ford pines (early 20's, probably): i dont particularly feel tied to being a man, and i dont know if thats normal or not. i should probably just focus on my studies and worry about that later. besides, dad always told me to man up. maybe he's right. stan pines (early 20's, probably) (also in drag): damn my tits look fat as shit in this. ford pines (post canon): it is normal to not be tied to any gender and i feel very comfortable knowing i dont have to be forced into a gender identity im not comfortable with. gender neutral pronouns make me feel comfortable with myself and the fact other people around me are willing to support that means a lot to me stan pines (post canon) (also wearing a dress): damn my tits look fat as shit in this.

i want to post something about ford and his relationship with bill (similar format to the mcgucket posts i made) but i feel like it wouldn't be worth it with the amount of disclaimer i would have to put. my idea of "billford" is very specific and i dont want to tag it as that nor have other people tag that because of the way other people perceive it. people do not scroll through the billford tag to see a "complex" analysis of how abusive their relationship was and how bill sees ford as a toy or pet to control and play with as a way to comfort himself and cope unhealthily. people scroll through the billford tag to see them kiss and be silly when that is not at all my intention. i dont know how i would word it on the actual post in a short format which discourages me from posting it at all because i dont want the wrong audience under a post like that. do you understand. please understand.
stan sometimes has to get up at ungodly hours of the night in order to help soos with a simple problem. ford sometimes has to have uncomfortable conversations with tate in order to explain himself and apologize. but thats not what matters.
what matters is that theyre better than filbrick
and the fact that they broke the cycle.
this therapist told him to think more positive thoughts.

ok ok more stan twin headcanons. this time it’s how they recover from being overstimulated for an extended period of time
ford:
-paces around his room
-listens to music (mostly soundtracks)
-fidgets with all of the random stuff in his room. trinkets and things
-sometimes writes/draws in his journal
-maybe even watches a comfort show
-mostly non-verbal but if you’re close to him (family) he’s more than willing to just sit there and listen to you talk for a while.
-also takes off his glasses during this time. doesn’t want to have to take in all of details in his vision at once.
-tries to focus on just little things at a time. it slowly wears off but it’s still effective and he starts talking again pretty quick.
stan:
-THE VOID.
-no lights
-no noise
-no fidgets
-only laying on the floor
-only staring at the ceiling
-if you even think of coming near him you’ll get clobbered (not really but he REALLY wants to be alone)
-entirely nonverbal
-basically puts himself in a sensory deprivation tank and it works like a factory reset button. he’s fine like 10 minutes later.

ok i have two answers for this very question 1. i feed off of peoples tears. its just what i do man. its like soy sauce, you can put it on anything 2. i dont think people really genuinely realize how fucking sad mcgucket is. people know "oh its so sad" but they dont really think about how actually dehumanized he was after he lost his mind. with no help, nobody to care about him, and the only attention he gets is when he tries to hurt other people. you would lose your mind too. you would feel hurt too. he will build for anyone who will even talk to him. thats why he build the gideonbot. he just wanted someone to be there for him but there wasn't. not ever. i need you guys to realize this. im really glad those posts took off the way it did, because its really important to me that people dont brush off how horribly he was treated. stan hit him with his car. people vandalized his home. nobody took him seriously. nobody even talked to him. he wasnt a real person to anyone. he just just the town kook. the crazy man. the hillbilly. thats fucked up shit. and that went on for 30. years. think about that. really really think about it. because i think about it. i think about it alot. anyways im glad its working. i might give the ol gucket a break and write about some stan and ford angst i thought of in the shower at some point.

old man mcgucket is the loneliest person in all of gravity falls. and it’s not by choice. i mean, he’s always walking around town and trying to talk to people, but who wants to talk to that crazy guy? he’s creepy. not even his own son wants to talk to him. people just avoid him. 30 whole years and nobody ever reached out to help him. he was probably too far gone in the first place, honestly.
with nobody to talk to, it’s not really a surprise that he builds those weird robots to cope. it’s the only way people will give him any attention, recognition, or to just look in his direction at all. nobody cares about his other inventions, but those robots get him put in the news all of the time. not to mention the fact that people only started paying attention to him after he saved us during weirdmageddon. even then, most people care more about what stan and ford did. maybe he should’ve tried harder.
now that he’s regained his mind and ford is with him, people treat him more like a human. but i think they still talk behind his back. only reason they don’t say it to his face anymore is because they’re scared of ford. ford is a hero. you don’t want to get on his bad side. just put up with the guy he’s with, even if you don’t want to. nobody really wants to. the only reason he even got on the path to recovery is because dipper thought he was the author. dipper didn’t even plan to help him at all. he just wanted to look for more information.
hes lucky to have ever been given a second chance.
if it weren’t for ford he would still be a nobody.
it probably would’ve been better that way
then everyone could continue to ignore him.
like they always have.
