adding onto this, can matthew cook too?? like if the brothers were to live together would matthew be the one to cook or would alfred? or they both can cook but one of them is clearly better than the other?

in my eyes alfred's still the better cook, cuz when i searched up canadian cuisine it did not look as appetizing as american food😭😭 and in general i see matthew as more,, disorganized? laid back, if u will. i mean alfred worked his way to the top of the world while matthew is chill where he is. plus alfred's been shown to not drink alcohol while matthew canonically smokes weed, the only thing that maple slurper cooks is crack

and i like the idea that alfred is usually such a carefree character but has to double down to take care of his twin. like, since arthur couldnt cook, alfred had to learn how to while growing up so they didnt starve while francis did all of the cooking for matthew so mattie didnt need to learn and now he needs someone else to do it for him

im curious if people in this fandom portray alfred as being able to cook or not?? cuz like i understand that he has strange tastebuds canonically, but that doesn't mean he's bad at cooking right?

on one hand it makes sense, but on the other hand i like it when alfred knows how to cook because of those farm movies where the characters talk about "good ol' southern cooking", and the disney princess literally known for her cooking is american (love u tiana)

I'm not saying he's great at it like france, cuz he's definitely a fan of deep frying the weirdest things, but he's definitely up there. i mean, i don't like usuk but one of them has to be able to cook right?? otherwise how do they live???

or maybe this isnt a matter of him being able to cook or not, its just that he doesn't want to?? cuz in every fic i read he never cooks, its always someone else who does (like matthew or ivan)

Ivan never plays chess with anybody except Alfred, because he knows Alfred is the only one worthy and smart enough to be able to play against him. Their games are unpredictable, sneaky, and intense. Ivan loves playing with Alfred for two reasons: 1. Alfred is smart and unpredictable, Ivan is intelligent himself but can never figure out what his lover's next move is gonna be, thus adding a passionate and exciting thrill to their games 2. Alfred is focused and intense during chess. Ivan thinks it's very amusing.

However, his past attitude has gained him haters, and many people hold disdain for him to this day. It doesn't bother him, though (or so he says). As an adult, Arthur is now a Pokémon history researcher, delving into the mythology, history, and cultural significance of Pokémon. His fascination with folklore, magic, and legends makes him well-suited to study ancient Pokémon species, artifacts, and mysterious phenomena. Additionally, his meticulous nature and love for tradition would lead him to specialize in documenting regional variations of Pokémon and their habitats. Not to say that he has abandoned battling—he is also an Elite Four Member specializing in Dark types, renowned as one of the strongest in Galar.

Arthur and his siblings were orphaned after their parents' tragic death at sea, leaving their eldest brother, Scott, to care for them. Despite their affluent lifestyle in an opulent manor, the family chose not to touch their inheritance, leaving Arthur with only hand-me-downs and a sense of being overshadowed. This fueled him to become a Pokemon trainer, as he saw it as the quickest way to put his name on the map and accomplish something outside of his brothers. Arthur joined the Allies' traveling group with this goal, but after their adventures, he realized battling wasn't his true calling and turned to documenting his journey in writing, focusing on Pokémon history and mythology at the Astral Institute. He is a longtime rival of Francis Bonnefoy, who has been his friend since childhood after the latter had saved him from drowning. Despite their fierce rivalry, they are inseparable.
