How Neuroscience-backed Practices Can Boost Your Long-term Health And Cognitive Function

How neuroscience-backed practices can boost your long-term health and cognitive function

In the pursuit of optimizing both mental and physical well-being, neuroscientific research offers valuable insights into specific practices that have long-term benefits. Below are four highly effective habits supported by science that you can incorporate into your daily routine to improve brain health and overall wellness.

How Neuroscience-backed Practices Can Boost Your Long-term Health And Cognitive Function
How Neuroscience-backed Practices Can Boost Your Long-term Health And Cognitive Function

1. Practice 20 minutes of diaphragmatic breathing every day

Diaphragmatic breathing, also known as deep breathing, activates the vagus nerve, a crucial component of the parasympathetic nervous system. This type of breathing helps reduce cortisol production and lowers heart rate, creating a state of calm. Over time, regular practice of diaphragmatic breathing can significantly reduce chronic stress, improve emotional regulation, and enhance cardiovascular health.

Scientific support: studies have shown that consistent diaphragmatic breathing can alter the body's stress response, leading to long-term benefits such as lower blood pressure and improved heart rate variability—an indicator of cardiovascular resilience.

2. Engage in moderate physical activity for at least 150 minutes a week

Regular physical activity, especially of moderate intensity, has profound effects on brain structure and function. Exercise increases the volume of the hippocampus, the region of the brain associated with learning and memory. It also boosts the production of endorphins and dopamine, which enhance mood and reduce symptoms of depression.

Scientific support: longitudinal studies have found that individuals who maintain regular moderate to intense physical activity have larger brain volumes, a reduced risk of dementia, and better cognitive function compared to those who lead a sedentary lifestyle.

3. Listen to classical or instrumental music while studying

Listening to classical music, such as the works of Mozart, can increase alpha wave activity in the brain, which is associated with a state of relaxed alertness. This type of music stimulates the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that enhances motivation and focus.

Scientific support: research has shown that listening to classical music can improve concentration, memory, and learning ability. Over time, regular exposure to this type of music can enhance neuroplasticity, making it easier to learn and consolidate new information.

4. Regularly consume foods rich in choline, such as eggs and broccoli

Choline is an essential nutrient that plays a key role in the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter crucial for memory and learning. Regular intake of choline through diet supports brain health and can improve synaptic plasticity.

Scientific support: studies have indicated that adequate choline intake is associated with better cognitive function and a reduced risk of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Over time, a choline-rich diet can support memory and protect the brain from age-related decline.

buying the pearl.

"buying the pearl of great price" is a biblical parable from matthew 13:45-46 that neville goddard has frequently used to show how you need to make a complete commitment to your desired outcome or state of being. the parable talks about a merchant who finds a valuable pearl and sells everything he has in order to buy it. neville used this as a metaphor to illustrate how you need to let go of ALL former beliefs if you want to be able to entirely fulfill yourself with your desires.

let go of former beliefs.

you have to let go of any belief system that holds the power to control you. you have to "sell" your old beliefs or declare them and valueless and identify with the only belief — you being god. you have to get rid of everything that does not serve you or dictates your life before you can do it.

there is no outer force but the law.

here‘s the thing: you either believe in the law and that there is no power outside of it or leave it. keep in mind that the law doesn’t cooperate with other belief systems. it’s because believing in the law implies that you understand that everything is you pushed out. everything, every religion, every spiritual pathway is a product of your imagination, a creation from within.

beliefs/ideologies such as astrology, tarot readings, crystals, hinduism, buddhism, karma, numerology, christianity, witchcraft, the law of attraction, islam, judaism, and so on are all the physical embodiment of your imaginative work — if you fully "commit" to the law of assumption. they will always conform to your assumptions about them and only ever be what you make them.

you are the only operant power.

you are the only operant power. there is no spiritual power that can exist outside of you. everything exists because you do, because you are. and it’s your job to identify with your infinite abilities!

that’s why it all loses meaning once you accept that you create everything. suddenly, things aren’t predetermined and you don’t actually witness things the way you do because you are a libra but because of the assumptions you persist in.

you are still free to practice any other belief. i mean, if witchcraft seems fun to you, you can technically use it to your advantage, right? i don’t want to condemn people for practicing other beliefs because you can adjust any belief to your liking and — if it fulfills you — why not?

