Ace

How long has it been since he’s been in this cell? Ace couldn’t tell. After being transported to Impel Down, Ace learned that time was irrelevant. What awaits him in the end was the same: death.

Stuck in the darkness with his body chained and aching, he only has his thoughts as company. The freckled man thinks about Thatch. He thinks about Blackbeard and how he failed. He thinks about the demon blood he carries inside him. Lost in a sea of negativity, he was dragged down by the weight of it all. An endless void of nothing but his own failures and worthlessness. But even on the darkest of nights, there is light if you look up.

And that’s what Ace does. He looks up at the top of the cell and thinks about how free he feels when he’s out at sea. The saltiness in the air, the lull of the waves, the sun shining down on him. He wonders about his crew, about what Pops is doing. He thinks about his brothers, the one he lost and the one who’s still out there. He thinks of you and the his baby. His precious treasures. His family. His world.
