Nightfall: A study in eyes
Nicer or more correct German would be “Wir beide gegen die Welt” or maybe even “Wir, gegen die Welt”, but this is cooler. Anyway, it means “Us against the world”.
Brandenburg-Prussia and later Kingdom of Prussia was a weird little union. Their territories weren’t connected and Prussia wasn’t part of the HRE, while Brandenburg was one of the elector states - it’s a whole mess basically. And yet, in the 18th century Friedrich II tried to take on half of Europe with that mess of a kingdom, and that seemed to work out for him. Sort of.
So here is Brandenburg and Prussia, seeing themselves as the underdogs. Whether they were however, is questionable. So I tried to go for an ominous vibe and went with one of my favorite styles for painting!
