Not your typical “go to sleep at 9:30pm and don’t use ANY technology for 3 hours before that uwu” (even tho that is true, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before i ever actually do) type of tips…Nah, I’m giving tips on how to handle a school day running on 2-5hrs of sleep AND how to maximize the amount of sleep you get, so lets get into it!
Maximize Sleep Time/ Get Better Sleep
1. To get more sleep, be active through the day! You don’t gotta be exercising all day constantly, but don’t lay in bed all Sunday. If you get up and do somethings, you’ll be more tired at night.
2. Have alarms for everything! Alarms for more sleep??? What??? Yeah, use alarms to schedule your day. Have an alarm for when you’re gonna shower, when you’re gonna eat a donut, when you’re gonna shower, and eventually when you go to sleep. Specifically, if you create a nighttime routine, your brain will recognize that it’s time to go down at
3. Less caffeine, more water! Not only does caffeine make you more hyper and cause you to stay up longer, it is also not healthy. Drink water, it doesn’t make you stay up late and it’s healthy.
How To Run On Low Sleep
1. Take a nap before school. I get to school like 45 minutes before it starts, so if I’m not running on at least 4 ½ hours of sleep, I gotta take a nap. You could also take a nap at lunch if you don’t mind missing it!
2. Look…I know I said no caffeine, but that’s if you wanna maximize sleep time. If you have no intention on fixing your sleep schedule, caffeine es tu amigo!!! But still drink water to be a healthy boi
3. Take a morning shower. I prefer hot showers, but I know a cold shower wakes you up better (is that the word idk).
