it's tough to be the strongest sorcerers
i was recently diagnosed with OCD, and we seriously need to change the way we talk about the disorder. the average time between onset of OCD symptoms and beginning to receive treatment is over a decade, and i suspect at least part of the reason why is the way we talk about OCD societally, or rather the way we dont talk about it.
no, OCD isn't the "clean freak" disorder. you dont have to check that your door is locked 17 times in order to have OCD. the actual symptoms of OCD are as varied as any other disorder, but it seems that only the most palatable or easily digestible symptoms get talked about regularly.
no one wants to talk about mental compulsions (ex: ruminating on past and potential future situations with "what ifs"), and how they can be even more severe or disruptive than visible ones.
no one wants to talk about the extremely distressing intrusive thoughts that can happen, let alone the fact that intrusive thoughts dont start and stop with violence. yes, this includes bigotry and pedophilia, and no, people with these thoughts are not bigots or pedophiles. intrusive thoughts play on your fears, not who you actually are.
the reason no one with OCD is talking about their symptoms and experiences is because we're demonized for having them and harassed for expressing them, and that shit is unacceptable. we fucking deserve safe places to discuss our symptoms without fear of it being misconstrued and used against us (or just straight up being verbally assaulted, or worse). thought crime isnt fucking real. your thoughts do not make you a good or bad person, your actions do.

in all seriousness it's very alienating knowing theres Something Wrong With You. like seeing your mental illness come through in your behaviour and thought processes and knowing it's irrational and unhealthy, knowing other people are reading you as weird or stupid, and not being able to do anything about it is such a lonely experience

sun&moons are cute, but i don’t think stsg fit the trope. i can see how they would respectively consider themselves as the moon in their dynamic, dependent on the other (especially gojo and how he used to consider geto his moral compass) but i like to think they’re sun and star to each other.
geto being gojo’s sun, bringing warmth into his life, helping him grow into the person he is. you need the sun to live.
gojo as geto’s star, someone who shines so bright that they’re borderline unattainable, so far from his reality. you dream about stars.
technically they’re both stars, but the way they view their proximity to each other is different; gojo “my best friend, my one and only” and geto “he was my best friend, but we fought and it’s been like that ever since”

you’ll see terfs who more often than not are white (bc of how transphobia benefits white supremacy) say things like “well we aren’t the ones physically attacking trans women in real life! that’s only the men doing it!” (which isn’t even true to begin with) all the time and it’s like…they don’t realize that throughout history white women, as a tool of white supremacy, have always taken the ‘silent’ role of enforcing laws that hurt minorities and then crying out that it isn’t their fault bc they aren’t physically doing harm onto said groups, you’ll see these women push laws that hurt trans kids, laws that make the lives of trans people more dangerous, and start protest that serve no one but themselves in the name of “protecting women” bc they know that white feminity serves them very well when used as a quiet retaliation, you’ll see these women in schools, in juries, in groups, just in public, playing into that fact, white feminity is a violent tool, but a silent one, it isn’t as loud as public hate crimes, or yelling slurs at someone walking down the street, it’s the hushed side eye, the hidden ballot pushing for more extreme violence ontogroups that cannot retaliate, the crying and fainting when things dont go there way bc they know how society values cis white women, and they play into their role, radical white “feminism” is the result of a self imposed victimhood, terfs are quite literally the modern day daughters of the confederacy, maybe you didn’t physically go out and harm someone, but your values and your push for the eradication of marginalized groups is not as quiet as you think it is, history has shown us enough patterns to recognize the behavior
