Laito thinks his son is weak.So he throws him into weird rituals to “wake him up.”

There’s a circle on the attic floor. Candles.

A bad smell.Haruki draws with charcoal what scares him the most.

With his hands. So it hurts.

It’s always her. The woman with sewn eyes.

Yui starts thinking maybe Cordelia’s still there.

Laito doesn’t deny it. He just says:

> “He’ll inherit it.”

(“Inherit” here means Haruki’s vampire side.)

Charcoal became his way of speaking without speaking.

It stains. It marks. It weighs.