Being able to have an honest conversation with yourself is crucial to your own growth. Most people can’t do this, that’s why they stay stuck.

Ask yourself why you choose to be offended and see the negative in everything instead of addressing and working on the things about yourself you don’t like? Why do you hang on to your excuses as if you have zero control over your life.

Why you don’t realize you’re not happy and instead choose to look in the mirror and be honest with yourself about your thoughts, feelings and situation.

Manifest your dream life over the holidays weekend

Manifest Your Dream Life Over The Holidays Weekend
Manifest Your Dream Life Over The Holidays Weekend
Manifest Your Dream Life Over The Holidays Weekend

So, you want your dream reality but you want it…now? Don’t worry I got you! Literally, all you need to do is trust me.

PS: Obviously, I know manifesting is instantaneous and you don't even have to wait an hour, let alone two days, to get your desires. This is just for people trying to have fun; honestly, I always felt that those types of statements made me feel more discouraged about my results. So, just remember to have fun with it!!

There are many ways to manifest, and chances are you already know this. I'll be focusing more on saturation and mindsets or states. Like I said, just have fun with this. This WILL work for you and the only person who can tell you otherwise will be YOU.

The goal is that by the end of the weekend, you are in the ultimate manifesting mindset. You'll be affirming, vaunting and overall changing your state of mind to that of a manifestation master. I you don't like affirming, I've made a subliminal playlist that you can just put on a loop.

First off, saturate your mind. Use anything. Affirmations, tapes, vision boards, vaunts, journalling, idc just SATURATE YOUR MIND. Completely convince yourself that you hold all the power (which you do) and everything happens according to your thoughts. You can read this post to help you get into that thought space.

Next you can just listen to the subliminal playlist (or one of your own choosing) or repeat affirmations throughout the day. One thing you can practice is to vaunt. Vaunting is kind of like ranting except you're ranting about your perfect life.

"omg everything i want just appears out of thin air. its like I think things into existence! its so annoying because ill be thinking about croissants and all of a sudden, BOOM! a new bakery opens up out of nowhere on the street. i always get what I want, when I want it. everything I do is just so PERFECT. its like things are practically CHASINg me. forget law of attraction, I'm convinced my desires are running after me to find me."

Vaunt 4 or 6 times per day and affirm or listen to playlists consistently. Like I said, it's all about saturation. Completely fill your head with manifesting-master adjacent thoughts. Choose what you think. Something unfavourable happens? No it didn't. You are in control, there's no way that could happen. You think you can't do this? Now why the hell would you think that? Are you dumb? You're literally the creator of your reality babe, I don't understand what's not clicking.

YES, it's really that easy. NO, you don't need to do any fancy meditations or techniques. You could literally look at your vision board all day and you'll get results. You could literally just THINK about your dream life and you'll have it. Imagination is reality. Your imagination IS your reality.

Affirmations - I am the creator My imagination is reality I will things to happen instantly I am in control Regardless of everything, I have my desired life Regardless of everything, I am the creator

Anyways, hope you guys find this challenge fun. Please contact me when you get results, I would love to hear your routine and the amazing things you manifest. Remember to take it easy and just enjoy yourself. See you guys later!!

Love, tree.

𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 "𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜"

The amount of times I've seen people on this site begging and sobbing for some random person you don't even know to give you "the secret to manifesting" is sickening. I know it sounds harsh but if y'all took at least maybe 30% of the time y'all take to go around asking for "the right thing to do" and instead, go create your own rules/ beliefs AND STICK TO THEM y'all would have your desires by now. People on here are so focused on what's " the right way to manifest" when really it does not fucking matter. ITS THE LAW OF ASSUMPTION, NOT THE LAW OF WHATEVER SOME RANDO POPULAR BLOGGER SAYS!! No matter what you do you will encounter different beliefs, anyone on this site could say you're "doing something wrong" so fuck it. If you're always gonna be doing something wrong, then it must not matter what you're doing. You're always gonna be "wrong" to someone, so just do what makes you happy. If visualizing makes you happy, fuck it, do it. If affirming 24/7 or whenever you want makes you happy, fuck it, do it. If doing absolutely nothing but sitting there like a pretty princess and expecting your desires to come makes you happy, fuck it, do it. Don't take no for an answer, even if the entire world is against you. And for fuck's sake, stop putting your reality and your limitlessness in the hands of random bloggers.

