in case you didnt know, i also habe a Hobbit au (#ineffablehobbitau on insta, co-owned by spacecadetdonut on insta) cause the hobbit triology are my fav movies and I am convinced that Azi met Tolkien and inspired him to make Bilbo.

Everything's basically the same except that Azi is Bilbo and Crowley is Smaug (Smaugley) who isn't actually a bad guy. he can make himself more humanoid and helps fight in BOTFA so my Durin babies don't have to die 😤 there's so much to tell about this au but I'll save that for another day, i'm going to bed hehe

my partner in crime for this au spacecadetdonut and i discussed this scene sometime last year and they made an amazing mini comic about it not too long ago and aah i just wanted to do my own take. also regarding the last panel, Smaugley can make his wings appear and disappear anytime he likes. Also also i think i came up with a nice little idea over how the Arkenstone actually belongs to Smaugley ahsjsksb i need to get this onto paper asap cause it looks cool in my head at least lol.

I had this mental picture of Nico summoning ink-like shadows and disappearing  into them, so I made this really short animation to give it a try !
