NedCan are unproblematic as hell. They're the type to not say anything, but know that the other loves them. That connection is just there. And Lars is willing to put down his laws of money handling to do grand gestures for Matthew (like parades, festivals, a field oftulips as far as the eye can see, and even developing an entire breed of tulips just for him). Matthew appreciates the gestures a lot, cause it means that Lars really does love him despite Lars barely showing emotion and saying anything. Matthew's gestures are more lowkey, like flowers and chocolates and sales coupons and dates. Their house is tidy and so peaceful that you can actually hear the wind outside. They respect each other's boundaries and they have the same opinion on everything so they've never disagreed on anything. They make up for the silence with lots of physical affection. NedCan extra HCs: -The tulips never stop. Lars needs to get a hold of himself or Matthew’s entire land will be covered in tulips -They mostly spend their days tending to their fluffy pets, the garden, or just cuddling on the couch while doing their own thing. -Lars is actually quite affectionate, but he's not the shy type of person. He's confidently affectionate with but with a straight face. However you can see he's blushing a bit so he does like it. -Lars always does something nice for Matthew in meetings like bring him coffee or food -They have bridges named after each other -They have "Canada 150" tulips everywhere in their house -It's basically SuFin, minus the "domestic family husbands" vibe. -Lars barely shows any expression. He only has two of them: Anger and poker face. He does not know how to make any other expression. However Matthew can tell if he's happy, smiling or laughing. -Lots of biking and boat trips -They are literally so unproblematic -Simps for each other -Pancakes, pancakes everywhere -Lars loves it when Matthew's all bad*ss. Lars once asked for the quickest way to someone's heart and Matthew responded with "through the third and fourth rib", Lars was both aroused and scared at the same time. -Matthew gets frustrated sometimes because he's taller than average, but then Lars swoops in with his thunderingly tall height. Alfred has the same problem. -With Lars barely initiating anything, it's Matthew who takes the leap. This makes Matthew more confident in himself and his decisions. -They have a swimming pool as well, Matthew is usually the one who uses it. He coaxes Lars into joining him occasionally. He brings Lars to Alfred and Ivan's pool games sometimes but Lars never participates. The only time he does participate is when Alfred has succeeded in drenching him with water and he has no choice but to join them. It only happened twice because the third time he came he brought an umbrella.
First off I love this because it shows Anya as the one in the suit. I love Anya in a suit.
Collective dumps some rusame that I accumulated over the month
im curious if people in this fandom portray alfred as being able to cook or not?? cuz like i understand that he has strange tastebuds canonically, but that doesn't mean he's bad at cooking right?
on one hand it makes sense, but on the other hand i like it when alfred knows how to cook because of those farm movies where the characters talk about "good ol' southern cooking", and the disney princess literally known for her cooking is american (love u tiana)
I'm not saying he's great at it like france, cuz he's definitely a fan of deep frying the weirdest things, but he's definitely up there. i mean, i don't like usuk but one of them has to be able to cook right?? otherwise how do they live???
or maybe this isnt a matter of him being able to cook or not, its just that he doesn't want to?? cuz in every fic i read he never cooks, its always someone else who does (like matthew or ivan)

How would you think either of the two (Alfred and Ivan) would think about proposing/marriage in your au? Ik they do eventually but I would love to hear about how it might happen!
I think they're both into it! One more than the other tho lmao
ofc Alfred as an Omega was highly disdainful of the idea and actively rejected it, but only because its something expected of him. Take this excerpt:
Alfred wrinkled his nose. Marriage as a duty. What a ridiculous notion.
He saw the Omegas here in this village. The married ones. The ones who walked around the village claiming they were fulfilled because they had made a family. A good show, indeed—but through the windows of their cottages, behind drawn curtains, he could see their misery, their helplessness at the hands of their husbands. Fear flashed in their eyes at the prospect of returning home. Controlled. Locked away. No freedom or autonomy or any function other than to satisfy their husbands' carnal urges and pump out their babies.
Alfred saw it as a warning. And he didn't need to be told twice.
This is what Alfred thinks about marriage, mostly due to his upbringing of seeing the miserable people of Krasny. But he's not against it entirely. He just doesn't want it to be forced upon him. Like all things, he wants it at his own pace, at his own time. But he's not immune to dreaming—and even he wants his own fairytale romance one day. He just never has time to truly think about it or consider it. For most of the story its the last thing on his mind. Ofc, after getting feelings for Ivan, this mindset changed, and he very much wants to get married to him.
As for Ivan, in the story it's also the last thing on his mind. Of course, he's a royal with a lot on his plate—that is, until he started liking Alfred. Now, he very much wants to do so; there's even a scene where he goes through the lawbook trying to find a loophole so he can marry him. You would think with all his trauma and history that he would fear marriage, as he saw how his parents' turned out. But Ivan isn't like that. Rather than a cautionary tale, he sees it as another way to prove he isn't like his father, like a manual. For Ivan its like: get married, have children, and do it better than he did.
When there's a best boy there's a best girl too
