I’m a “message me when you get home so I know you’re safe” kinda person.

When I first moved to this country, everyone was so shocked at how I would greet my friends with a kiss on the cheek. But I never stopped doing that, and now, so many of my homies do that too lol. I started a movement in my friend group, where kissing on the cheek as a sign of affection is completely normal no matter if its a dude or a girl.

I hope this doesn't sound rude but it's so bizarre to me how North-Americans just simply refuse to be casually affectionate with friends. Like, why won't you hug your friend? Cuddle with them, ruffle their hair, kiss their cheek, give them a massage, whatever! It's not necessarily sexual or sensual or malicious or anything like that! It's just affection. Just love. Life is so short to not express love to the people in your life just because you're afraid of being vulnerable or think It's weird. This is truly heartbreaking to me because affection between friends is something perfectly common and normal here in my country. Like, literally, why not cuddle with your friend? What's wrong with it? Not everything has to be sexual or flirting LOL platonic love exists and it's not weird or disgusting or awkward or obscene. It's beautiful! Love between friends is one of the most beautiful things in life and needs to be cherished while we're still here ❤️

while there’s a lot of talk about keeping minors safe on this site I think we should also talk about keeping young adults safe as well. people who have just turned 18, people in their early 20’s, etc. Cause older people here will still take advantage of you. Especially if you’re new to a kink community. They’ll use your lack of experience or kink knowledge to make you think behaviors like coercing someone to send personal pictures or delve into roleplay/ teasy talk without consent are normal and acceptable. They’ll use your eagerness to meet new friends to groom you into an imbalanced power dynamic that they control. I see people in their 30’s and 40’s and even 50’s creeping into 18 year olds blogs disguising themself as a “welcoming” friend when really their true intentions can be spotted a mile away from people their own age. Age gaps aren’t just dangerous to minors, they can be dangerous to all.