fully embrace who you are, and take control of your life

Fully Embrace Who You Are, And Take Control Of Your Life

disclaimer: I am personally transcending all teachers and concepts. and am embarking on my own journey, and that is what I will focus on sharing here on my blog, if it doesn't resonate, that's okay.

fully embracing who you truly are, is what will set you free. who you are is the authority, IT, god. a limitless, formless being that can never be described by imaginary words.

I'm going to be breaking it down, to make it easier to understand.

You are the only authority, You are God. there is nothing else but You. there is no outer world, no outer space, no other people. there is only You.

do not confuse this, with things, objects and people not being real. they are not real, in the sense we are conditioned to believe is the meaning of "being real" they are real, because you as God, has decided they are real.

your true form, is God. which again can never be described in imaginary words. but being God, can get boring. being so limitless, can get boring with time, and this is where You have created this "human" experience, to keep yourself entertained. God wants to be limited sometimes, because as I said, God gets bored. but you have now woken up to who you truly are, God, and now know, that this human experience, is just a playground for God, it is just a dream, that God I dreaming to keep itself entertained.

circling back to things, objects and people, "not being real". like I said, they are not real in the sense that we are conditioned to believe is real.

the limited view of "real" is something we cannot control, and something outside of us.

but the true meaning of real, is whatever we decide, as God, to make real. nothing exists outside of our mind (mind = God, awareness etc, NOT the limited mind)

our mind is infinite and not limited at all, the only reason we feel limited, is because we have chosen to feel limited, but since we have woken up, we can choose to let this go.

non dualism, demonises the mind. most of them are saying to completely get rid of the mind. but we as God, have created it, and have full control over it, so we can choose to use it to our advantage.

the most important thing to understand. is that NOTHING is outside of Gods mind. EVERYTHING is created and "made up" by God. this human dream, Is here for us as God to dream it.

time is a made up construct, for the human experience to make sense. it would not make sense that everything exists at the same time. but for God it does. as your true self. nothing is separate, there is no lack. it seems that way, because to make this experience as "limited" as possible, time and the illusion of lack, have to exist. but truly it does not. everything and anything you can imagine right now, exists at this moment.

there are different levels of "waking up" different levels of lucidity. and this determines how much you "understand/believe" and in that way, determines what you "can do" at this moment. some people can make things shift before their eyes simply by wanting something, others can shape shift etc. it all boils down to your level of lucidity.

lucidity = level of awakening

it will all come. it will, but you have to experience it yourself, and keep experiencing it to "level up" your lucidity.

there are no rules. no limitations, other than the ones you create. the past and future does not exist, but you can still choose to "revise" the past if that's what you want to. or you can completely let go of the concept of a past and future.

if you want to report affirmations, then you do that. there are no rules. you are the absolute authority, this is why I have transcended teachers, and am doing my own thing.

hi pink! how are you! honestly your recent posts have inspired me to fix my void concept and honestly learn more about the law but i rlly struggle with reading neville's work. like i just finished reading at your command and it was honestly super good and has given me an understanding of the law and how consciousness is our true reality and how we need to turn to imagination BUT it took me forever to read despite only being like 50 pages because I don't understand his word choice and how he talks. so I have to keep rereading the same few lines to really get it. Is there anything you can recommend?

Hi love! How have you been? I completely understand what you're talking about, his words are kind of hard to understand at first. Personally, I think everything you need to know is perfectly explained by @sexydreamgirl in her loa guide. I definetly recommend reading it because it just covers everything you need to know perfectly as well as her answers to this ask and this ask. I also highly recommend @blushydior 's how i manifested my dream life with extremely hard circumstances+how you can too (HIGHLY RECOMMEND, HELPED ME OUT A LOT DURING MY OWN JOURNEY), @fleurlx's post about letting go of the old story, and @charmedreincarnation 's post on how time doesn't exist. Honestly, if you read all these posts, you are good to go and all you need to do is apply. Good luck love!! 💗
