just protesting. we don't want your money, we want you to hear us.
please reblog and share with everyone you can on every platform. there are many people explaining everything in more detail on twitter, tiktok and/or instagram and maybe even youtube.
