What? No, it IS a big cage. That’s- it’s the standard size for a knight’s cage I’m pretty sure. NO I’m not going to invest in 500 square feet of dungeon, it’s ONE knight! I’m pretty sure knights live in hovels in the wild anyways which is basically the same- Look, the cage is quite literally gilded. He loves the cage! He loves obediently preening in the cage! Yeah well, when you capture your own knight you can keep it in whatever size castle you want to, but this one’s mine. Especially since you’re so obviously jealous of me and my cute and awesome knight anyway.

You are probably my favourite designers in the business. Treading ground rarely covered in ttrpgs with Silk and Dagger, and covering classic forms of ttrpgs in incredibly novel (and very good!) ways with Eureka and Death Bed. There's nobody whose work I am as excited for as you.

Reblog to Save a Life
I have talked about it before, but independant artists, and by extension independant TTRPG designers like myself and my team, live and die by their social media presence. We can't afford a lot of advertising, if any, and so we rely not only on word-of-mouth advertisement, but also just the good will of our audience. Like another designer @cavegirlpoems put it, we're basically busking, putting our art out for everyone and hoping for voluntary donations, donations which I writing this am reliant on as a disabled designer who can't work a normal job.
If you can't pay, you can still have it for free, and something that can be just as helpful is reblogging the posts of artists like myself. I'll demonstrate with a screenshot from our itch.io page for the open beta for Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy.
(and on these days, it was only about 6 or 7 people who did the reblogging.)
As you can see, reblogs mean more people see our game, which means more downloads (and sometimes even payments), downloads mean more people play our game and more people see our game in the itch.io algorithm, which means more views, which means more downloads, which means more and so on and so on. But, it all starts with you reblogging our posts, and without that, we're stagnate. It doesn't matter if you have 1,000 followers or 10, your reblog means that our posts reach corners of tumblr that wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
Myself and others are reliant on a 2-second reblog to be able to support ourselves as artists, you and your 10 followers are where it starts.
GOOD NEWS: you just discovered magic. BAD NEWS: you specifically just discovered magic, there's nobody more experienced who can explain how to clean up the mess.

Yall should really check out @anim-ttrpgs EUREKA if you like investigative ttrpgs and or supernatural stuff.
Theyve got a long list of very fun traits that make every character unique and intresting, a fun "Tiers of fear" system i enjoy and really in depth and fast combat should it come down to violence (wich it doesnt too often, but when it does its very well crafted).
The biggest draw for a lot of people may be the fact you can play as a supernatural investigator as well though.
Anything from a wolfman over vampires to gorgons and fae!
Theres also "Misc" investigators, less monstrous, not quite human, like the beloved by the community living doll, or the talking dog, or the humble mage.
And should you ever tire of the pretty large roster of playable investigator types and traits this game really lends itself to making your own misc or monster type to play! (Thats what i did for my most used character)
EUREKA is great and yall should give it a try.
If youre looking for groups to play with youre always welcome to join the @anim-ttrpgs bookclub discord server! Where we play different ttrpgs all the time and the "other games section" is full of people willing to play eureka (or other games) at any time!

One really fun thing about Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy (by @anim-ttrpgs) is that every character is a little bit weird, but they can still be weird in commonplace and normal ways. The system of Traits and Truths means that effectively every character will have a different combination of qualities that make them good at some things and very bad at others, but in a lot of cases those qualities can be super true to life. There’s no such thing as an “average” person, but the game understands the ways that “normal” people are weird.
Like, yeah, some people just have bad social skills. Some people work better under pressure. Some people are shape shifting man eating aliens. These are normal, comprehensible, commonplace ways to be a freak, and Eureka lets you represent that in your characters.

"Why include sexism in your medieval fantasy setting unless you're sexist" is a stupid question but it is also quite easily answered by the fact that Death Bed's pre-alpha having rules about the strict gender roles of the middle ages and traits that are gender "locked" means it already has more mechanical support for gender-noncomformity as something personally meaningful to a character than D&D ever will with its stated indifference to what you write in the gender field of your character's sheet and the offhanded mention in the footnote of a side paragraph of the third reprinting of its least popular book that a god who doesn't appear in any official modules is nonbinary

Introducing the Polemos - Honored Guardian
The Apex Renegades Polemos is a mainstay of land-based siege operations. Its massive and imposing frame serves as a force multiplier for any unit it is included in, serving as an indispensable vanguard for any combat situation it is placed into. This can be attributed to the fact that the Polemos was designed to complement the rest of A.R.C’s catalog, with the intent of being a monolithic presence on the battlefield that draws fire away from less durable, offensively-oriented frames. Over its years of service, the Polemos has received further refinements to fall in line with more recent frames produced by A.R.C. These changes include an active Phalanx array deployed around the frame at all times, which effectively increases the Polemos’ battlefield presence even further and allows it to push back the enemy’s front line while keeping its own moving forward.

Marching at the front of the Pack is the Polemos, ARC's dedicated front-line shield-wall, the first to come to blows with enemy forces and the first line in stopping the enemy making it any further unscathed. On it's own the Polemos is a formidable shield wall but, alongside it's allies it's strengths are bolstered even further, using their presence to strike harder and Deeper, and the Polemos is almost never alone with it's hoplite drones as backup.
In it's suite of weapons and systems, the goal of the Polemos Frame is to never be caught on the back foot, the ARC Xiphos proves that there is beauty in simplicity and the Face of the Stalwart shield reminds over eager hostiles that a shield is just as effective as a weapon as anything else. However, nothing compares to the Proclamation of Thanatos, the superheavy signature of the Polemos that can crack open the very ground under it's target's feet.
