A moment before disaster
i still haven’t started my s5 relisten
Supplemental? More like supplementally ill
cats being capable of understanding accidents and even giving you a little head bonk to let you know you're still cool makes it infinitely funnier that they don't understand when you're trying to help them
cats when you step on their tail: i'll admit that was rather ouchie, but given the lifetime of goodwill and trust between us, one must conclude this booboo is but a fluke.
cats when you try to get their claws unstuck from the couch covering: this nefarious bitch has never had a single honorable intention in their dishonest and shameful life, this must be one of their sinister plots or perhaps even an attempt on my life,

Commission for @tea-moth11 for the fic "Cancelled Plans"! Thank you for the support!
Look, TMA is a workplace comedy, but relistening just adds an extra flavor to it. You get moments like Elias telling Jon not to cross the Lukas family and its all ominous and sinister and threatening but then you meet Peter Lukas and he turns out to be a depressed 60 year old man with social anxiety who's trapped in a situationship with a centuries old corpse possessing a stoner so he can cosplay middle management until his apocalypse idea takes off
Oliver being canonically good-looking is so funny to me. Like he's so beautiful that statement givers remember it and must comment on it while giving a statement about the most messed up eldritch stuff they've ever seen
i feel like people forget that tim stoker is just. a huge fuckin nerd. like yeah he's Assigned Canonically Hot by Basira, kayaking king etc. but he references iocaine powder from the princess bride! he has a specialist interest in architecture and regularly infodumps about robert smirke to jon! he casually namedrops stanislavski while bantering with sasha! he's got a first class degree from trinity college! he's forever borrowing books from the library! he's able to regularly phish utility companies for confidential information! he figures out where the unknowing will happen based solely off his own research even though the rest of the archival team have been trying for months! anyway live laugh love timothy stoker you wouldve been a great archivist if you weren't so silly at heart.
do you think the trend “would you still love me if i was a worm” is banned in the archives since the prentiss incident. like. tim says it as a joke once and jon almost spills his coffee on the carpet with how fast he turns around
Rewatching TMA and getting to Arachnophobia is a lot funnier when you imagine Jon just having war flashbacks as he reads through this, like, no WONDER the poor man thought that it was some kind of prank
“Can you be haunted by the ghost of the spider that destroyed your childhood ?”
I don’t know, Jon, CAN you ?
I need to find someone to explain to me TMA like I'm an idiot (I am)
Did I miss something?
I know I'm still at the start but it feels too confusing
NEW HWLLUVA EP
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
LIKE LOOK AT THEM
I am, in fact, very normal about this podcast (:
TMA is something I’ve never seen coming. The rapid 180 degree changes, the whiplash from which hits you hard, makes you fall out of your seat and stare in the middle of the wall, wondering “..what just happened..”
Never have I ever been so inspired, driven by something so invigorating, so potent in its way of conveying emotions.
So many days have been met with lost eyes, absolutely aghast at what I just listened to. So many nights and unwise decisions to listen to one more episode, just one, and then dozing off with the first glimpses of dawn
I regret nothing. Not the tears, not the pain, not the time. TMA, thank you for introducing me to the part of me I didn’t know I had.
And close-ups!!
[ID: A five panel digitally illustrated comic of Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood from The Magnus Archives. The first panel shows just Martin's right hand, holding a large knife as Martin asks "Are you sure about this?". The second panel is a wider view, showing Jon propped up in Martin's lap, his head being cradled by Martin's left hand. Jon's left hand is holding Martin's face as Martin cries. Jon says "No, but I love you" and Martin replies "I love you too." In the third panel they move towards each other, eyes closed and mouths slightly open, and in the fourth panel they kiss. The fifth panel shows Martin stabbing the knife into Jon's chest as Jon gasps. End description.]

(study of consolation by jc leyendecker)
bitches will be like "this peice of media genuinely makes me sick. I am both mentally and physically unwell. it has done irreversible damage to me. I wish I can go back to before I even found out about it." and then recommended it to a good friend with a big smile on their face like it's the best thing ever created.
its me. I do this. and it IS the best thing ever created.
sydney sketches except i’ve actually listened to some of the podcast this time
podcasts are great because it's like having a friend tell you about their day while you're doing the dishes but instead it's a bunch of guys running around and experiencing the horrors
It has come to my attention that people have been using my mspaint doodle as a reaction image- and I'm flattered however I realized I didn't sign it so I made a signed version. Use this one instead please and thank you!!
Drawn while listening to Malevolent, but can apply to a wide variety of horror podcasts or listening experiences. I'll tag a few for safe measure
secretly a little bit punk jon is my favorite thing
New hc This is why Oliver Banks liked him so much
Jon doesn't want to die. he thinks he should die, which is a feeling that's followed him since he was eight. he goes through most seasons with the air of someone who fully believes they're about to take their rightful place in the grave, and he's terrified of it. there are some attempts in s4 where he tries to convince himself that he either wants to die or thinks he shouldn't, but I don't think any of it truly sticks. everything he's lived since he was eight has been with time bought by the death of someone else. and he's going to die, it just hasn't happened yet!
then the apocalypse happens, purely because he just hadn't died yet. he should have, but he didn't!
then he meets Annabelle Cane for the last time and learns that he was, in fact, never meant to die. at least not until he does everything the web planned for him.
jon must have been so good for the end
Back at it again with more season 5 jmart. I love them so dearly
Jonny Sims: *kills off all your favs brutally*
Also, jonny Sims: "The cat lives. I'm saying this now because I don't want people to worry the cat dies. We don't do that here"
my problem with getting a grip on elias's characterization is that I always forget the fact that he's sillay. like sure he's evil and sadistic and manipulative and britain's next top victim blamer but also he says things like "yes, if you die, I'm afraid you probably won't be able to claim your expenses." he gets punched in the stomach while being arrested and doubles over in pain and wheezes "ah. I see :)"
