nothing is more therapeutic than waking up at 4am to take a stroll and admire a sleeping city
something deeply intimate about being outside early in the morning all alone and seeing the world as she is
love is insane you feel like you're always subtly asking "do you still love me even though i'm flawed" and the answer just keeps being yes
sometimes we forget how vast life is. how many people we have yet to meet. how many places we still have to see. how many smiles, how many compliments, how many whispered affections, how many hugs. sunsets and coffees. flowers and books. waiting for you. don’t worry, you’ll be there soon.
Congratulations to the couple people on my dash who recently got vaccinated despite needle phobias. You did an important thing to protect yourself and others even though it’s scary for you, and I think that’s pretty awesome. 💜👍🏽
I know this will bother unhealed adults, but the real world, more often than not, does give you second chances and do overs. Very rarely are things set in stone. And people, especially young people, deserve to know that. Because lording the idea that they can never mess up, even once, does a lot more damage than good.

I think of you so often and unintentionally, it’s as natural as breathing at this point
fuck texting and expensive dinner dates. i just wanna run around in flower fields and kiss in the rain
the mood is missing art museums and brown sugar boba :(
I miss walking through museums and going to get iced coffee afterwards, mind full of centuries of history.
the craziest thing about books is you can pick one up and remember exactly where you read and what you felt like when you read it. maybe it was a summer afternoon and you were sad, maybe it was a school night and you were up much too late and already feeling the next morning’s regret, maybe you read the book right after a fight with your mom and you were angry. and a book brings all those emotions and memories back, even if you don’t remember the story the book actually holds. don’t tell me literature isn’t magic 🪄

— Katherine Henson
When you’re depressed, you grasp on to anything that can get you through the day. That’s what depression is, not sadness or tears. It’s the overwhelming sense of numbness and the desire for anything that can help you make it from one day to the next.
