Not to go on a rant, but I hate it when people punish children for asking questions. Like, they're just trying to learn and are so genuinely and sincerely curious. Why punish them? They are just tiny people with far less information than you have, so they should be filled in and treated with respect as they are. Of course, I understand simplifying things for kids and withholding some information from them if they are not quite ready for it, but they should be told everything otherwise and certainly should not be punished for wanting to learn more.
