I feel like pirating media that isn’t sold or offered anywhere legally anymore shouldn’t be called piracy. Girl thats archaeology
*sobbing* no bc you don’t understand Abuela is not a villain she’s traumatized she literally had to leave everything behind and watched people, including her own husband, die and then all of a sudden she got this miracle that literally moved the earth to create a safe haven for her so OF COURSE when she sees that the magic is in trouble she has trouble dealing with it because that’s been her stability for so long and OF COURSE when she sees it REALLY starting to weaken she freaks out and starts snapping at people because for all she knew, if they lost their magic, they could lose EVERYTHING again. The miracle LITERALLY created the mountains around their encanto, for all she knew, if the magic ran out, the mountains could have crushed them all or they would have disappeared back into the earth, it would leave them vulnerable again, and OF COURSE she still loves her family and Mirabel but of course she snaps at her bc she’s scared and doesn’t know what’s going on but she knows Mirabel is connected to it somehow and whatever it is was so bad her son LEFT and OF COURSE she pushes her family so hard to help the community because she has survivor’s guilt bc she wasn’t the only one who lost her home or her loved ones but she was the one who got the miracle so of course she feels like she has to earn it somehow and OF COURSE she doesn’t know how to help her children with their mental health bc she doesn’t know how to handle it, let alone handle her own, and it’s just so devastatingly HUMAN and I just- *ugly cries*
thinking about this dynamic
Josephine Goodrich and her “husband” (it does not appear the two were legally married) C. J. Phillips were charged with stealing $61.80 from a man’s pocket at the Stockton train station in September of 1918.
C. J. had a long criminal history, having been in jail at least seven times, mostly for vagrancy.
After their initial conviction, they requested a new trial on the grounds that the complaining witness, Mr. Song Won Sook, was a recent Korean immigrant who spoke little English, and there were apparently questions as to the accuracy of his testimony.
Their request was denied, and the two entered San Quentin Prison on June 10, 1919, receiving consecutive numbers. C. J. died in prison four months later.
Apparently people have messaged me and I never noticed. Real people. Not bots. I feel so bad the messages are like a year old. So I can't reply now

So I’m reading The Making of Frankenstein by Daisy Hay (cause I’m a hoe for absolutely anything concerning my Geneva squad babies) and she’s talking about the manuscripts of Frankenstein allowing us to see how the book progressed as Mary wrote and Percy edited. AND THERE’S PICTURES. There’s one part where Percy added comments in pencil and Mary went over them in pen to make sure she’d remember to add them in and another part where she scribbled out his suggestions altogether. One part shows that Percy must have slammed the book shut because the ink from his pen left corresponding splashes and splotches on the opposite page and you can see where Mary switched from chunky pens to thin-nibbed ones. Percy used black ink and Mary used brown ink. I felt like I’d been transported to a candlelit room with Mary sitting at her desk hurriedly writing away as Percy looked on and honestly BOOKS ARE MAGIC!❤️❤️
do y’all think Coriolanus Snow supports gay rights because with a name like that I don’t think he has any choice but to.
This could have been a moment when the Democrats stood up as one in a great Spartacist moment of political resistance... instead we got Al Green with the bravery to not back down.
