Atreus And His Dads

okay you know what? i am not that far into observing this new dynamic, but i think mimir counts as atreus' dad as much as kratos does. in the beginning of the second game every five minutes they have these small and intense gossip sessions with kratos being like, "wtf am i wrong mimir hey mimir bruh consulte me," and mimir would go like, "relax your buttcheeks brothÆr lemme tell you semi-objective truth like the smartass without ass i am".

i officially grant them with a headcanon of being two sad dads. even tho mimir does not act like a dad – he still functions as a parent (at the very least i think he intented to function as somewhat of a mentor, but atreus needs more than that – a village to raise a kid, u know). one sad dad and one sad dad-uncle. brothers here to try and keep the boi okay, as well as keep each other safe and sane respectfully.

the thing that fascinates me abt mistynat is like. nat shoulders the things misty does like its absolutely normal, like she should not be surprised bc its fucking misty quigley and you teamed up with her so why complain. nat so far is a pretty level headed individual, yet with misty she's like you fucked up my car to go on a road trip with me for 3 hours...shrugs, sure yeah but jerky, really? misty kicks down her door snorts $300 worth of coke in the name of friendship and nats understandably pissed like u are literally insane misty, a fucking owl camera??? yet nat is the one who apologises knocks on her door saying PLEASE please help me hide a dead body also you look so sexy today. this is not even mentioning nat being genuinely impressed at mistys ability to steal from her place of work which is like, several felonies in of itself. this is framed as completely normal friendship btw and misty cries at the idea of nat leaving her willingly and is elated when oh its okay she doesnt hate me, she just was kidnapped, i stay silly :3
