south carolina just immediately banned medical transition care for all youth, and for adults on medicaid. please donate to the southern trans youth emergency project, which places money directly in the hands of trans youth so they can travel for care.
The Campaign for Southern Equality, in partnership with state and local organizations, is providing rapid response support to the families of youth who are impacted by anti-transgender healthcare bans that are passing across the South. We are providing grants, navigation support, and resources to impacted families as they ensure their children can access the care they need and deserve. We are currently providing support to impacted families in Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina, and we are preparing to work in other states.
Please join us by donating.
We are honored to work on this project in partnership with The TRANS Program, Mississippi Rising, Inclusion TN, and OUT Memphis.
(ID: text reads "Donate to support the Southern Trans Youth Emergency Fund. Fuel our work to provide direct support to trans youth and families impacted by anti-transgender healthcare bans across the south", below this the Campaign for Southern Equality logo and a link to the fund on their website.)

Me and my fiance are both Queer adults living with my family in Panaca, NV and we need to move somewhere else.
I am Agender Transmasc and Gay Leaning. My fiance is a Trans man, Pansexual, and Indigenous. We are both Disabled- (I have Autism, Depression, Anxiety, DID) (He has Autism, OCD, DID, Depression, Anxiety, and is also physically disabled (needs a cane or crutches, wrist and ankle braces, and medical lotion) Panaca is 5 minutes away from a self promoted “correction facility” and is full of people who genuinely want to send queers to them. Genuinely want queers, poc, disabled people to not have rights. We are NOT safe living here. We are in danger every day. We do not want to end up dead in the streets. We have friends in Oregon and plan on moving into an apartment with them, we would have people we trust around us and would be in a safer place for us. Me and my fiance can be ourselves, live our own lives. The sooner we can get the money, the sooner we can move to somewhere safer for us. The money would cover a U-hual, Two months of rent, and any food and bills while we search for jobs. I will forever be grateful. Any amount helps us! Thank you to everyone who donates!
For one of my classes, I'm creating a zine on showcasing the importance of transgender stories that focuses on the positive experiences of being transgender and rejecting the notion that transness is an inherently negative experience.
Since this is a website in which I see a lot of transgender positivity, I felt that here would be a good source of information as to how other people experience transgender joy.
This is normally when people ask to "reblog to spread the word so I can gather a large sample size," but I hate it when people tell me that I have to reblog things and I tend to not reblog out of spite. However, be aware that if you follow me, this will be on your dash several times for the next week or two, as I want to collect a lot of information. Just be warned that I can and will be mildly obnoxious about this.

Felt I needed to post this here, too. Any help is good help, even sharing it. Sorry this is random.
hi, hello, hey there, i’m elio:)
i’m a queer trans guy of color and i’ve been struggling with money recently (as in can barely afford food kind of struggling), so, if you like gay fiction and have 5 bucks to spare, you can commission any short story you’d like, be that sfw or nsfw* (the price might go up if you want a longer work). you will receive it as soon as possible, which honestly probably means within 24 hours.
in other ‘news’, i’ll also be selling my 25 pound gc2b gift card for 20-22 pounds. you can use it in the uk/international store (it hasn’t been used at all, btw)
if you are interested in either or have questions, send me a message:)
regardless, thank you for taking the time to read this and it’d be amazing if you could help me spread the post, i’d appreciate that a lot:)
have an awesome day, stay hydrated<3
*don’t forget you have to be 18+ for nsfw content
These are pictures from a Trans Rights rally at Purdue University at Lafayette today. HUNDREDS of students showed up and people not even going to Purdue showed up.
Citizens from Lafayette and beyond, students from all parts of the world, and even PASTORS from local churches came out to show their support for trans people and the LGBT+ community as a whole
If people are willing to come out and support trans people they don’t even know, image what they would do for people they DO know. You matter, you specifically, you are loved, and don’t you dare forget it, because you are worth it, these people all care about you enough to fight for you.
Like and reblog and do whatever else the algorithm needs you to do because we need to give as many trans teens hope as possible. the current wave of legislation is so depressing, I can only hope that I reach at least one person. If you want to message me, I am open talk at any time. I already know I would love to meet you! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Thanks Tumblr Dad!
My dear lgbt+ kids,
Dealing with homophobia (and other forms of discrimination or hate) takes a lot of strength.
You may think about people who have to go face-to-face with homophobic people, like listening to (or even arguing against) your dad's anti-gay rant at the dinner table - but it's not only situations in which you could point at one person in the room who is clearly being homophobic right now.
It's also walking into a room full of people you never met and instantly feeling like there's a target on your back. It's sitting amongst your friends and wondering if they'd still be there if they knew. It's lying in your bed at night and feeling overwhelmed by the thought that there is just so much hate out there.
It'd be absolutely wrong to say that being gay is nothing but constant sad thoughts about homophobic people - but we do carry the knowledge with us that homophobia exists. Even if it's not aimed at you directly or you are not staring in its face right that moment, it is a burden to carry that with you.
Sometimes we don't think about that burden at all and sometimes it can literally feel like a huge weight is lying on our chest.
If it feels heavy for you right now, it's not a sign that you are weak. You are actually doing a very brave thing! You are carrying something really heavy... and also invisible. Something you maybe can't really share with others or feel like they don't understand. That is a tough thing to deal with and you are dealing with it! Giving yourself permission to actually feel the weight of that burden takes a lot of strength - and you do that. You feel the weight and you are still here. Good job, little fighter.
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad
LGBTQIA+ rights in Australia still have a long way to go. Conversion therapy for example is still legal in most places in Australia. Victoria and the ACT have banned it for anyone to do, but Queensland has only banned it for healthcare providers - meaning religious organisations and groups can still legally continue this abusive and harmful practice. That needs to be changed.
Every other state and territory has yet to act.
SO LET'S TAKE SOME ACTION!
Find and support LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups, like Equality Australia, and use their resources to understand what's happening and what needs to change.
Email your representatives both on a state and federal level. Demand action. Also email the Ministers for Health, the PM/Premier/Chief Minister, and anyone else you think is relevant. Demand change. Make them aware that this is an important issue and it could lose them votes if they don't act.
Spread awareness! Talk to people directly to tell them to do the same, make social media posts telling people why this matters and what to do, and get the message out through various means like TikTok, youtube, instagram, etc. This must be a collective effort and the only way to do that is to make sure many people know and care. If you see one TikTok about emailing MPs then you might think about it, but if you see two or three about the same issue then it starts to really reach people and encourages them to do the same.
Organise with your friends to learn more and help each other. Unsure how to write an email to MPs? Work together to draft templates and share them around. Unsure how to approach others about how to talk about this issue? Chat with friends about how to go about introducing this topic in conversation. Want to know more? Share articles together to keep each other up to date and informed.
Repeat, repeat, repeat! Sustained effort is key. This might be as simple as setting a calendar reminder to yourself to send a follow up email in month's time, and then another month's time, etc. You haven't forgotten. The law hasn't changed - so don't let MPs forget either. This is a cruel injustice that must be fixed and it's up to our elected MPs to learn that fixing it should be a priority. Follow up with people after a month or two. Have they emailed MPs? Is it time to make a new video/post? Are there any new petitions to sign?
Together, we can build pressure and work together to bring this to the forefront of MPs' minds.
We're going to get this fucking fixed.
